Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

@Jayjay08 I am so sorry to hear you are struggling, does your clinic offer counselling as it might help you to talk to someone professional? I have had some sessions with a counsellor through work recently and it’s really helped as I was (still am) very emotional and up and down with it all x

Hi @Jayjay08 sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I agree please call the clinic and let them know. Maybe there is another medication that would be better suited to you.
@Carly05 I looked back at at lot of old posts after my scan last week and there were lots of people with 3 follicles who got embryos and BFP. It seems some follicles have more than one egg in too. I'm glad you have to go ahead for EC. How are you feeling about it?

Hi,
I went for another appointment today and I have 4 follicles- 19,18,17 and 12. 20 under 10. My projesterone is 1.9nmol and my oestradiol is 3035.6. They phoned me earlier and said to trigger tonight for collection on Wednesday but this was before these results come in and now they are closed. Is this ok results I’ve googled but it’s all conflicting.

Thanks jupiteer for the reasurance. Was a little disappointed only 3 but Just have to hope they are 3 good eggs! Bit Nervous about the egg collection 😬. Good luck with Ur scan tommorrow, let me know how it goes 🤞. P s the ice did help a little this morning 😁

LF82 Thanks for the encouraging words about my low follicle count. 🤞🤞🤞the quality is good. Good luck for your 1st cycle when do you start your meds?

@Carly05 Glad the quality is good! It only takes one 🤞 I am waiting for my period to start - predicted this weekend so we shall see. Am getting a bit impatient!

Had my scan this morning and go ahead for my menopur 1st injection done!! Really proud of myself. Was no where near as bad as I had built up in my head 🤩 any side effects that I should be looking out for? Xx

I hope you ladies are getting on ok with stims! First few days can be daunting and the scans you just don't know what you're going to see. But keep going, the clinic will know what's best, and if that's upping meds, stimming for a few days longer, going to egg collection - they know whats best and will be taking good care of you all I'm sure ❤️

@Jayjay08 I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling so low. As the others say, I would definitely call your clinic. I cannot recommend counselling enough, I have spoke with a counsellor regularly since last September and she has helped me through really hard times. X

@Jayjay08 Sorry you’ve been feeling so low. Hope you’re feeling a bit better. Did you end up triggering? I hope it went ok if you did.

Yay for everyone who has started stims.

Day 6 of stims today. I’m not uncomfortable but I’m definitely feeling something. Twinges here and there and feeling like I’ve pulled a muscle in my groin/hip area. I suspect it’s stims related.

First Stims scan in day 8 (Thursday).

yea I triggered last night for retrieval tomorrow- so nervous for my first one and more nervous the fact that there’s only 3 mature eggs - feel like I’m going to go through this for no reason as none will fertilise. Bearing in mine my AMH is good at 23 and I had loads of follicles under 10 - just feel like none are going to make it

@Jayjay08 Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Quality over quantity! Hopefully they’ll be good eggs that fertilise. We just have to take it one step at a time.

Yeah just hard doing this for 9 months and nothing at the end- although I know that others have done it longer - tried to phone the clinic today to see about my blood results but they said they’ll call me back and never did. So still unsure about them too. I’m just kind of hoping that at least 2/3 become blastocysts so I can freeze one as I don’t think I can continue this medication and I expect that they’ll give me a higher dose if I did want to continue. So I kinda am putting more pressure on myself because I feel that this is probably my last hope and waiting for that phone call every day to see how many have made it is something that I’m just dreading. Secretly praying that I have hidden follicles and the 3 turn into 30 😂

Hi jayjay best of luck for egg retrieval today 🤞🤞 let's hope they collect 3 amazing quality eggs xx I'm triggering tonight for collection Friday morning ( as long as all good at scan this morning) I'm in exactly same boat as you , only 3 follicles, so let's hope they are good un's 😂. I hope those 3 follicles have some lovey eggs. A positive story from me - I had just the 4 follicles last time, and we got 4 mature eggs, 3 fertilised and all 3 made it to the freezer (1 day3 and 2 day5s) so quality over quantity does happen. Everything crossed for too both x

I'm having the opposite problem and on day 10 of stims I already have OHSS. 40 follicles and my hormone level is through the roof. At least this explains why I don't feel well.
They are having a professionals meeting today to see if they can go ahead with EC but I have been warned they will likely cancel the whole cycle and try again in a few months with a lower dose.
I am gutted but just have to see what they say.

So they got 3 eggs .. they phoned me but for some reason they couldn’t tell if they were mature yet… they also told me that they thawed the sperm and it has low mobility so they are moving to icsi. They said I am suitable for a fresh transfer on Monday if any survive .. my lining was at 13mm on Monday so my transfer day would it be too thick? Surely it will grow much more and I read that pregnancy rates are low it lining is over 14mm 🙈

@Jupiteer Ouch! Drink ALL the water. have you had an update?

@Jayjay08 3 eggs is good! Hopefully they’ll be good to transfer. Not sure about the lining question though, sorry.

hi ladies, hope everyone is ok. Honestly why is it every month when k haven’t wanted AF to start it’s been there and this month when I want to start treatment it’s taking it’s time! Arghh! I am due at the weekend but usually have cramps by now. Am so impatient x

@LF82 same!! I'm willing mine to turn up! Had thought it might come earlier than predicted and now I'm also at the date my app says, tomorrow! Fingers crossed AF arrives for us soon!! We're heading down to Manchester on Saturday so I really hope so xx

@Lauralozzle yes am feeling very full and tender! The hospital have said they will do daily scans and bloods and make a final choice on fri.
It is difficult as even though I have 40 follicles they are too small for EC yet (12mm) but they don't want to continue too long as more might come. I am not sure whether to hope for EC or not. Obviously I don't want a cancelled round and the disappointment plus the feeling of wasting eggs. But unsure if there will even be good results at EC with so many small follicles and the risk of feeling terrible with ohss after!!!
Such stress!

Also @Jayjay08 will keep everything crossed for you for 3 good embryos xxx

Jayjay that's great they got 3 eggs ! I'll keep everything crossed they develop well now for transfer. How was the procedure?? Was it uncomfortable?? I'm nervous about it. I hadn't realised implantation chance effected if lining above 14 mm ... I didn't ask how thick mine was.

Ovitrelle trigger tonight anyone used this.... Easy to inject, any side effects? X

@Jayjay08 that's great news they got 3! They will be able to tell you how many mature and fertilised tomorrow as your first update, everything crossed for you! Sorry I'm not too sure about lining either!

@Jupiteer I'm sorry to hear you're in limbo and not sure about collection. I really hope that at your next appointment you'll have some good sized follicles ready for collection 🤞🏻

@Carly05 I've triggered with ovitrelle, not too stingy and no side effects for me! Good luck and enjoy your med free day tomorrow if that's you done after trigger xx
