Last injection today can only mean one thing, it’s less than 48 hours to Egg collection lol

@Crystal88 love the injection free day! That is a good time for egg collection. My first one was early & I found it a lot easier. Lots of luck & keep us updated! X

my last Egg collection was at 12 o’clock and I had to trigger at midnight that was hard work so I’m hoping this one will be better

how are you going, with your medication. Xx

@Crystal88 thats such a hard time! I am still rather impatiently taking the pill so that hopefully the follicles from the cancelled cycle all fully disappear so we can go again….

Had another scan today, feeling a bit down about my much reduced response this cycle on loads more drugs and the fact that it's cost the best part of 10k, but what can you do. The most frustrating thing is that none of the doctors seem to have any answers or really know what they're doing. Aaargh.

@countrypunk sorry you are feeling down, it’s so hard isn’t it as I don’t think there’s ever consistency in the rounds to the outcomes of that makes sense? Are your follicles not growing as you would like? I wish I had the answer for you or could help! But I am here if you want a rant! X

I feel so cramped today and boobs are so sore I don’t remember having these symptoms last time so I am fearing something not right for tomorrow 😐

I will know in about 12 hours xx

@Crystal88 Don't worry about those symptoms, I had massively sore boobs before and after my egg collection last round. Loads of luck. Keep going with the flow! Xx

@LF82 Thank you. Follicles growing at different rates and half the number of the first cycle. Just mega frustrating that our bodies can be so unpredictable and the science can't overcome that yet! Xx

@countrypunk I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down, it's really hard going with the scans and meds and then when things aren't quite as you hope. But keep going, I hope the smaller follicles catch up and as we always say, a lot can happen in a few days, sending love and strength x

@LF82 @Foreverhoping33 glad to hear you ladies both had a lovely and well deserved holiday. I'm counting down the day, 6 working days left and we go next Wednesday! Very much needed. Xx

@countrypunk it is so tough in the middle when you don’t know how things are going, I feel for you right now and am sending love. but as @Jx3303 hs said lots can happen in a few days so try to stay positive. Hopefully the smaller ones will catch up and you will be able to get lots of eggs at collection.

@Jx3303 holiday sounds nice where are you off to? Hopefully it will give you a full break of thinking about anything work/ivf related and you can just recoup a bit. My learning from my holiday is I haven’t been kind enough to myself so going forwards I plan to take more sick days when I need them rather than always trying to struggle through. Xxxx

@Foreverhoping33 off to Majorca, we booked it after our miscarriage as something to look forward to and I'm glad we did. I amen't very kind to myself either, I'm really beating myself up about my weight gain but know I shouldn't. Trying to find a positive podcast to listen to cos I feel like at the weekend I can stay distracted but I get myself into a bit of a depressed state weekdays especially as I'm at home and my OH is in the office Monday - Wednesday. Definitely take the days you need going forward. How are you feeling? Xx

@Jx3303 oh Majorca will be lovely! Definitely all need to be kinda to ourselves, ivf is such a tough thing to go through we are all amazing for doing it! And shouldn’t be beating ourselves up for putting on weight or taking sick days (I know so much easier said than done).

@Jx3303 and @countrypunk im doing ok thanks, currently 6weeks +4 and starting to get some nausea in the morning and can feel my boobs more so trying to relax a bit (not that successful though). Got a scan next week so just trying to hold out till then and otherwise not think about it all that much- again not successfully!

@Foreverhoping33 Oh it's impossible not to. I hope you're enjoying it and able to feel excited. I think we should all allow ourselves that after such a slog to get there ❤️❤️❤️

@Jx3303 Love Majorca! It's very grey where I am today so decided to make myself envious by checking Majorca weather - wall to wall sunshine 🌞

@Foreverhoping33 I know, I'd be saying the exact same but it's hard to take your own advise isn't it! Not long now til your scan, it's hard not to think about it I completely understand. I hope you have some nice things planned for the weekend to keep you busy. I hope that you are able to enjoy it and excited as @countrypunk says x

@countrypunk it's quite grey today with us too and we've had sun mixed with torrential rain lately like I think a lot of places. Have they said when they hope collection will be for you? Xx

just got home

only got two eggs which was from the two big follicles on the left side

the rest of the sacks were empty not sure why they are going to try and investigate has doctor was really puzzled

wait for call tomorrow to see if anything fertilities which have to just wait and see

now just chilling in bed watching tv xx

@Crystal88 I hope you're feeling ok and resting up for the rest of the afternoon.

I'm sorry that the rest were empty, I hope that the two you had collected were strong eggs and will fertilise and grow to blasts. I had two eggs collected last time too x

Afternoon all, egg collection going ahead on Friday.

Has anyone here ever done a dual trigger? My doctor mentioned it today but then said there wasn't a lot of evidence in favour so we're not doing it.
