Hi All,

Looking for others starting their FET cycle in March. This will be my 5th cycle (after 4 cycles last year). I did PGT-A testing this time and my embryos went down from 13 to 4. Hoping for success this time round and just wanted to go through the journey with others.

@KKDec23 Im so sorry to hear, I can imagine how you feel. Please be kind to yourself and just take it easy. It’s all you can do at the moment. I had 4 failed cycles last year and I completely understand the hurt and pain you are going through but you will get through it and pick yourself up again. Many hugs x

@Rainbowpeach Thank you for such kind words. I could use a lot of hugs now.

Zus · 24/03/2023 20:30

@KKDec23 I'm so sorry to hear the news! I know it's very hard but you have done the best. Take your time and start again! I'm sure you will reach there! All the best x

Zus · 24/03/2023 20:35

@Rainbowpeach thank you Hun x I always feel really happy when ladies go through IVF get positive pregnancy test and outcome. We don't just get pregnant after sleeping with our partner! We have to go through so much emotion, pain, medication etc. So I feel really happy for you 💞

Zus · 24/03/2023 20:41

@Bookiebooboo Thank you very much 💞 oh yes! IVF gives us lot of struggle and surprise! I hope all goes well for you. I had the same issue 2021 Feb. I have started FET medicated cycle, but my lining didn't response at all and then they have changed the medication and increase the dosage and I had scan on my birthday. They advised that my lining is not responsive to the medicines and they have to stop and I have to cancel the cycle. I was sad like hell! Especially on my birthday! But the following month I started again and then I had my daughter same year on December 21 as a Christmas gift.

You will reach there! Lots of baby dust 💞💞💞

@zus thank you 🥰

@KKDec23 many hugs 🤗🤗🤗

Ladies, does anyone know if after a positive pregnancy test using a private clinic if NHS will start giving us free medication or we need to carry on paying for the medication till 12 weeks with the private clinic?

OP posts:
Zus · 25/03/2023 08:42

@Rainbowpeach for my daughter, I have paid my medication for 12 weeks with a private clinic but I have informed my GP and they registered me with a hospital that I want. Then, I had my scan at the hospital around 8th week (early pregnancy scan) due to my previous history. I didn't stop the medication as soon as I hit 12 weeks, I have gradually stopped so rest of the medication GP (family doctor) prescribed and it's free.

When you are pregnant, we have to inform our GP and get registered in a hospital here. You will have to fill a form with your due date etc ... Then all the medication are free for you until 1 year. Dentist also free but I didn't do anything with dentist.

Rainbowpeach · 25/03/2023 10:08

@Zus that makes sense. Thanks so much!!

Please has anyone been able to order Utrogestan recently? My clinic mentioned last week that there is a national shortage…

OP posts:
cat234 · 25/03/2023 18:25

@Rainbowpeach
nope. I was on utrogestan for my FET. Clinic advised they didn’t have any in stock and were suggesting swapping to cyclogest, said it would be fine. I said I’d rather not swap, rang loads of places but no where had it available, so have ended up swapping.

Was on 200mg utrogestan three times a day and have been swapped to cyclogest 400mh twice a day, so actually total of 800mg/24hrs rather than 600mg/24hrs, so slightly higher dose I guess in a way.

Just really, really, hoping it’s all ok, really don’t like having to change drug part way through.

Rainbowpeach · 25/03/2023 18:56

@cat234 thankss gosh that’s annoying. I don’t like the idea of swapping either! I wonder why there is a shortage, so random. I like Utrogestan cause it comes with the applicators, I wish cyclogest had that

Hi @zus thank you for the reassurance it means a lot as I was feeling let down on Friday but understand my doctors decision he was not going to attempt a transfer under no circumstances and we had a mock cycle last month and my lining was ok so he said we must carry on with a new cycle and get it right so at least I am in good hands and they aren’t just attempting it and hoping for the best,oh well lol 😂

Zus · 26/03/2023 13:12

@Rainbowpeach @KKDec23 Hey ladies, I used to have utergentrone for my 2 cycle and I was so comfortable. This time as mentioned earlier, my cycle is completely different! Hope it works!

I'm now having just eastrogen tablets 3 a day and cyclogest 2 a day. Morning and night , 1 via vaginally and 1 via bottom at the same time which I'm not comfortable. My clinic also advised that it's shortage but very weird for a private clinic to advise like this!

All the best ladies 😉

Zus · 26/03/2023 13:14

@Bookiebooboo Hey Hun, that's is the correct and perfect decision I would say. You don't want to waste an embryo. Better to do it when it's right time and the good news is you are in good hands.

Time will heal everything and you will reach there for sure, but I know delays and disappointed are common in IVF.

Take care ❤️

Rainbowpeach · 27/03/2023 05:00

@Zus yea Utrogestan is so good, I absolutely love using applicators too. I’m hoping the shortage is fixed soon. I can imagine it being uncomfortable if it’s via the bottom! I saw in the other IVF March group chat that people prefer it via the bottom! Maybe if the shortage is rectified your doctor might let you switch.

Rainbowpeach · 28/03/2023 08:32

Hi girls! Please has anyone had to take prednisone or Prednisolone in the past and how long did they take it for during their pregnancy?

OP posts:
Sj2505 · 28/03/2023 08:33

@Rainbowpeach I have it prescribed ready for my transfer and I have to take it until 8/9 weeks of pregnancy.

Rainbowpeach · 28/03/2023 08:48

@Sj2505 oh really, what dosage? My clinic is refusing to give me past OTD and it’s so silly cause alot of clinics do give that option. I used it last cycle and I got pregnant, it was the game changer after so many failed cycles but then once I stopped taking it at OTD I then had a miscarriage. I’m so nervous this will happen again. Is it Prednisolone or prednisone you take?

OP posts:
Rainbowpeach · 28/03/2023 12:34

@Sj2505 after conversations with the doctor at my clinic they have given me the prescription for Prednisolone post OTD! Yay thank you :)
