HJen22 · 09/11/2022 13:18

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

@ohsohopeful
i am trying so hard not to test, but it’s hard

this is my only chance has other didn’t make it but it was a grade one so I was hoping for miracle

only two days and I will find out, whether it’s worked or whether it’s start again in new year

do you have any back ups? Xx

ohsohopeful · 05/12/2022 18:35

@Crystal88
If it helps I didn't feel any better after testing! It ruined my day and I've found it really hard to keep the tears at bay at work. Wish I'd left it longer.

We do have 4 frozen embryos so it'll be a while before we have to go right back to the drawing board. We were lucky in that respect x

HJen22 · 05/12/2022 18:51

I'm so sorry you ladies are having such a tough time during the tww. Thinking of you all and really hoping for some good news over the coming days 💕 stay strong xxx

Crystal88 · 06/12/2022 12:28

@Hopewishprayer did you test early?

@ohsohopeful how are you feeling today?

@Cat89 hope you are feeling more positive today

hope everyone else is ok xx

ohsohopeful · 06/12/2022 12:48

@Crystal88 I'm ok today thanks, feel like I've kind of accepted that whatever will be will be now. The spotting turned to pink bleeding, but again only when wiping, and it's stopped today so I've no idea what's going on really! I'm on a distance learning course today so working from home which is a very welcome break from Christmas classroom chaos.

How are you doing today?

Hope everyone else is ok too x

Hopewishprayer · 06/12/2022 12:54

@Crystal88 no I have met yet although tests are being delivered from Amazon today- I can’t decide to do it tonight or tomorrow night - I’m definitely not doing it then going to work tomorrow morning - I hate this 😩

Crystal88 · 06/12/2022 13:32

@ohsohopeful more heavier bleeding and period like cramps today, meant to be working from home but all i want to do is curl up in duvet. i think i know my result tomorrow.

LF82 · 06/12/2022 15:35

@Crystal88 so sorry ….it’s heartbreaking… definitely take a duvet day to help. Thinking of you x

ohsohopeful · 06/12/2022 15:40

@Crystal88 I'm so sorry, it's all just so difficult isn't it. I've started bleeding again this afternoon so also not holding out much hope but keeping everything crossed for you tomorrow x

Cat89 · 06/12/2022 19:49

I'll be thinking of all you girls who are testing tomorrow. Sending you every bit of luck for a positive result 🤞❤️. You're all so brave, try not to make any conclusions before then as the same symptoms can appear in pregnancy and non-pregnancy, including bleeding.

@Hopewishprayer I always thought you have to test using the first morning pee because that's the most concentrated. I wouldn't recommend testing tonight love as you'll have had drinks during the day and may get a false negative x

Crystal88 · 07/12/2022 05:55

Hey all

just tested and has expected negative

and looks as through my period won’t be far behind. Just waiting for debrief call from clinic later and then try and look forward to Christmas

2023 start all over again, I’m staying positive it will be my year

thank you all for your support and advice and hope some of the other people testing today or this week get better outcome xx

ohsohopeful · 07/12/2022 07:06

Morning @Crystal88
Sorry that your test was negative. Sending a big virtual hug and know it's not much help but we all know exactly how it feels so you're very much not alone right now.

Glad you're staying positive, 2023 will be our year 💕

Hope you have something gentle planned for today x

Cat89 · 07/12/2022 07:26

@Crystal88 Sending hugs your way. I'm sorry it wasn't the desired outcome this time, but you've got a great attitude and 2023 is just round the corner and will be your year 😘. Stay strong and positive, it will happen xx

Crystal88 · 07/12/2022 07:55

@ohsohopeful @Cat89 Thanks both it means a lot

i have a nice weekend in bath planned which should hopefully take my mind off it and then start again hopefully Jan or Feb depending on what the clinic say.

i am lucky that i have enough saving to probably do another 2 rounds, and then will look into adoption has i don't think i can put my body and mind through anything more than that. I am only 34 so hopefully have a few more fertile years left, and maybe i may get pregnant naturally miracles happen, and if not i will have fun trying 😜xx

Hopewishprayer · 07/12/2022 08:08

@Crystal88 sorry it wasn’t a positive this time, but you do have the right attitude stay strong and positive 💕 glad you have a nice weekend planned.

i haven’t tested yet, I didn’t want to do it this morning and then have to get through a day working from home - especially being home alone with no distractions. I will wait till DH comes home later and gave up to it, my gut feel is that it hasn’t worked though.
@Cat89 strangely the one round I had a positive result in the pm my lines were darker than in am , I think as long as have a few hours hold then it’s ok

Foreverhoping33 · 07/12/2022 08:22

@Crystal88 I’m sorry it wasn’t positive. Sending you lots of hugs and love!

hopefully this means you can have a great boozy Xmas and then get your bfp in the new year! It sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned too which is great!

xxxx

countrypunk · 07/12/2022 09:59

@Crystal88 I'm sorry. It's absolutely rubbish after everything we go through to get there and the huge build up. You seem very positive about things which is great. I had a few days of weeping and generally feeling low but I feel much better this week, so if you are feeling low, I hope it won't be for too long.

Let's enjoy our Christmases, eating and drinking all the things we wouldn't be able to if we were pregnant 🙂 And then onwards and upwards into 2023.

Lots of love, I'm thinking of you ♥️

Also thinking of @Hopewishprayer and @ohsohopeful ♥️♥️

HJen22 · 07/12/2022 10:05

@Crystal88 I'm so sorry to hear it wasn't a positive this time 😞 sending all the love and virtual hugs ❤️ this process is so hard but somehow we manage to pick ourselves up and keep going, and we should all be so unbelievably proud of that and ourselves. I really hope that 2023 brings us all our wish 💫

Good luck to you ladies testing today @Hopewishprayer @ohsohopeful xxx

And I hope the tww for those still with a while off to test is going ok xxx

I think a few of us are now just waiting it out til the new year to go again? As much as the break is nice, I can't lie I'm dying for time to fast forward and do cycle 2!!

Sending all the love 💕

@HJen22 Me too, I just want to get back in the game!

Out of interest, is anyone being very strict with their diet? I've read some interesting stuff about a low carb / high protein diet and potential impact on IVF success rates. I'm not usually one for faddy eating (mostly because I'm very greedy) but I've decided to give it a go and started this week. Hating it so far!

HJen22 · 07/12/2022 11:24

@countrypunk it's hard isn't it. So much waiting!

So I tried the worst diet ever. My friends bought me a voucher for a nutritionist and I honestly wished they hadn't, a massage would have been ideal ha. They told me no sugar, no caffeine, no dairy, no gluten, no alcohol, organic meat, fruit and veg. It was hell. I was also on a shit tonne of super expensive supplements and they did tests that cost me hundreds of pounds but I did because they said I should. I ended up crying in a restaurant and giving up. It cost me hundreds of pounds buying supplements and organic stuff and it made me miserable. I did it for 2 months then stopped. The most recent round I just did was my most successful where on the lead up I had some drinks, I ate normally, and I took the bare minimum supplements of vitamin D and folic acid. Honestly it just made me so miserable and stressed. I totally understand the control helps some people, and if I hadn't tried I might have regretted it and thought "what if" but in the end I gave up way before cycle 1 anyway!

It's so easy to want to try everything and anything, I have been in that position. Everyone is different so do what feels right for you ❤️ but from my experience; it just made me feel worse after a while and life was so restricted. When it already had been for ages already! Xx

Crystal88 · 07/12/2022 14:33

Thank you all

my period has already started today, didn’t think it would come so soon, just want it out the way and I can move on

cant wait to have a nice bath and put my fluffy pj on and cuddle up to my bf xx

countrypunk · 07/12/2022 14:34

@HJen22 God, that sounds horrendous. No caffeine and no dairy = impossible. Yes, I think I'm clutching at straws... I have no control over this and I want to think there's at least something we can do to improve our chances when there probably isn't. It's just old eggs!

I don't get on very well with restriction... it just makes me want to do the bad thing 10 times more.

countrypunk · 07/12/2022 14:35

@Crystal88 PJs and cuddles sound good ♥️ Roll on 2023!

HJen22 · 07/12/2022 15:21

@Crystal88 pjs and cuddles sound lovely 🥰 be kind to yourself xxx

@countrypunk it was awful! I'd have never have gotten myself a nutritionist for the fact I knew I'd be allowed NOTHING and I was right 😂 however I do think a lot of people try low carb high protein - which is no where near as strict as what I did! That was from a very extreme perspective! I completely know what it's like to want to try things. Believe me, I've done it all. Reflexology, acupuncture, hypnosis, meditation, crazy diets, the lot. And it became massively exhausting.

I would speak to your clinic and see what they recommend. My new one the Dr we had the consultation with first said to eat an avocado a day! I didn't but at least it wasn't as wacky as all the other limitations! I think most recommend a balanced healthy diet, and that looking after yourself mentally is just as important. Xx
