First cycle - IVF / ICSI - Day 4

My hubby and I are on day 4 of stims - our first IVF cycle. Just wondering if there's anyone else in the same boat who might want to share the journey? :)

Have you searched the name of it on this app and maybe there's a different group with people using it?

@User491 It went okay thank you, I may have a blockage in my right fallopian tube but guess it isn't an issue with IVF. Got follow up to get results of all preliminary tests in about 3 weeks (also on the cancellation list for an earlier follow up)

Oh my god, so sorry ladies. Work has been absolutely mental!!! 4 weeks left, not that I’m counting 😅

@Koalie AH BABY BOY!!!!! Honestly I couldn’t imagine not having a little boy now. Little mamas boy 😭 so so amazing! Congratulations!!! That’s 6 IVF boys I know now - surely it’s statically higher!!! yes!! We got the mamas and papas ocarro, it’s GORGEOUS. Pushes like an absolute dream as well, I am defo obsessed and would 100% recommend! Any names decided yet? Hehe

@Izzie94x Yay you’re back ! How are you? How many weeks now? We have decided on the Ocarro … it was the first one we tried in the shop and we just kept going back to it. I really love the colour Everest but I’ve ruled it out because of how light it is - don’t want it to end up grubby. Thinking now between Onyx and Phantom! Which one did you get? Re name, we have had Leo picked out for a very long time and it’s fully set. 🥰 you still set on Jasper? Xx

I’m back bitchesssss ✌🏼 hahahaha! I’m 33 weeks, can you believe it!!!! I’ve started on my hospital bag bits, and it feels so surreal. It’s finally sinking in that I’ve got to birth this baby 😂 I bought a really amazing hypnobirthing book which has been great! Definitely recommend it’s by Siobhan Miller - I’m not usually a big reader but I love it!!
How many weeks are you now lovely? It’s flying isn’t it!

Everest was my favourite too! But DH said about how dirty it would get 😟 so we went for Woven Grey! But I went into mamas and papas yesterday and they don’t seem to have it anymore!? Both my friends funnily enough have Ocarro, one has phantom one has onyx!! You can’t beat a black pushchair, but I quite liked phantom 😍

Oh that’s gorgeous!! I had that on our list! DH has vetoed Jasper :( he said it’s a dogs name lol! Well he didn’t, until he realised someone we knew just named their dog that!! So we’re back at square one ladies… h e l p 😂 Jesse seems most likely at the moment, it’s one DH has loved from the beginning I’m just not 100%! Xxx

@Izzie94x oh my gosh 33 weeks ? You’re so close!! I’m jealous… I just want to meet my boy now but I’m only just coming up to 22 weeks 🥺 I have bought the positive birth book on recommendation from a friend but haven’t started it yet. We are moving into our new house next week that we’ve been renovating for 2 years (lol(help😩)) so we are super busy packing and what not. I have also become a bit addicted to buying baby clothes on Vinted which has become my new favourite hobby 😆🤭

Ah that’s such a coincidence re your friends prams! I’m leaning more towards Phanton but hubby prefers Onyx 🤔

Jesse is a VERY cool boys name! 😎 my all time fave is Jude but my husband isn’t 100% on it and now all the celebrities seem to be using it so I can see it becoming common quite quickly 🙄Shame about Jasper - although I must admit, one of my best friends’ dog is called Jasper 😂😬 xx

@Koalie i KNOW! Isn’t that crazy 🥹 my friend gave birth 2 weeks ago at 37 weeks!!!! And it kicked my arse into gear with the whole hospital bag!! 😂 it’ll honestly start flying by. Are you going to have a 4D scan? I know not everyone loves them but I’m obsessed with the little pictures we got!! Oh my god, moving!!!!! Least you’re doing it before the third trimester cause after that you will have ZERO energy🤣🤣 Ah gooood luck!!! Where abouts are you guys in the country? I do love Jesse but I don’t know, I’m 80%, and I’m like how will I know when!? I still love Jagger as I saw an Australian couple use it on TikTok LOL, but again, I keep being told it’s more of a dogs name😂 hahahahhaha stop!!!!!! I can’t have Jasper anymore, cause now I’m picturing dogs😭😂 we also loved Jude!!! But put off by about 4 celebs using it in the space of 3 months!! Xx

How is everyone else doing? 🙂

I had my second scan yesterday and good to go, so did my trigger last night and egg collection is 9.30am tomorrow.
I feel nervous and flat about it all tbh. I don't know if the hormones are playing a role in that, or whether I'm just bracing myself mentally for it not to go how we want it to.

I didn't seem to have as many follicles this time, I had 5/6 good sized ones 15-20, and some smaller ones that are doubtful they will be any good.. then we have the dreadful waits looming 🙈

@User491 Hi lovely! Fab news you got the go ahead for retrieval. Less follicles doesn’t necessarily mean less blasts. You still have a good few follicles to work with there and remember it’s more about quality - it only takes one!! 🤭 Good luck tomorrow, I’ll be thinking of you. xx

Regarding the progesterone, they won't increase my dose as they think it will be fine with what I am on, and won't give me any longer unless I get a bleed and I will be given it straight away, which to me is absolutely stupid!
I'm gonna do the at home progesterone test, just not sure what day after transfer to do it (long as we have one to put back)

@User491 why don’t you create a mumsnet thread and see if anyone has any left over from their cycles that they could send you? Xx

@User491 I replied to you this morning but it doesn't seem to have posted lol, Follow up on 2 weeks unless there is a cancellation between now and then. I've been prescribed slow release metformin to take for 3 months then will start IVF around November time. I hope all goes really well for you tomorrow 🙏🏻 x

@JennyF84 that's brilliant news, it will fly by for you. The waiting is awful at times, but then out of nowhere it just appears and you struggle to believe it 😂

only 3 eggs retrieved and 2 mature, 1 fertilised. Got to pray this one makes it 😭
