Hello,

My partner and I need IVF due to MFI. We are hoping to start treatment in January 2023.

I had my fertility ultrasound scans today and these are my results:

AFC -

Left Ovary - 13 follicles
Right Ovary - 14 follicles

My Endo thickness was 7.3mm (cycle day 10).

I have no masses, cysts, fluid etc - everything looked smooth and normal.
How do these results seem?

I was also told I have a retroverted uterus - will this affect IVF?

So, spotting is a tiny bit heavier. There was some red blood, although a tiny amount, this morning when I did this mornings pessary.

I tested with FMU this morning with a FRER. BFN. Today would work out at 14dpo. I’m pretty resigned to the negative. Hopefully AF will show up full force today and I can let the clinic know so we can have our review and get the ball rolling for our next cycle.

I’m hoping we’ll be eligible for a refund package, if my AMH hasn’t taken a massive nosedive.

I’ve just weighed myself this morning and I’ve put on 9lbs over this cycle. So, while we wait I need to get that off.

I can’t wait for this week to be over. I hope you are all okay this morning.

Ooh I'm so sorry @Lauralozzle how are you feeling now? Will you test any more? Did you call your clinic?

@Autumbreeze I’m fine. I’m not testing anymore until Friday. It’s not turned into AF yet. Spotting was like a rusty red/brown this morning, It’s just brown now, so AF hasn’t started properly yet.

I’m not going to kid myself that it’s implantation bleeding, but I’ll continue taking the pessaries for now. I’m wondering if the progesterone is just staving off the inevitable. Longest luteal phase I’ve ever had!

How are you feeling? Still have cramps?

Yes @Lauralozzle that's a good idea to wait until Friday now and keep going with the meds. I'm still hoping for a miracle for us both!

I've had a few cramps today on and off. Still waiting for Thursday or Fridays for AF to make an appearance though, like last time. Off work today so been really lazy!

So I have the go ahead to start stims! Going to do them at 8pm once DC is in bed. Got my next scan booked next Monday.
I have got a small cyst on my left ovary but because it's not even 1cm she's not concerned about it.
Lining was 3.6mm and plenty of immature follicles - she didn't count them because of the PCOS.

Amazing @Sj2505 sounds positive! How did the first one go? Bet you can't wait until next Monday.

@Autumbreeze still not done them haha! Waiting for OH to get out of the shower because he wants to do one of them 😆
I can't wait for the scan! But my patience has definitely grown now I'm finally at this point!

@Sj2505 yeah what's a week!! I'm wishing this week away in one way but in another I'm super nervous to test I don't want OTD to come. I'm living in my little bubble at the moment 😂

Hope they went ok for you anyway! Did he do them all for you? How many are you on?

@Lauralozzle @Autumbreeze We've done them! Can't believe how nervous I was, I stood with the injection near my tummy for ages haha. When I finally done it I then couldn't push the plunger hard enough so OH pushed it whilst I held it - so we both ended doing the first one 🥰 awwwww haha! He then did the one with the pen.
I'm just doing those two until Friday when I add another in the morning.
I'm really overthinking it, thinking I've probably done it wrong.

@Lauralozzle I'm lucky, I always have Mondays off.... My working days are long though so I'm full time still Tuesday to Friday.

DH is still doing mine everyday! I can't deal with them 😂 I do two about mid day.

I think we always other think we are doing it wrong! Even with the ones we are doing now I feel we are doing wrong! They don't give us a lot of teaching as well do they? Like here's your injections... go stab yourself 😂

Also I'm not sure if I'll test Wednesday. I think I'll decided on the morning! I may do as I'm driving myself a little crazy! But then again I'm in my little safe bubble at the moment! I think I'm the only one who just doesn't want to test 😂

@Autumbreeze I didn't get any teaching, which I was surprised about.. I thought she was going to do that today. Their video for Meriofert isn't working either, and I managed to cut myself on the vial 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
Hopefully it'll go a bit smoother tomorrow!

@Sj2505 I was on the meriofert the first time... is it powders mixed with water?... then this time I was on benfola but they almost messed up and gave me meriofert again... I was in the que for the pharmacy and she came running down and said I need you back in clinic 🤦🏼‍♀️ they told me I wasn't doing that one this time! Nightmare! Yeah they definitely need to give more direction I think. Then I got the lubion after transfer, which I requested. They give me the script for the meds.. no shapes or syringes or guidance on how to do them so I had to go on YouTube and look and then driving all the way back for the shapes. But to be fair I'm still happy with them 😂

I have Lubion for after transfer too. As well as cyclogest, prednisolone and something like else which I can't remember the name of 😳

@Sj2505 I have cyclogest to. No preds though. Although I have APS so I am doing clexane injections to. The lubion is fine going in but the injection site is really uncomfortable a little while later I find. They wasn't going to give me lubion... I pushed for it because my friend told me to.

@Autumbreeze sooo many injections 😅
It was quite sore to lay on last night already, so I hate think what I'm going to feel like this time next week!

How is everyone doing today?

@Sj2505 Hopefully you feel less sore soon. Towards the end of stims I was quite sore and they bled every time. So I’ve got little pinprick stab marks over my belly that scabbed up lol

More than spotting today, but not real period. It’s rusty red and then brown. More than a panty liner can cope with but not much on the pad. I think the progesterone is stopping it being a proper flow.

@Lauralozzle I had a tiny drop of blood last night. But I think that was more to do with my plunger issues and OH having to help haha.

I would say could you not ask your clinic if you could come off the progesterone, but they'd probably only advise you to wait out for OTD 🙁 this can be a cruel process!

@Sj2505 The paperwork states that bleeding doesn’t mean a negative and no bleeding doesn’t mean a positive. I’m guessing that because it’s not a full flow, it’s either rusty red or brown, not bright red, and there are no clots or anything to indicate a full flow they’ll say continue with meds until test day. If I start properly then I’ll ring them, but for now I’ll make do. I don’t have horrible cramps. I had worse cramps before the spotting started.

A bit of tissue will sort out the tiny drops of blood. Towards the end I had loads!

@Lauralozzle that's what I thought 🙁 hopefully AF will come properly soon.. or even better stop completely 😉

@Sj2505 hi, how's the injections going? Hope you're doing ok.

No I didn't test today! Think I'm going to hold out now but I honestly have the worse period pains ever and it feels a lot like it did last time, so I'm not holding out a lot of hope.

Already googling private clinics just to see prices. I think it'll be between CRGW and the one we are already using now which is NHS but you can pay private with them.

I know I'm not out yet but I honestly think period will be coming tomorrow or Friday! Felt awful yesterday.
