Hello,

My partner and I need IVF due to MFI. We are hoping to start treatment in January 2023.

I had my fertility ultrasound scans today and these are my results:

AFC -

Left Ovary - 13 follicles
Right Ovary - 14 follicles

My Endo thickness was 7.3mm (cycle day 10).

I have no masses, cysts, fluid etc - everything looked smooth and normal.
How do these results seem?

I was also told I have a retroverted uterus - will this affect IVF?
Thank you

@Lauralozzle will they include an update on the embryo's or are they completely leaving them?

Sorry you're both uncomfortable.. the things we have to go through as women 🥺 hope you start feeling more normal soon.

Lauralozzle · 01/02/2023 18:11

@Sj2505 I don’t think there will be an update. Although part of me hopes there will be. Roll on tomorrow!

MsSandyToes · 01/02/2023 21:10

I couldn't wait any longer I caved today, 7dp5dt and I finally got my BFP! My BBT has been dropping daily and I woke up with worse cramps so I thought I was out. My OT was amazing and said all the right things but I still just had to test! Then I saw those two magical lines! I rang the clinic because I was worried about about the BBT and if it meant I was low on progesterone and they said not to worry, it can be all over the place in early pregnancy but to call back if I get any spotting or bad pains. So, for now I'm cautiously happy!

@Sj2505 I opted for the back way too and there's been zero mess I also think it's reassuring that none is 'being wasted'. Plus I don't have time to be lying down for 20 mins in the morning! So happy you're starting tomorrow!

@Autumbreeze all the very best for your call tomorrow. I hope it's good news for you.

@Lauralozzle I hope you get some kind of news about your transfer tomorrow. I didn't realise that some clinics don't check on day 3, that must be so hard.

@User491 Will be thinking of you tomorrow. I hope the scan goes well.

@MsSandyToes wow!!!! There's no denying those 🤩 I'm sooooo so happy for you.
Early congratulations.
How are you feeling symptom wise? I assume emotionally wise you're ecstatic ☺️✨

Lauralozzle · 01/02/2023 22:12

@MsSandyToes Congratulations 🎉 That’s wonderful news!

MsSandyToes · 01/02/2023 22:13

@Sj2505 thank you ☺️ I'm still really crampy on and off (feels like period cramps) but the nurse today said that's normal and not to worry but other than that and sore boobs nothing now really (the CM has stopped). It really doesn't feel real yet. I'm going to keep everything crossed for OTD that the line gets stronger.

MsSandyToes · 01/02/2023 22:14

Thank you @Lauralozzle ☺️

Sj2505 · 02/02/2023 07:30

@MsSandyToes it all sounds very positive. Will your clinic book you in for a scan or have you got to wait for OTD?

Autumbreeze · 02/02/2023 07:32

Congratulations @MsSandyToes that's amazing news! ☺️ how often are you doing the pessaries? Yeah back end works better for me to.

@User491good luck for today! Be thinking about you.

Sj2505 · 02/02/2023 09:07

@User491 best of luck today! I have everything crossed for you ✨🤞🏼

Autumbreeze · 02/02/2023 09:36

@Sj2505 todays the day 🎉 how you feeling about starting?

Had an update... three embryos are
doing really well, the 4th is a little slow but they are still going to see if it'll catch up. Booked in Saturday morning for transfer. They are still considering a double transfer possibly... depending on what makes it that far. I'm still hoping we have at least one to freeze though.

Lauralozzle · 02/02/2023 09:51

@Autumbreeze That’s a great update.

Not had any message in my portal yet about transfer for Saturday.

Still trying not to think about it. Easier said than done.

Sj2505 · 02/02/2023 10:34

@Autumbreeze that's great news!! They're doing so well 💪🏼✨
I'm so excited, feels so good that I've finally started treatment.

@Lauralozzle hope you get your confirmation soon.

Lauralozzle · 02/02/2023 10:53

Transfer provisionally booked for Saturday 10:20. I’ll find out how they’ve done at 9:10 on Saturday morning. Hopefully, we have something to transfer!

Sj2505 · 02/02/2023 10:57

@Lauralozzle I'll keep everything crossed for you. Must be hard without any inclination from them, but hopefully the do not disturb policy has its benefits 🤞🏼 at least work will make the next couple of days go quick for you.

Lauralozzle · 02/02/2023 12:21

@Sj2505 Yes, work is sort of a distraction lol. Not that I’m being productive at all, just plodding along. First injection today for you! Yay!

@User491 Hope today has given you some answers. Thinking of you. X

Sj2505 · 02/02/2023 12:43

@Lauralozzle mine's just tablets - Norethisterone.. is that normal? I take these for 5 days (was supposed to be 10) then when AF comes a couple of days later I go for a baseline scan and then start injections...

You wouldn't think I've successfully gone through all of this before would you 😅 my memory is terrible.. my GP was actually going to look into it at one point.

Autumbreeze · 02/02/2023 12:50

Amazing @Lauralozzle I have my fingers crossed for you. Ours is at 10.15 so around the same time again! It's all very nerve racking isn't it? Just have to get through today and tomorrow.

@Sj2505 we didn't take the tablets but I think a lot of people do. Excited for you.

Lauralozzle · 02/02/2023 13:03

@Sj2505 Lots of people take tablets too. Not everyone’s down reg experience is 6 weeks injecting buserelin! 😂

@Autumbreeze its very nerve wracking! Yes, similar times again! Just got to get through today, tomorrow and Saturday morning.

How are you feeling? I’m less bloated now, still have cramping but I think that might be the progesterone because I’m pretty aware of my boobs today!

User491 · 02/02/2023 13:29

Hey everyone,

@MsSandyToes amazing news, so so happy for you 🥳

@Lauralozzle @Autumbreeze wonderful news for you both too! Will keep my fingers crossed for all to go to plan for Saturday 🤞🏻

@Sj2505 yessss for medication starting day 👏🏻

I got yesterdays bloods back this morning, my level had only rose from 278 to 343... so thought that it was all over, and went in expecting ectopic tbh!
However... everything's looking fine! It's still very early and it's teeny tiny but in the correct place 🥰 they couldn't tell me any more than that for today, but I'm booked back in next Thursday for another scan, and the dr is hopeful that if all goes to plan they will be able to detect a heartbeat 🥰 🙏🙏

Autumbreeze · 02/02/2023 13:44

@User491 that's the best news, congratulations! I bet you are so relived!!! So back next week... will they do any more bloods before you scan? I'm so happy for you!

@Lauralozzle I'm also still a bit tender, feels like period craps! But yes my boobs are also a bit tender to. Yeah... I'm really nervous for Saturday now.... I know how things can change. But like you said we just need to think positive... or as much as we can.

I told one of my friends in work today and she's amazed at how's it done 😂 it is pretty amazing though isn't it?

Lauralozzle · 02/02/2023 13:47

@User491 That’s excellent news 🤞

Sj2505 · 02/02/2023 14:17

@User491 that's amazing news! How are you feeling? Everything is crossed for that little heartbeat next week 🥰

@Lauralozzle I don't know that I could handle 6 weeks of it, even just with tablets. Although I am concerned that my cycle is usually longer than normal 38+ days but they've halved my down reg to just CD19-CD23 then expecting AF to appear! I wouldn't be surprised if my baseline scan isn't great to be honest 😩

@Autumbreeze it is incredible really. My OH has never known someone to experience it so he just blown away by each step!

MsSandyToes · 02/02/2023 19:36

@User491 I'm asolutely delighted to read your news! What a relief! Yay! I hope you feel much lighter now and can start to relax a bit more.

@Autumbreeze So pleased that you've had good news today! I'll keep my fingers crossed for them to keep going strong. I've got 2 lots of Cyclogest 400 a day. What about you?

@Sj2505 they didn't mention anything about a scan yet so I guess I have to call again after OTD. I also had tablets for down regs.

@Lauralozzle my fingers are crossed for you too. It's so hard waiting for news.

The reason I didn't want to test early is because I knew that once I started that would be it. I tested again this morning and don't see any progression so I've spent all day inspecting them wondering if they are actually the same of slightly fainter and worrying. Why do we do this to ourselves? 😅🙃

User491 · 02/02/2023 20:21

Thank you all, I honestly I feel like a weight has been lifted, them HCG's were stressing me out in the end too 😅
I seriously said to my husband this morning 100% it's ectopic and we spoke all the way to the clinic about what we would say if they said about that injection etc 😱
It's definitely good news, but my levels are still low, however the consultant said this can be completely normal, and I have as much a chance as anyone else now, so just got to hope for more positive news 🥰
It was just a little blob tbh... but it's our little blob 🥲🤣
And no more HCG's unless I have any bleeding etc, so I'm happy about that 😊

@Sj2505 really hoping this all goes smoothly for you 😘

@MsSandyToes honestly so pleased for you! Everything's waiting and stressing and googling isn't it 😅😅 no stage gets any better 🙈
