Hello,

My partner and I need IVF due to MFI. We are hoping to start treatment in January 2023.

I had my fertility ultrasound scans today and these are my results:

AFC -

Left Ovary - 13 follicles
Right Ovary - 14 follicles

My Endo thickness was 7.3mm (cycle day 10).

I have no masses, cysts, fluid etc - everything looked smooth and normal.
How do these results seem?

I was also told I have a retroverted uterus - will this affect IVF?

@Autumbreeze Sorry you feel crampy. Going away sounds like a nice distraction anyway, especially as it’s a place that’s got a special meaning for you.

I woke up crampy, boobs are not as sore today. Hardly any cramps since this morning though.

I’m a twat and did a test on a FRER I found that’s about 3 years out of date. Negative, of course. 🤦‍♀️ why do I do this to myself!

@Lauralozzle oh that's reassuring, I'm pleased it's not unheard of haha.

@Autumbreeze ah I definitely think you should still go. Will be nice for you both, like you said the nice distraction and quality time you'll need either way ♥️

I've been getting AF cramps over the last couple of hours, quite sharp at one point too.

@Lauralozzle @Sj2505 they feel like proper period cramps! I'm sat in the office and I'm sure people must think I'm lazy but I don't really care!

Yes I think we will book it and then we will be testing at our wedding venue... if it's negative then I'll just go and enjoy the best breakfast ever!

@Lauralozzle i tested yesterday 🤦‍♀️ was going to test out my trigger shot so even though a faint second line there i know its the trigger most likely cant help myself and had cramping yesterday but nothing today but every morning before i have breakfast i feel nauseous trying not to symptom spot so hard especially when im on cyclogest

@Autumbreeze I feel like I’ve been really lazy with work! I just can’t concentrate for longer than 10 minutes!

Cramps are back, pretty mild though. This sucks. This is the most pms-y I’ve ever been. I was close to shouting at my husband yesterday! He was grumpy because he’s very stressed at work and was having a right mardy cooking dinner yesterday. I very nearly snapped, I’m so tense 😬

I’d kill for a bottle of wine right now lol!

@zarascan47 how many cyclogest are you on a day? I know it's so hard to be strong.

I've not bought any tests yet. Will get mine on the weekend I think. Was going to order from Amazon like you @Lauralozzle but the last parcel came not packaged with a sticker on it and I send all my parcels to my nans incase they turn up when DH is home working.... can't risk it 😂 so I'll pop to boots the next town over as everyone knows everyone around these parts.

I'm home now... younger dog has been with the dog walker today and older dog is chilled so hopefully a peaceful afternoon now!

@Lauralozzle I know what you mean! My DP is driving me crazy at the moment to! He keeps trying it on to... last thing I want thank you!! He's full of beans and I just want him to shush! But he has done all the cooking this week so can't knock him to much.

@Autumbreeze hey 2 a day at the moment sometimes im like are some of the symptoms from them today no cramping at all but i feel sick first thing in morning buts its fine once ive eaten just so hard to tell with any of it . gonna avoid testing again until the weekend at least i mean mon/tues is when my period would be due so soon tell

@Autumbreeze Luckily I’ve mentioned how waxy the pessaries are! He’s not interested in finding out 😂 luckily, cause, with the cramps, just no.

@zarascan47 mine is due Monday also but I'm going to try and hold out for test day... or maybe the day before 😂 yeah I'm on two a day as well. I felt a little sick and dizzy again this morning. Ok now apart from the cramps.

@Lauralozzle unfortunately for me I'm putting mine up my butt... soooo I can't use that excuse... it's a good one mind you!! How you getting on with the coconut water?

@Autumbreeze It’s definitely a bit better , so it must be working a bit. Plus I like the taste so that helps get some fluids. There’s no way I’m drinking 3 litres of water a day like the clinic said. It’s just too much!

Ooh I know @Lauralozzle that much water is difficult. I'm struggling to. So coconut water is a double winner then!

@Autumbreeze I’ve also been crampy the last two days only and seen as I’m 13 dpt and it’s just stared I’m assuming it’s AF coming !

hope you’re holding up ok! I’ve read a lot that cramps are normal but it’s so tough when you just feel like you’re coming on.

im testing Friday and already planned a big night to drown sorrows !

I have my fingers crossed for all of you. I was (and still am) really crampy and it was a positive outcome. The only reason I tested at 7dp5dt was because I was convinced I was coming on from the period cramps.

It's so unfair that the symptoms are so similar! Mother nature really is mean at times!

@Vil that sounds like a good plan! But hopefully you'll be getting a positive 🤞🏻🤞🏻

DH don't want to book it now as he thinks I can't eat any of the mains! I was like that's fine I'll have starters and dessert. 😂

@Autumbreeze I'm sure if you tell them you're pregnant beforehand (and you are PUPO) they will have an alternative option. It wouldn't be very inclusive otherwise!

I'm OK thank you. Feeling quite tire in the afternoons and I'm starving all the time! I'm now having an early lunch of soup and a late lunch of a sandwich and I'm still hungry in the afternoons! It's insane! I'm not sure if that is the little poppy seed (week four is poppy seed size apparently) or the progesterone but oh my goodness! I also still have the cramps on and off. I now get worried when they stop though! Haha!

@MsSandyToes I bet it is hard to relax completely. Hopefully when you have your scan you will start to enjoy it a little more! When did you say it was? 23rd? 🤔

I'm like that with food at the moment to.... normally I'm not bothered about a dinner and tea and I'm starving!
Yeah maybe I should ask, they only have three options, beef, fish or veggie and I was going to go veggie but then someone said I maybe made with soft cheese so I'm not sure. But I could ask like you said. Chicken is my fave but not an option. I'm just so nervous and second guessing everything I do, eat, drink!

@Autumbreeze mine was on the 28th of Feb but I had to begrudgingly change it to the 1st of March because of work. I'm a freelancer and have lost so much work due to traveling so far for scans during stims and on the 28th it's a big day. I won't concentrate but 🤷‍♀️🤣 one day won't make much difference but it feels like an eternity!

I definitely think it's worth asking, loads of people have dietry requirements these days. 😊

@MsSandyToes yes a day later isn't to bad! But I know what you mean that you just want to know it's all ok. It's hard using time off work isn't it? I get three days paid IVF leave and only used one so far.

Well what another mind boggling/crappy day!

The sac has grown but only by 1mm/2mm but they can't see anything in it.
They have said I should be classed as 7 weeks today and they would expect to see more at this stage. I asked where I would be based on this particular size and they said 5 1/2 - 6 weeks.
They think it's very unlikely that it will be viable, and basically said I am so sorry , but can't say for definite. They've done bloods again which should be back by the morning thank god, and booked back in for another scan next Thursday,
If the levels are high there's a chance, if they are low then at least I have my answer and next Thursday will basically be to discuss options of if we will wait naturally for it to pass, or if we want intervention.

Honestly, I just thought there couldn't be anymore twists and turns 😢😢

Sorry I meant to say the embryo not the sac!

@User491 I’m so sorry 😢 This has been such a rollercoaster for you. Hopefully the levels are high for a chance. Do try and look after yourself.
