HJen22 · 11/01/2023 14:06

Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

Jayjay that's great they got 3 eggs ! I'll keep everything crossed they develop well now for transfer. How was the procedure?? Was it uncomfortable?? I'm nervous about it. I hadn't realised implantation chance effected if lining above 14 mm ... I didn't ask how thick mine was.

Ovitrelle trigger tonight anyone used this.... Easy to inject, any side effects? X

I was nervous too but don’t worry it’s so straight forward literally one minute I’m talking to them the next minute I’m in recovery I don’t remember anything and I only have like period cramps now and slight bleeding and just really tired. Good luck everyone I’ll let you know tomorrow how many mature/fertilise xx

Carly05 · 26/01/2023 06:50

HJen22 trigger was fine not stingy. Just feeling quite bloated but so lovely to have an injection free day today.

Jupiteer I'm willing your follicles to grow a little more so they can set an egg collection date for you🤞🤞 xxx

Carly05 · 26/01/2023 06:52

Jayjay thanks soo much for the reassurance, it puts mind at Ease a little . Glad it all went smoothly and not too much discomfort afterwards. Keeping everything crossed those embryo's develop well xxx

TW6 · 26/01/2023 10:53

@JustBePositive just wanted to check if your still on the tread and how you are doing

Fingers crossed for the ladies that have just had retrievals ♥️♥️♥️

So they rang me today and said they couldn’t tell me about the quality yet but only 2/3 of the eggs fertilised successfully. I am so nervous - I no only 30 percent make it to blastocyst. I literally feel sick- they’re not phoning me untill Saturday now and as they are closed on Sunday they will phone me on Monday to say come in or not ect

Lauralozzle · 26/01/2023 14:49

Had my first stims scans today.

I have 8 follicules, about 6 of them are between 14 - 19. There are two smaller ones about 10/11. Lining is 11.8.

Meds as normal tonight, then back at the clinic tomorrow for another scan.

It’s looking like Monday for egg collection, I’m nearly there, apparently!

@Jayjay08 fingers crossed for you!

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining you :) @HJen22 I just read your first post and saw that you're with Create in Manchester. We have just had our first consultation with the same clinic and had a call from our patient coordinator today, so hopefully we'll be starting IVF in the next couple of months. How are you finding your experience with them? They seem really good so far, but I don't have anything to compare it to!

I'm 35 and heading into our first IVF cycle for baby number 1, we've been trying for nearly 3 years and have unexplained infertility. It's really hard to stay hopeful but I'm glad things are finally moving forward and to have something to focus on. Annoyingly we have a holiday booked at the start of March so have been advised not to go ahead in Feb, but if AF comes a bit later than predicted then we can hopefully go for it in March's cycle 🤞

Wishing you all the best with your cycles!

HJen22 · 26/01/2023 16:20

@Carly05 thats great your trigger went well, I hope you are having a nice med free day, and all the luck for tomorrow's collection!! x

@Jayjay08 everything crossed for a good update Saturday! I find the waiting for calls unbelievably nerve wracking, my heart is in my chest when I answer. Stay strong, you've got this!!

@Lauralozzle that's great, almost time! Sounds like a good number, and they can still grow between now and collection too!

@Bims2019 hi there! Welcome! I cannot fault them so far, every Dr and Nurse we have met have been amazing, our patient coordinator has always been super helpful to my million questions and always gets back to me quickly! They took really good care of us, and I was super closely monitored - which I think made a huge difference and gave us a much better outcome than our previous NHS cycles. Any questions just shout! It will be lovely to have a holiday beforehand too xxx

Hi all, I found out today that I will be starting ivf next month. Really excited but after reading the information pack, I feel really overwhelmed. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. I’m also not clear how long an ivf cycle is - is it 4 weeks or 6 weeks or does it vary?

Lauralozzle · 26/01/2023 22:40

@HJen22 Fingers crossed they grow just enough!

@Katie12444 welcome! I felt very overwhelmed at first, it's a lot of information to take in. Take it one step at a time, this isn't a quick journey, so I marked off each step as each step felt like we were one step closer. Cycles vary, it depends on your protocol, there's longer 'long' protocol that I've been on and a shorter 'short' one, some more natural protocols too.

My long protocol, for example, has been about 4 weeks longer than planned as I didn't respond to the drugs properly at first. Not everyone's journey will be the same. My cycle started 9th December including down regulation, looking at egg collection Monday and hopefully transfer the following Sat. That'll be nearly 2 months. Others will be done in 4 weeks.

Katie12444 · 26/01/2023 22:43

Thank you so much for the reply. Really helpful to know. I’ve got a coordination meeting on Tuesday so hopefully I find out soon. Lots of luck for your egg collection xx

Tamtam123 · 27/01/2023 10:22

Hi it is lovely to read all of you. I hope you do not mind me joining you, I am a nervous wreck right now. Yesterday was my trigger shot day on day 12 (mild IVF). I’ve been on Gonal F 150 and Cetrotide. I quit Gonal F on day 11 and Cetrotide that morning.

Before the trigger shot I went to the toilet and i noticed a lot of mucus with a bit of fresh blood on it. I got very worried as if I had ovulated earlier or something. Does anyone have any experience with this? Today I feel quite normal with no bloating or pain after the Ovitrelle shot, the clinic says they will check everything tomorrow before ER but I am nervous. 😞 I am aiming to freeze all embryos as I do have a fibroid that I will remove next month.

Carly05 · 27/01/2023 16:48

Hi Tamtam i got quite a bit of mucus / discharge after my trigger. I spoke to the nurse about it who said it was normal. I panicked too, really thought I had ovulated already!!

Carly05 · 27/01/2023 16:57

I had EC this morning. I was soo nervous about the conscious sedation but it was just like GA....I don't remember a thing !! I have a very bloated and painful tummy despite a diclofenac suppository, so iv gone back to bed today.
JAYJAY they collected 3 eggs from me too, so waiting to see how many fertlise tommorrow. 😬 Did u have ICSI?

Tamtam123 · 27/01/2023 17:18

Thanks, Carly05, that is reassuring. Congrats on your eggs and hope they fertilise into cute babies.

LF82 · 27/01/2023 17:40

Good luck to everyone have egg collection in the next few days! I am still waiting for AF to make an appearance 🤨

@HJen22 have a safe drive to Manchester tomorrow!

Jupiteer · 27/01/2023 18:13

Hi all
My cycle has been cancelled 2 days before egg collection as I have too many follicles and oestridiol too high. I am so upset. And also so sore.
Best of luck to you all and I will keep following this thread in the hope of seeing your good news x

Carly05 · 27/01/2023 18:31

Jupiteer I'm soo sorry to hear about Ur canx egg collection. It's such an emotional time as there is such a build up both physically and mentally. Sending big hugs. Do you have a fertility counsellor u can talk to? Xxx

Jupiteer · 27/01/2023 18:37

Thank you @Carly05, I hope you are feeling ok post EC.
Yes I have an appt next week x

Hi,
Yes I had ICSI due to low sperm mobility. They collected 3 and 2 fertilised. Waiting for my call tomorrow morning to see if they made it to day 3. It’s a horrible wait. They literally told me that they will phone me on Monday morning to say oh one has made it come in to have it transferred or none made it. Like I can’t imagine that call. I didn’t no that was how they did it either. It’s hard because I don’t know to go into work or not because it’s not like I can just walk out.. I’m a primary school teacher .. just wish the process could be abit different but I will do anything to have that one blastocyst. They spoke to me about having a day 3 transfer but they basically said if it dosen’t make it to day 5 in the lab it won’t make it to day 3 inside you so you’ll end up having a 2WW or a 2 day wait so I said no to a 3 day transfer.

HJen22 · 27/01/2023 21:33

@Katie12444 welcome! Good luck with your first cycle! It can be super overwhelming and daunting! My words of wisdom are be kind to yourself, listen to your body, rest and put yourself first whilst going through this ❤️

@Tamtam123 welcome! Good luck with egg collection tomorrow! I hope all goes well and you come away with some lovely mature eggs and then embryos. Your clinic will make sure all is ok before going ahead, which I'm sure it will be x

@Carly05 congrats on your three eggs! I hope you've had a nice restful day and have a good update tomorrow 🤞🏻

@LF82 thanks lovely! Cycle day 1 for me today 👏🏻 so meds start tomorrow and my first scan is booked for Tuesday. I hope AF turns up for you soon!! And I hope you are feeling ok about getting started x

@Jupiteer I'm so sorry 😞 so upsetting and completely understand you must be gutted. I really hope that the pain goes away asap and you can go again when you're feeling better. Look after yourself ❤️

@Jayjay08 I hope your 2 embryos are still going strong tomorrow, and onto Monday. I am sending all the positive vibes your way! The calls make me feel physically sick, they are just so nerve wracking xx

@HJen22 nothing yet for me AF wise, feeling a bit up & down especially about the injections just think I need it to start now!
@Jayjay08 @Carly05 @Tamtam123 sending you lots of luck & positivity for the next few days!
@Katie12444 welcome!
@Jupiteer so sorry you haven’t had good news, look after yourself x

Katie12444 · 27/01/2023 23:33

Thank you @HJen22

Sending lots of love to you all and positivity for 2023. We can do this!

Carly05 · 28/01/2023 09:11

Jay jay, I totally understand.... Waiting for the call is horrendous especially when we know there are only 3: eggs. I get my day 1 call this morning.... Trying to stay hopeful but we know all his sperm parameters are poor. The consultant spoke about a possible day 3 transfer if they look like they won't survive to day 5 She thought it would be better to give a smaller chance than no chance?? I'm going to have a read of the evidence around preg rates with day 3 blasto's.
Your right, trying to work and concentrate with all this going on is soo hard. I work for NHS in clinic so I have taken 2 days AL next week incase I'm a wreck. Do your work know what's happening... Perhaps take some time off , look after yourself, we are going through some tough mental and physical challenges 😘

Carly05 · 28/01/2023 09:22

Lauralozzle goog luck for your egg collection Monday ❤️

HJen22 hope the scan goes well on Tuesday for u and thankyou for all the positive and reassuring posts u put up for everyone... It really does help 😘

LF82 sending positive thoughts Ur way hoping u can get started soon xx

Jupiteer stay strong 💪❤️

Good luck to everyone else about to start stims xxx
