IVF cycle November 2022

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

Hi Ladies, so it was a bfn for me tonight 😞 I am so sad as that was last chance with my eggs, I can’t keep going through it so we are going to start on the DE journey now and hopefully will have our happy ending.

this group has been amazing and I would love to stay in touch 💕

Cat89 · 07/12/2022 19:35

@Hopewishprayer aww hun, sending hugs. This is so incredibly tough. I totally understand there's only so much to take and there's a natural limit, life is too important for us to be spending it in misery and there are always other options to achieve our goal.
What's DE by the way? Sorry, I'm behind on all these acronyms! Xx

Sadly I've started spotting today. Not looking good for Friday 😭😭. I was hoping the cramping last 2 days may have been a different reason, but seems it probably is period cramps.

countrypunk · 07/12/2022 22:29

@Hopewishprayer I'm so sorry to read your update. There's a few of us now in the same shitty boat. I have a friend who had a baby using a donor egg after years of infertility, and she couldn't adore her child more. It's certainly been an extremely happy ending for her ♥️

@HJen22 I think I'll try the high protein thing for a while and see how I get on. I have a very sweet tooth, so definitely need to get a handle on that. I tried acupuncture too! For 6 months. Zilch.

An avocado a day! Don't think I could do that. Although I did eat one today 😆

@Cat89 Thinking of you. This bit is just shit. I kept telling myself to hope for the best and prepare for the worst, although I'm not sure I managed it. We'll be here on Friday to support you whatever the outcome.

Sleep tight all. Xx

Cat89 · 08/12/2022 20:22

@Hopewishprayer
ED = Egg Donor, got it! 😁. That sounds like a really positive step forward once you've recovered from this cycle and have had a fab Xmas. The stats look very encouraging for ED IVF, would love to continue following your journey to see your happy ending 😘.

My test day tomorrow eek! Not sure what happened the other day, had very very slight pink upon wiping but only lasted that day and hasn't returned. The cramping is rife though!! Will know in 12hrs 🤞x

ohsohopeful · 09/12/2022 04:23

@Cat89 thinking of you for today, really hope you get a good outcome 🥰

I've been bleeding on and off all week, it's now definitely full blown period territory. Mine are usually quite light so it's taken me by surprise a bit. Anyone know if it's usual for it to be very heavy if implantation fails? Wondering if it's from having a much thicker lining from all the progesterone? It's pretty grim!

Foreverhoping33 · 09/12/2022 07:00

@Hopewishprayer im sorry it wasn’t a positive result. This whole journey is so difficult!! I hope you are being kind to yourself, I’m sending you lots of love! DE sounds like a good plan for next steps and I hope you get your happy ending so much!!!! Xxxxx

@Cat89 good luck for today! Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Pink spotting the other day sounds good!

My otd is Monday but I am still not feeling much. Have very slight cramps but normally it’s when it’s time for another progesterone pessary which makes me think it’s side effects of little progesterone and period coming. Also have sore boobs but only at night otherwise they are fine. Fluctuating between thinking it will be good news on Monday to devastated because I know it has failed. Eurgh it’s such a headf*ck!

Hopewishprayer · 09/12/2022 07:06

@Cat89 yes donor eggs, have done lots of research and convinced that’s the way to go for me if we want to have a family , I am almost 40 so time is not in my side 🙈
all the best for today, I hope you get a positive 💕
@Foreverhoping33 thank so for the support! stay strong and think positive, not long to wait now, everything crossed for you 💕

RainbowRoad44 · 09/12/2022 08:40

Hi everyone, I’m a bit late to this thread but was wondering if I could tag in? I’m currently in the middle of my tww after my first fresh transfer. Our OTD is Wednesday 14th. I had a miscarriage in early 2021 and have not been able to conceive again since then, MFI.
man finding the wait increasingly hard with each day and I’ve just read the last couple of pages of your thread and you seek like a lovely supportive lot and it will be good to talk to some people going through the same thing.
@Cat89 good luck today, and everyone else hope you’re doing ok and nice to meet you all!

LF82 · 09/12/2022 16:27

@RainbowRoad44 welcome! Sending you all the positivity in the world for next week x

Hopewishprayer · 09/12/2022 18:00

@RainbowRoad44 welcome! Sorry to hear about your loss, I hope this is your time, not long for you to wait now, try keep yourself busy over the weekend x

Cat89 · 09/12/2022 23:38

Hi everyone.
Firstly, a huge thanks for your msgs this morning ❤️. I share today's test results with some sensitivity, for us we are very fortunate to get a BFP 😊. I know we are very lucky given it's our first cycle, but I hope this brings some hope and encouragement to everyone in this group that it definitely IS possible. It's very early days and I've been here before, so I'm still very cautious.

Waiting for the Week 6 scan will be an anxious time for me as that's when my two previous pregnancies were found to be ectopic, and I've been in a living nightmare the last 15 months since then. I've found this group to be a great support, I'd still like to give updates for the next set of milestones if that's ok?

If helpful.. I wasn't confident about today and genuinely "believed" I wasn't pregnant as I don't feel much different. So you really never know!! I took the cramping/pink tissue the past few days so badly that I got myself in a right old state. Next time girls don't over analyze and jump to conclusions as now I regret getting myself so stressed knowing that I was pregnant all along and it wouldn't have done any good!

I hope those of you trying again in the new year are taking good care of yourselves and have things planned to help you lift your spirits. Sending good luck for those in their TWW, I'll keep following 😘. @RainbowRoad44 Welcome to the group!!

Crystal88 · 10/12/2022 02:31

@Cat89 that’s great news, I’m so pleased for you

you will have to keep us updated

just wondered did you have any strange diet, etc to make it work

your success gives us all hope xx

Foreverhoping33 · 10/12/2022 06:45

@Cat89 oh what fantastic news!! I’m so pleased for you! Yes do keep us updated with the next few milestones. Back in to another TWW eh, but hopefully a slightly easier one!

@RainbowRoad44 welcome to the group! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Will keep my fingers crossed for you for Wednesday next week!

im anxiously waiting till Monday to test but still have basically no symptoms at all and all small cramping I had earlier has now gone completely. Not sure how I feel about it….

RainbowRoad44 · 10/12/2022 08:30

Congrats @Cat89 ! It’s really nice to hear a positive outcome and definitely helps give some hope. Your message is so carefully written too and that’s appreciated. if/when I ever get pregnant again I know the first few weeks will be terrifying and that’s completely normal after losses. Here for you through that for sure.

@Foreverhoping33 it sounds like I’ve had similar symptoms to you. I started having cramps pretty soon after transfer and they got worse and then more or less stopped yesterday. One part of me just thinks it’s just the progesterone pessaries (esp as the cramps got a bit less when I stopped ramming them up so high, sorry if tmi 😂) but then the other half of me questions every twinge one if it’s a good or bad sign!! It’s so hard. Not long to go for you til Monday now though, hang on in there!

ohsohopeful · 10/12/2022 08:45

@Cat89 congratulations 🥰 so nice to have some positive news, really thrilled for you. We're absolutely here for ALL the updates! Look after yourself and hopefully the wait fit your 6 week scan won't be too tough xx

LF82 · 10/12/2022 08:46

@Cat89 i am delighted for you. Your news & word’s definitely give me hope. Please keep sharing any updates x

Hopewishprayer · 10/12/2022 09:26

@Cat89 what wonderful news! Great to see some good news 💕

Hello ladies
Huge congratulations @Cat89 !! Hope the pregnancy goes well and please do share your news, gives everyone hope:))
I'm starting this Tuesday one of three natural modified IVF, both excited and apprehensive and driving myself crazy with googling...
Good luck to everyone 🍀🤞🪷

Foreverhoping33 · 12/12/2022 09:42

Hello, I had my test this morning and it was positive! I’m so pleased as I have never had a positive before! Got my scan already booked in for 29th December!

Hoping this news isn’t triggering for anyone and instead helps to build hope for you all. I have had very few symptoms at all since transfer!

@Summerishere83 welcome to the group! I hope your IVF goes well! I completely understand the feeling of being excited and apprehensive!

xxx

RainbowRoad44 · 12/12/2022 10:25

@Foreverhoping33 yay congratulations!!! So pleased for you. I’ve been wondering this morning how you’ve got on. 29th is fairly soon for the scan too which is great. Hope it comes around quickly for you. So so lovely to hear another positive outcome.

I've had some very light bright pink spotting this morning. I called the clinic and they said to double up on the pessaries until test day. I’m stuck at work and going slightly mad, just want to go home and test, even though I promised myself I’d wait until test day on Wednesday. This is so hard! @Cat89 did your spotting last long before your bfp? Others who got their period before a bfn how quickly did it come on?? Sorry to bring a downer after foreverhopings lovely update.

Summerishere83 · 12/12/2022 10:26

Hi @Foreverhoping33
Thanks and congrats on the amazing news!! :) Did you do a home test or a blood test? Well done for not caving in and testing before otd!
You are absolutely right, news like help to stay positive and keep the hope alive.
Fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy, enjoy!! :)

Crystal88 · 12/12/2022 10:42

@RainbowRoad44 my period came on same day as test day, the clinic said some come on slightly before some a week later it all depends on your body

@Foreverhoping33 congrats did you do anything special during your treatment or diet etc .

update on me is I’ve had my period now. waiting for clinic to call to see what the next stages is and hopefully start again in 2023 Trying to look forward to Christmas and stay positive

all these positive results give me hope, 2023 is my year xx
