[Infertilitylife]

Hello,

My partner and I need IVF due to MFI. We are hoping to start treatment in January 2023.

I had my fertility ultrasound scans today and these are my results:

AFC -

Left Ovary - 13 follicles
Right Ovary - 14 follicles

My Endo thickness was 7.3mm (cycle day 10).

I have no masses, cysts, fluid etc - everything looked smooth and normal.
How do these results seem?

I was also told I have a retroverted uterus - will this affect IVF?

@User491 so glad transfer went well! Last time we didn't have any to freeze but we did only have two eggs. Both went to embryo then the one failed but the one was really good quality. Hope your little one makes it to freeze and this one sticks!! Take it easy now!

@Lauralozzle thanks, AF is due Friday, all being well will start stims on Sunday. Only two injections to ease me in... then The other two added in 6 days later. Hopefully yours arrives the end of the week to! First scan is on the 23rd Jan.

The Alex Jones show, I did hear about it but was in two minds to watch it or not.

Not long to go for your stims now then hopefully! How long do you have the 4 injections for?

Totally understand; I know the programme won't be for everyone when going through it, I did get a bit emotional from it, one to watch in the future maybe 😊

Ah that's a shame, but considering this one was the polar opposite of the others hopefully this one was made to be a fighter!

I might give that programme a watch. I watch far too much crime drama, a change would probably be beneficial haha.

@User491 Sorry to hear your other one didn’t make it. Hopefully you have a good sticky embryo in there though!! When is your OTD?

My period has arrived! I’ve called the clinic and left a message, hopefully they get back to me as soon as possible.

Still no AF here. I was letting it come naturally but Mother Nature is starting to take the mick haha.
I have been feeling some achey pains last 24 hours though, so I'll give it the weekend.
I've got family coming down today so should help the weekend fly by!

@Lauralozzle i know I was gutted tbh, just means if this one doesn't work, got the whole hormone side to go through again,
My OTD is Thursday, so not that long to go now. Was saying to my husband last night though, I don't know how I feel about it.. you can't get excited as with never ever having a positive before, how are we going to feel if it's negative again 😢 I should be thinking more positive though 😬

@Sj2505 hope it comes soon for you! I did think mine wasn't going to show today. Been having craps for well over a week!

Work are planning a big night out the end of Jan and it's super awkward as everyone is like 'you have to come' but they don't know I'll be injecting. We are going to do ours at 7.30 every night, the same as last time. Told them I can't make it but they won't listen!

I wasn't sure if my treatment was going to go ahead as I'm at a great risk of OHSS and I put a pause on it all. However, it is now all steam ahead. My period is due Tuesday and I'll start my meds.

Having a nightmare though, my protocol was changed yesterday and I now need to get Clomid by Tuesday. But there is an issue with my prescription so i'm really stressed!

@Infertilitylife good news!! It is such a rollercoaster isn't it? What protocol are you doing? What day will you start meds?

@User491 glad you're doing ok. It's good to be tentatively positive I think. But whatever gets you through with the most sanity. How are you doing with symptom spotting?

I feel awful! Same awful Period pains! Dreading injecting later feeling like this!

Well my period has started earlier than it should so I’m waiting to see if I can start my meds tomorrow or if I’ll have to wait another month. They wanted me to have a scan before the period which was booked but obviously it came earlier.

I’m on 50mg clomid morning and night for day 2-5 then gonal 150 day 5-10 then they will see from there :)

@Autumbreeze I'm so pleased I'm finally on the road to starting haha!
I should start Norethisterone on 4th Feb now. Got to call the clinic tomorrow to update them.
Sorry to hear you're having a rough time. Try to focus on the positives, it's another step closer.

@Infertilitylife will you be able to speak to the clinic today, or will it have to be tomorrow?
Hopefully they'll let you start this cycle!

So glad to hear everyone is getting on well so far! I'm rubbish at keeping up with everything. Hopefully we will start seeing some positive transfers soon 🤞. Are you all hoping for fresh transfers, or is anyone else doing a frozen?

I'm feeling really panicked about the whole thing now though. I'm sitting here questioning everything - I think it's because I'm nervous though as I hate going to hospitals etc.

@90sarah the plan for me is to do a fresh transfer. I have history of really bad pelvic pain so they're giving me some steroid tablets from egg collection to calm everything down, but if that does not work the consultant advised freezing whilst my uterus has a break.

@Infertilitylife it's very daunting isn't it! But focus on the positives and why you're doing it.
I've been through it all once before, eight years ago now and had my son through NHS IVF and I can remember the "no going back now" feeling haha! It'll all be so worth it

I'm in so much pain with AF at the moment, but still have my dad and Stepmum with us at the moment so trying to be discreet, but in reality I just want to roll around the floor and complain!

Did the first injections last night. Think the first one is going to bruise but it didn't hurt that much at all! The second one stung though... but I knew it was coming as I had them ones last time.

It's let up a bit this morning, not so much pain. Just a very achey heavy feeling now - thankfully.
I'm excited to call the clinic this morning and let them know.. not that a lot will happen until CD21, I think it's just so they can plan my dates etc

@Sj2505 that's good! I think the meds have made mine worse as they said it would and this happened last time to! I know it'll pass but it's been two hours of bad pain so far.

Exciting to call the clinic. I have to call to. Day 21 will be here before you know it!

@Sj2505 Yay! I love how we’re all excited for our periods to finally arrive, however horrid they may be!

Tried to call clinic on Friday, left voicemail and email but no one got back to me. Called this morning, finally got a scan sorted! Down regulation scan mark 2 on Wednesday. I’m running out of buserelin and needles too so I’m picking some more up when I go in.

No my treatment has been cancelled this month as they wanted the scan.

Ooh @Infertilitylife I'm sorry to hear that! How are you feeling? Will they definitely let you go next month. It know it's gutting but at least it's to come!

@Lauralozzle that's exciting for Wednesday! I got my first scan on Monday... it's at 8.50 so I'll prob leave at 6am so make sure I get there ok! No idea what the traffic will be like!

I talked to the hospital earlier and was like pleaseeeeeee can I take stronger pain meds?!! And they said no! I do feel a little better right now! But hope it don't start again later or tomorrow as I'm in work!

What is your protocol?

I spoke to the clinic today, as AF was 12 days late I assumed all of my dates (egg collection etc) would be moved but instead they've altered my down reg to keep me on track!
So now I have to start down reg on CD19 and only take them for 5 days instead of 7, hopefully AF will behave and arrive a couple of days after that. This should keep me on track for egg collection around 20th February.
Meds are being delivered tomorrow, which has come round really quickly!

Ah @Sj2505 it did ease up this afternoon and I had a sleep with the dogs but it's back again now! Just don't know what to do with myself. I'm on short protocol or the protagonists protocol as they call it. So egg collection is around the 27th Jan or the week after as the 27th is a Friday.

That's good that they are keeping you on track and letting you go early! Exciting!

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that!! Does anything help at all? Hot water bottle? Pacing/walking? I tend to get in a tight ball and rock!
I do feel for you, I know it's not pleasant at all!

My pain has eased massively now, thankfully. I just have a heavy ache in my abdomen and achy legs.

Yes, I'm very pleased, I was quite surprised though. When she said "oh that's late, I'll have to call you back once I've looked into your dates" I thought she was going to cancel this cycle!
