[Infertilitylife]

Hello,

My partner and I need IVF due to MFI. We are hoping to start treatment in January 2023.

I had my fertility ultrasound scans today and these are my results:

AFC -

Left Ovary - 13 follicles
Right Ovary - 14 follicles

My Endo thickness was 7.3mm (cycle day 10).

I have no masses, cysts, fluid etc - everything looked smooth and normal.
How do these results seem?

I was also told I have a retroverted uterus - will this affect IVF?

My test day is next Saturday so the 18th. I may do the 17th though... if by some miracle it is positive I only have enough lubion until the 18th so I'll prob call the clinic to pick up more and do that awful drive again. They'll be closed until Monday otherwise. But I'm not holding out a lot of hope.

Yeah.... definitely nice to have things to focus on and helps. Exciting times coming for you now! Hope your family feel better soon as well!

@Autumbreeze This just screws up your mind doesn’t it. I’m on tenterhooks at the moment, this weekend is going to be filled with so much anxiety. I hope AF stays away from you too! It’s the period cramps and total loss of everything else that makes this so nerve wracking!

It’s not looking good for me, I’ve noticed a small amount of light brown spotting. Just on underwear, didn’t see it when I wiped or on the pessaries applicator. It’s right on time though.

@Sj2505 I hope you feel better soon. I have horrible period cramps too. Rest up.

@Autumbreeze ah ok, not too much longer then! Sorry you're not feeling very helpful. I guess it's hard to stay positive when you don't know what's going.

@Lauralozzle sorry you've had a little spotting, I'm ever the optimist and still hope it might be implantation for you. When would you usually get AF after spotting?

@Sj2505 I think it's just after the last time. I'm going to try and be a bit more positive 😁

@Lauralozzle as SJ said I hope it's some implantation bleeding. Have my fingers crossed for you! It definitely does screw up your head.

@Sj2505 I usually get spotting day before AF. Never mind though, it is what it is. I haven’t seen anything else it might be the pessaries irritating the cervix!

I hope I don’t see AF’s ugly face tomorrow as it’ll ruin our meal out, cause I expect it’ll be cramp galore! I’m looking forward to it.

My pain is easing slightly now. Still painful but definitely got the edge off.

@Lauralozzle how are you feeling this morning? Just went on my app and today is 1st day of my period, not tomorrow. Got serious period cramps and I know it's coming. Going to the next village to get our tests today. Going to try and hold off but I may cave and test early! 😬

@Autumbreeze I’m sorry you have serious period cramps! It’s so rubbish. Try and hold out as long as you can.

There was a small bit of pink when I did this mornings pessaries. It’s coming. I caved yesterday afternoon and did a test. BFN. I know this cycle hasn’t worked, but im strangely ok with it. This final week feels like it’s going to be waste of time, if bleeding starts properly and gets heavy I’ll call the clinic tomorrow because it seems pointless using pessaries for a known bfn, in the midst of a full blown period with clots.

I just want this week over and done with so we can get our follow up appointment.

I'm sorry @Lauralozzle will the clinic make you wait to test on Friday I wonder? My clinic are quite strict with it, but I understand what you mean! Plus if you get the ok from the clinic you can take ibuprofen again if your not feeling good. But your period is still not here yet... a little bleeding can be normal and maybe you tested a little early?

Mine came on day 5 last time... so I'm expected it on or before Thursday... I just won't relax until next weekend. But the pains are very familiar... as are a lot of other things but I'm 90% sure it'll be here by the end of the week if not before.

@Lauralozzle I'm so sorry AF might be rearing her ugly head. I'm glad your feeling ok with it!
I hope it does all turn around for you and it end up being magical news, but if you are right I hope they let you move on quickly.

@Autumbreeze I hope your cramps are just signs of little one nestling in. You're 8dpt today aren't you? Do you think you'd cave and test today?

@Lauralozzle @Autumbreeze hey sorry been so silent just been hiding at home away from everyone working from home googling every symptom cause dont know how I should be feeling i tested yesterday on a 6 days early first response 6dpt and got 2 lines although faint its there .today 7dpt i tested with a clear blue 6 days early cause i heard bad things about the first response and wanted to be sure and again i have 2 lines .its strange i feel kinds happy but also doubting the results 🤦‍♀️ the things ivf does to you .happy to post test pics for opinion . Im due af anytime from tuesday so even though these are showing positive im still worried

omg this puzzle been a lifesaver during ivf my brother got it me for xmas 132,000 pieces so ill be here for a while but its a nice stress free relaxing thing to do

fingers cross my lines get darker im in the office tomorrow so no testing which is a good thing cause it will be a distraction gonna try wait for as many days as i can before doing another one now

@Sj2505 no test today but I may cave and test on Wednesday. My logic is if it's negative I'm off work so I'll take the dogs for a long walk... at the moment I'm not walking them alone as little one pulls and big one needs help in and out of the car... so I have to lift her. But if its negative we will do a long walk... I usually do my 10,000 steps a day. Got some making up to do!.....

@Autumbreeze thank you im still in utter shock to be honest first time ivf 40 years old and only one embyro we could use this round a 5ba .talk about luck or maybe it was meant to be .gonna tell myself now no more tests until official test say friday 17th or i could have the blood version from the clinic on Wednesday are you doing that or just confirming via home test ? On the fence what to do

@Autumbreeze that makes sense, if it is bad news I wouldn't want to then go and face colleagues who are oblivious. But stay positive, you might get a pleasant surprise ✨

Yes, my appointment is tomorrow at 10:50. I can't wait! I'm a bit anxious about not responding to the shorter course of down reg, but I'm trying to side step that bit.

I have a 1,000 waiting for my 2WW. Although I did one a couple of weeks ago and it only took me two days, so I may need a couple more.
I have an IVF colouring book too haha

@zarascan47 I'm 39, 40 this year so I get it. They don't bloods... Just been told to test on the 18th. Then call them Monday with the result. Definitely meant to be I think, Super happy for you.

@Sj2505 good luck for tomorrow. At least at the scan if you need to change anything you can. Hopefully it'll all be good though.

The end of the week I will test with DH but if I do one Wednesday it'll be on the sly... he'll tell me off for testing early. I just got two tests today but I have two spare from the last time. So I'll use one of them 😂

@Autumbreeze mine are on the sly to thats why im going to stop not cause want to do the biggy friday with dh .hopefully i can stop myself 🤦‍♀️mine would do a blood i would have to pay just on the fence about if i do it or not i suppose in long run they might want me to anyway ill cross that bridge when we get to it

Meal with family was lovely. Spotting is still there same as this morning. Very slightly pink. I’m glad AF held out for the meal 😂

Although I expect AF to be full force come morning, I did expect that later on today (there’s still time) but if the spotting hasn’t progressed I’ll do another test in the morning. I’m hoping it does not progress and yesterday was just early. I still have about 5% hope left, which is more than this morning!

@Autumbreeze and @Lauralozzle I'm still sending you lots of positive vibes and staying optimistic for you both. As I well know it's agony waiting but there is a reason they give us an OTD. Some people and pregnancies take longer to show the HCG levels 🤞🌻
