Hello,

My partner and I need IVF due to MFI. We are hoping to start treatment in January 2023.

I had my fertility ultrasound scans today and these are my results:

AFC -

Left Ovary - 13 follicles
Right Ovary - 14 follicles

My Endo thickness was 7.3mm (cycle day 10).

I have no masses, cysts, fluid etc - everything looked smooth and normal.
How do these results seem?

I was also told I have a retroverted uterus - will this affect IVF?

@Lauralozzle thank you.. they've actually come back tonight, it's gone from 330 to 704, that's in 7 days though.

The nurse tonight said it's too low so bad news basically. They've changed my date to Wednesday now for a scan, and if I get any bad pain or bleeding I've to go straight to hospital. I said to them, are you thinking it's ectopic?? And they said they can't say for definite 🤦🏻‍♀️
But I was told last week it was in the right place, and I'm completely bamboozled as to how it would look like it's in the right place, but actually now could be in the tube 🤯
Back to dr Google 🙈🤣

AF is starting to appear slowly. Started bleeding slightly last night then stopped, and this morning it's there on wiping. So hopefully it's looking like later today or tomorrow.

@Vil I’m sorry it was bfn. Good luck with your next steps when you are ready, and take care of yourself. I totally get taking a mumsnet break.

Yesterday I had cramps pretty much all evening. Exactly like period cramps. This morning the sore boobs have gone, pretty much completely and the cramps are still here.

My period is due this weekend. My boobs always stop hurting, deflate a bit just before my period starts. All these things are happening. Only thing I haven’t had, or haven’t spotted, is some clear stretchy cm which I always get just before my period. Every other sign is there. I’m just waiting to spot it today.

Tests arrived today, I don’t think I’ll use them this morning. I’m 95% certain AF is arriving either Saturday or Sunday.

@Sj2505 I'm ok. No craps today, feel fine... nothing different... except I'm constipated again! 😂 thought I'd just share that. Hope you're ok.... good than AF seems close.

@Lauralozzle as above... I feel fine today! Think I need to get coconut water though 😂 when are you going to test?

@Sj2505 I'm OK thank you. Officially 5 weeks today and still obsessively POAS every morning watching the line get darker. Only the cheapie easy at home tests but I will do another digital this weekend and hope to see 3+ 🤞 I've still got cramps and sore boobs but it's coming and going a lot more now. I'm glad AF is finally making an appearance. Fingers crossed it's the last for a long while 🤞

@Lauralozzle I'm still hopeful for you because this is exactly how I felt.

Morning everyone,

I've spoken to the clinic, the one they seen is in the right place, but because there wasn't the growth they would expect and the HCG levels aren't high enough they say it's not viable; but due to the HCG still rising they can't rule out the fact I may have another in my tube. They couldn't see anything there and it is very very very unlikely, but just don't want to rule it out and for me to miss any ectopic symptoms. So I understand it all more now.

I just hope that I lose this naturally without any intervention tbh, but we will discuss the options properly on Wednesday.

So so shit!! But hey ho.
Just want this nightmare to be over and to get back to it again. Hoping we can talk about some possible dates to start again when we go back next week.

@Lauralozzle don't stress too much, I was exactly the same! I have everything crossed for you for a positive test! I was convinced mine was going to be negative.

I'm so sorry @User491 like I said my friend went though this just before Christmas. Same, her bloods were slowly rising but not as they wanted them to and she was bleeding but in a lot of pain. Hers was ectopic. But the tablets worked and she didn't end an operation. She was heart broken and put off her next go for a few months... I think she is having counselling to as it hit her really hard.

I really feel for you.... I understand how heartbreaking it it! But as you said discussing the next round and preparing for that will hopefully be a little distraction for you. Sending lots of hugs!!!

I'm ok. Cramps are back but only little ones. Feel ok today otherwise. I'm looking forward to my 2pm finish. Going to my mams for tea tonight.

Yup, hoping for a period is a new one on me.. I even extended my dog walk this morning in the hope the walking would bring it on properly!

@MsSandyToes I’d be testing everyday with a positive. Just to double check it’s still there!

My official test date is Friday 17th. I was going to test today, but I’m not going to now. Period cramps are here full force, it’ll be a miracle if I’ve not started tomorrow. Sore boobs have gone now, so I just have cramps left.

I think, if I’ve not started by Monday morning I’ll test then. That’ll be 9dp5dt, I’ve heard tests should be fairly reliable by that point.

AF arrived this morning! Baseline scan is booked for Monday morning.

It’s alright, I know my body well enough to know AF is literally on my doorstep lol. No spotting yet, but maybe the progesterone will hold that off and it’ll just start full flow like it used to when I was in my twenties! The embryo wasn’t great quality, I mean, on the picture you can barely make anything out. It doesn’t look like the ones you see when you Google day 5 embryos.

But that’s enough of a pity party. It is what it is.

@Sj2505 The house needs cleaning desperately, so today will be a pretty boring, cleaning day! Tomorrow we’re going out for a meal with my dad, step mum and nana which will be nice. Then back to work Monday.

Ooh @Sj2505 I hope you feel better soon.... I completely get your pain!! I hate it! And only paracetamol just don't touch it!! Take it easy! My last one I had three hot water bottles! Only thing that got me through I think.

@Lauralozzle I'm the same today... no sore boobs but a lot of period pain. I'm due on Monday. I'm trying to remember if it was like this last time but I really can't remember. I bleed the day before test day last time but only a little, had the negative test (or very very faint line) and then when I stopped the meds... that's when all hell broke loose! I've already told work I'm going to be off sick if it's the same as last time. I hope AF stays away for you!!

@Autumbreeze yes I have pretty much glued myself to my hot water bottle. Paracetamol never work for me either.
Oh well, I'll be ok in a day or so. And I have Monday to aim for.
