IVF cycle November 2022

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

im enjoying my injection free day today before EC tomorrow then the fun really begins 🙈

Don’t say that @CNizzle its still too early to test. Please try and refrain from testing. You never know that line might get darker by OTD. I’m hoping you guys get good news.

@HJen22 so happy for you! You must be over the moon.

@CNizzle I did a test on Friday (9dpt) and was a complete BFN and I was gutted as I’d had so many sypmptoms so had got my hopes up. My official test date is tomorrow (looks like my clinic do it later than others) but not holding out much hope. 9 days is still early so you may see your line get darker in time for Wendnesday. It ain’t over till it’s over 🤞🏼. Good luck!

ER done they got 7 eggs, which I’m happy with

I didn’t feel anything and woke up refreshed aching bit now but OH looking after me

Anxious wait until tomorrow to see the quality xx

@CNizzle oh I'm so so sorry that you think it's a chemical. I really hope it isn't and things turn around, as @hopefulivfer says, it may get darker on OTD. Sending love x

@Manc80 thank you, after never getting to this point it is a very nice feeling to have some good news and reach a new milestone. Oh I'm sorry that your test on Friday wasn't good news 😢 but for sure as you say it isn't over yet! I really hope for a positive on your test day!!!!

@Crystal88 great news! Well done! Glad to hear you didn't feel a thing and I hope had a nice nap and a chilled rest of the day! Take it easy and don't push yourself. I find the day after to be a little sorer, just tender, or the following day so look after yourself and I hope for a positive update for you tomorrow 🤞🏻

Evening all. I had a 3bb embryo transferred this afternoon. I got to watch them do it on the ultrasound screen, which was amazing! Of course I cried all over the nurse. Now I wait... (I think they're gonna call tomorrow to let me know if the other potentials are up to being frozen).

To anyone who hasn't had a transfer yet, it's like a slighter longer and actually less uncomfortable smear test. The worst thing was trying not to pee all over the transfer nurse when the ultrasound nurse pressed on my belly.

@countrypunk oh the trying to get the just right bladder the first time is the worse! I've got it worked out now after 4 times 😂. Hope the little embaby is getting all snug in there.

@Reefy Tell me more! Apparently I hadn't drunk enough and it was a bit of a struggle to get the catheter in the right place...

yhe first transfer I had i over done it on the full bladder the nurse was like “oh my your bladder is extremely full” 😂

&@HJen22 I keep thinking I have forgot something today you just get used to all the injections don’t you. EC is 9 am tomorrow, feeling really nervous about the outcome as my follicles seem to be really big or quite small none really in between

@Crystal88 7 is a great number, hope. You get an early update tomorrow and that it is the best news

how is everyone today?

i have woke up with what i think is start of a cold, and dry throat. Apart from that i am ok, not in much Pain. Just waiting game now for the call to see how many good quality eggs we have xx

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly @Crystal88 The waiting game at this stage is hard. Hope you're chilling out as much as you can. Good luck for your update.

Feeling a bit flat today. Only one of our other embryos has made it to the freezer and it's not great quality. I'm not even sure that's the reason I'm feeling flat, think it's just after the total rollercoaster of emotions of the past 6 weeks my mind is saying 'no more'.

Hope everyone else is OK 🙂

@countrypunk trying to keep busy as i can work from home, but its not working i am willing the phone to ring :(

@countrypunk congrats at being officially PUPO! Sorry to hear you're feeling flat today, and that only one made it to the freezer. Even though perhaps not the best quality, it was good enough to be a frostie so take comfort in that if you can 💕 I hope you have a nice restful few days xx

just received call out of the 7 eggs, 6 were mature, but only 2 have fertilised

just keeping fingers crossed that they stay ok and i can get to have it put back in

feeling bit upset all i can think of is they must of been damaged when doing the ICSI process :(

Thanks ladies, I had 8 eggs retrieved, the most I’ve had so far so just the wait now to see how many were mature and fertilised. Back in bed now and nice day of rest for a change!
@countrypunk i have been advised before that only the top quality embryos make it to freeze so try to have some comfort in the knowledge that it has made it this far
@Crystal88 hope they call you soon with a good update

Well, 2 were recieved. The best I could hope for. It only takes one though right. Feeling very positive !!! Slim chances, but.... never say never !!! Positive and feeling great xx

@Crystal88 @countrypunk sending you both lots of love with your embryos! I can imagine it is sad to hear the numbers drop but stay positive and look after yourselves. It only takes one!! 💪💪💪

update from me I had my second scan yesterday. eggs continuing to grow one was nearing the 18mm mark. Still only 7 follicles of good size maybe another 2 they are hoping will catch up soon. Next scan tomorrow and hoping for egg collection at the end of the week. I will be ready for the injections to stop. I don’t find them painful at the time but my stomach is starting to feel a little bit like a pin cushion!

@Nikster8012 @Hopewishprayer Congrats on egg collections, another hurdle down! @Nikster8012 Quite right on feeling great and positive, I'm snapping out of my funk and taking a leaf out of your book. 'It only takes one' should be our mantra 🥚
And if this round doesn't work, I know what to expect for the next one 💪🏽
