Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

@Carly05 welcome 🧡 the first cycle can be so daunting, we're all here for support x I've done 2 cycles with 300ui menopur before, I had difficulty sleeping, some night sweats, bloating on it, just try and take easy and plenty rest and water. Wishing you all the luck!

@TW6 that's great AF has arrived and you can get started. Sending lots of luck and love 💕 I've had scans right before AF as a baseline and on day 5/day 9 of stims. These were all internal scans. So yeah I'd assume internal as that's all mine have ever been xx

Thanks HJen22. ❣️ Nice to spk to people who have been through it too . Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight. So far tummy bloating mild pain and tiredness++. Did u also have Fyremadel? Nurse said this can be uncomfortable Injection with site irritation ? 😬X ( I'm such a baby with injections)

@Carly05 I hope you do ❤️ listen to your body, a nice Dr said to me to not force myself to do anything, if I was tired to rest. It's putting our bodies through a lot, and our minds so be kind to yourself. I was very tired too but I'm naturally quite sleepy early on haha not a night owl at all! I find I wake up super early on the lead up to stims, it's started already!

I was on cetrotide but I did do a couple extra jabs of Fyremadel last cycle! I would sometimes get a little red bump but it went away quite fast! Sometimes they would be a wee bit stingy but it would ease up quite quickly. I hated them at first too, I cried with overwhelm quite a few times snd the first cycle by a week in I was like ugh I'm so over it haha but you can do it 💗

@HJen22 @TW6 the nurses appointment went well - though lots of information! Going to be on Gonal F 150, centroide & then ovitrelle for the trigger. (mild ivf) We have spent this evening watching loads of videos she sent & doing all the many, many consent forms!

@LF82 Aw I'm glad it went well! I've had calls with Mia and Emma, was it either of those lovely ladies? I am on Bemfola same dose of 150ui. Gosh I know so many consents aren't there! I hope the chat and videos have made you feel a bit better and prepared, you have totally got this! Is your parent going to attempt the injections for you? Xx

@HJen22 it was Olivia, she was so nice so that helped! Yes we have agreed that he is going to do the injections as I really don’t think I could do them myself at least initially anyway. When are you starting your injections for this round?
My meds arrive on Friday - it’s all feeling very real now! X

@LF82 I have likely met her but she didn't do any of my consultations! Everyone I've met has been super lovely, I'm glad she was too. Yeah good idea, I felt it added onto my stress me doing it cos I was so scared I was doing it wrong. I did a heap my second cycle as my OH was away one day so I thought I'd better do a few on the lead up, my friend came round to support me and I was so worried I hadn't got it all in!

My app is saying AF due a week tomorrow but it could be anywhere from Monday (that would be CD25 and I've had plenty of cycles that short) so not long! Yours is round about the same time isn't it? Xx

@HJen22 dont you love an app! I am predicted a week on Sunday, generally I am quite regular but who knows this time. When do you guys come to Manchester? X

@LF82 I know it's rarely right! It's estimated this month longer because last month was after the ivf cycle! So who knows haha! Last time we drove down cycle day 4 and had the first scan the next day on day 5. We'll likely do the same again! We've got our accommodation all sorted with a guesstimate of between 26th and 29th - same lady but different house and she knows why we're down so she's super understanding! We will have to move after EC I think but then we can go somewhere further away since we won't be at the clinic u til transfer. How far are you from the clinic? I loved the area and all the amazing houses to snoop at, it seems a very affluent area! Xx

@HJen22 oh that’s so good the lady who owns the house is so understanding! Definitely helps. We live about 35-40 mins away on the other side on Manchester. The area where the clinic is based is v nice! X

@LF82 yeah cos it's so hard not being able to book until my period comes and we know when the first scan is 🙈 this house is a bit smaller but sure we'll manage! We just want to be close by as my OH will be working whilst we're down.

Yeah when we visited and seen there was a Rolex shop and an Aston Martin car showroom on the same street we were like wow ok this is posh!! Some of the houses where I walked the dog last time we were down were insane! And is it normal for you guys to have so many squirrels?? I counted 7 in one day! I was loving it! We don't get that many up here!

@HJen22 hopefully the house will have all the space you need if it is smaller. Yeah I always see squirrels about - usually one running along my garden fence every day!

@LF82 yeah it looks very similar just the last one had a wee sun room off the bedroom where we set up an office. We'll def make do as super reasonably priced and close by. Aw how cute! We do get them up here sometimes but I've never seen as many! X

Can I join the thread? Looks like I'm at a similar stage to some of you guys. I'm on day 3 of stims.
I am finding the menopur stings quite a bit but not sure if I'm just a wuss!
This is our first cycle and we have been TTC for 3yrs with no BFP. It's very nerve wracking but hoping for some good results 🤞

Hi jupiteer. Yes sounds like we r at the same stage... I'm on day 3 of stim with 1200 menopur. 😬A little stingy but not to bad. 1st IVF cycle for me too. I mixed up the menopur tonight and it has a a load of foam sitting on top of the liquid?? Not sure whether to use it ... Mixed another which is clear. Will chk with nurse tommorrow. All very stressful! ( And only day 3 😂) how are you feeling on the meds any side effects ?

Hi @Carly05, great to have a cycle buddy!
I wasn't having any side effects until this afternoon, I am feeling quite bloated. it's only day 4 of stims which doesn't make me feel great about the symptoms next week! I have however been told I am at risk of OHSS. I have a scan tomorrow so will see if all looking good.
How have you been feeling?

Hi jupiteer! Yes good to spk to someone else at the same stage as me😌. Yep day 4 menopur 375 iu, what dose are u on ?feeling ok just tired and headache. Start Fyremadel Saturday too which is supposed to sting ! So not looking forward to a week of 2 injections every morning b4 work. How u finding injecting yourself? Are you on the antagonist prog? I have scan Monday and we'd then egg retrieval next Fri 😳. Xx

Welcome to all you new ladies, so sorry if I've missed saying hello to any of you ❤️ I hope those who have started stims are getting on well, and there are some first scans coming up aren't there? I hope they all go well and those follicles are growing nicely 🤞🏻 and also don't be disheartened if a bit slower or smaller or less than expected, a lot can happen in a few days on stims xxx
