@countrypunk it’s short protocol for me I am going with ABC which is create sister company. It’s the one I did my NHS cycle with. Because I don’t have any medical problems preventing pregnancy just they think my egg quality is poor and other half sperm is low is mobility and when I had my scan it looked and lining was fine ok I can go with abc which is nurse led instead of doctor led that create is. It means it’s cheaper at 4k for one round of icsi.

keeping small medication due to me having high BMI I have to have a high dose of meds

Bemfola 225units and Cetrotide 250microgram the same had my nhs cycle has I did get 6 mature eggs from this but only one fertilised

hoping that acupuncture and coq10 and other meds I’m taking will mean quality better this time xx

@countrypunk yeah completely understand and I fully know what it's like to want to try and do all these things to hope it helps a cycle. But yeah def best to try and stay as unstressed as possible ❤️

Back to EPU today. Top of my womb looked clearer but still tissue further down. I got all the options again and went for medical - took meds there and got to come home and hope something happens. They'll call tomorrow. Afternoon on the sofa and Netflix for me xx

@Jx3303 I don't know what kind of telly you're into but I really enjoyed both Colin From Accounts and I Kissed A Boy on bbc recently, if you need some easy watching. Also Call My Agent! on Netflix is brill - in French so you have to concentrate and read the subtitles (which is kind of good cos I tend to multi task when I'm watching TV and have to constantly replay things). Xx

@Crystal88 there's an ABC clinic where I live but I'm too old for them! I don't know what medication I'll be on yet but apparently the highest dose 😵‍💫

@Jx3303 ahh i am so sorry you are still going through the physical side of this… like everyone has said don’t be apologising for taking time off work or not going to things. Do everything you need to look after yourself

@countrypunk its so hard when you read all this stuff about doing this and that but I think so what works for you. After my cycle 2 I re-read it starts with an egg & threw out a load of plastic stuff in the kitchen as thought that would help 🤣

My latest update… MRI results showed very mild Adenomyosis.

Which basically now means a longer journey for me as it can impact successful implantation. They need to put me through 3 months of down regulation to suppress estrogen (as this starves the tissues that grow in adenomyosis) before I have a transfer. He said this was his reccomended course of action…..

Though before I get to that stage I have one more freeze all cycle to through in the hope of getting more embryos - which due to the last cycle means wait for withdrawal bleed, take the pill for 21 days, next AF go for a scan on day 2 and if all follicles from this cancelled cycle have gone start my injections again. He is keeping me on 200gonal f … though said he might increase to 225.

Suprisingly, I am currently very calm! X

@countrypunk thank you so much, I've heard Colin from accounts is good and will need to look up the others! Binged selling sunset and the pregnant one wasn't too much thankfully. I avoided it for a bit thinking she would be 😂
Funny I watched a French show when I was last down in Manchester set in the war, I loved it!!

@LF82 I'm really sorry to hear your results and that you have to down reg 😞 my friend who has endo and did IVF in Spain did that too at one point. I really really hope before that you can freeze some more embryos, and then get your body prepared for transfer. The waiting is always hard bur you're dealing with this app amazing and you will get there ❤️

Nothing happening with meds other than they made me very sleepy and I had a nap. Trying not to be such a pessimistic but not convinced they are going to do anything. Xx

@Jx3303 I am hopeful that the meds today making you feel drowsy means they are starting to do what they need to do. Not sure if that makes sense!

If you haven’t already watched it Schitts creek on Netflix is really funny! And has no babies/pregnancies from what I can remember

I actually surprised how calm I am but I think I have realised I actually have no control so I might as well just concentrate on one thing at a time - and that’s currently getting to the next cycle & freezing some embryos 🤞 x

@LF82 I'm not sure if it was the actual meds or the other pills which were stronger painkillers. But hopefully. I think if not, I'll just try and leave it and hope that whatever is left comes out next period - which the nurse said today likely would. However it can't be guaranteed I suppose and that's what I want - a guaranteed end to this.

I really admire your attitude and it's encouraging me to want to have the same. Sadly we can't control anything and yes, look towards the next step and not further at the moment. I'm trying that too, get through this - I cannot even think about another transfer and know it's not something that I will be ready to do soon (even if physically my body behaved which it doesn't) xx

I will keep my fingers crossed for you both! @countrypunk i also had my best egg collection the cycle I had given up a bit and drank alcohol and let my hair down. I have decided mental health is super important so please don’t worry.

@Jx3303 im so sorry for everything you are still going through. I think you are being amazingly strong! Absolutely understandable about cancelling attending the wedding and do not even think twice about work it just isn’t important. Hoping this is all over soon but is as painless as possible. im sending you lots of love!

@LF82 im sorry to hear your update. I am not too sure what adenomysis is but I know the wait you have been recommended is devastating. It is the waiting for ivf which is truly one of the most difficult bits. I think you are being incredibly strong from your messages and would agree to take it one step at a time. Let’s focus on getting those embryos first!
I also think it may be worth considering giving your body a rest from the drugs even if for one month to see if that helps. I was recommended to have a hysteroscopy for scarring and wait 4 months but instead I waited 1 month and then pushed ahead and it seems that 1 month break helped my lining to improve (who knows if the cycle will be successful though yet)…
again I am sending lots of love, we will all get there in the end I’m sure!!

update from me: still plodding on, found this tww much harder than last time and still not very positive on the outcome. I still have absolutely no symptoms at all except for some back ache on Monday and a bit today. No spotting or period though which I’m taking as good news, though is probably just due to the drugs I’m on. Will test Saturday morning and take our next steps from there.
either celebrating in Italy or commiserating by drinking ALL the wine in Italy….🤞🤞🤞 for the former!

@Jx3303 honestly there’s nothing to admire I have my up & down days. The day before yesterday I was so upset as someone at work announced they were pregnant. Yesterday I was calm…
It’s just so hard - I know you know this. I think my coping mechanism at the moment is let’s just concentrate on the next cycle, actually getting to egg collection & hopefully some embryos

@Foreverhoping33 thank you lovely 💕 the meds haven't had any impact so I think sadly I'm not going to get the guaranteed closure we'd hoped for. They said they'd call today and I'll see what the advise. I'm reluctant for surgery again so I may just have to leave it and hope whatever tissue is left comes away with my period. Not what I wanted but we've really tried.

I'm really sorry that this tww has been harder. You're incredibly brave and strong, hang in there. It's lovely that you have Italy to look forward to and I so so hope it's celebrating lovely positive baby news. I am thinking of you and sending all the positivity your way x

@LF82 pregnancy announcements are so hard, especially when you're right in amongst IVF or some disheartening news. I hope you're ok 💕 I completely agree, everyone is an amazing support and such a help, I really appreciate each and every one of you x

Hi all, thanks @Cat89 and @Jx3303 for your lovely messages.

I got up and tested this morning very much expecting a negative but am pleased to say it was a faint bfp!! I’m in total disbelief as I thought I knew my body! Won’t be hugely celebrating it just yet but over the moon to have made it to the next stage. Wanted to thank you all for the support you have given, this group really helps me cope so much!!

looking forward to hearing about everyone else’s cycles coming up too! Xxxx

Totally would feel the same @Crystal88 Hoping all goes well! My withdrawal bleed started and am now weirdly on the contraceptive pill for 21 days 🧐

@Crystal88 oh that’s great to be starting a new cycle! Hope the injections go well and are painless! Scan on Friday is not too far away luckily!

@LF82 oooo is this you starting again with your next cycle? Must feel odd being on contraceptive pill but hopefully will lead to success! Xxx

I'm starting this week on the highest stims and I've just read a research paper that says high doses of stims can damage eggs in older women and lead to abnormal embryos. I just feel completely out of control and like none of the doctors we see know what they're doing and I'm angry and pissed off and hopeless.
