Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

@Nikster8012 my Boobs are sore to I have my ER today too

wishing you best for today xx

HJen22 · 21/11/2022 08:30

@Nikster8012 my boobs were also sore! I'd never had that last two cycles but def did this time! Enjoy your injection free day!

@Reefy yes she is all good and enjoyed the jolly! I am so glad we had her as she kept me company when my OH was working. Yes I left a good review and they left us a great one back, I have said we hope to be back in 2023 for next cycle! Would be great as it was so close and we'd know where everything was from the get go!

@Crystal88 all the best for collection today ❤️

@countrypunk good luck with your transfer today ❤️

@hopefulivfer I hope your remaining embryos join the other in the freezer today ❄️ thinking of you and everything crossed!

How is everyone else? Sorry if I have missed any other important calls/appointments today xxx

We've got 2 blastocysts and 2 morula, which is apparently the stage before blastocyst. So transfer definitely going ahead today with the best blastocyst. I don't know what the chances are of the morula making it to blastocyst stage, but I'm hoping we'll have at least one for the freezer. I feel weirdly deflated, even though I know I've got lots to be thankful and hopeful for.

@Nikster8012 another one with sore boobs here! Thinking of you and @Crystal88 today for EC.

Hello to @Reefy Sorry, bit late with my welcome 🙂

Thinking of @HJen22 for your call today, and everyone else ♥️♥️♥️

Reefy · 21/11/2022 09:36

@countrypunk thank you. Will they keep the 2 morula ones going till tomorrow do you know? I totally get that as when you start with good numbers then just watch them all go it's so heartbreaking! Best of luck with transfer today! Sending Sticky vibes your way! X

Nikster8012 · 21/11/2022 09:39

Aww you guys are epic. Best of luck guys. Such a nice group. I was totally alone before I googled this. Ah well, a day in a nice hotel awaiting partner to drive up to manchester from west Wales this evening for him to play his part hah so today its chill ... just me and my sore boobies xx love to all xx

countrypunk · 21/11/2022 09:41

@Reefy Thank you ♥️ I'm so emotional, your post has made me cry! They will keep the morula going. It's always so hard to take everything in on those calls and know what to ask. I'll find out more this afternoon and will update.

What stage are you at now?

HJen22 · 21/11/2022 09:44

@countrypunk aw I'm so pleased to hear your transfer is all go today ❤️ hopefully the other two embryos will catch up over the next day and you'll have 3 in the freezer ❄️❄️❄️ all the very very best for transfer!

I am having major palpitations waiting for this call. It's just so so scary!

Reefy · 21/11/2022 09:50

@countrypunk it's the hormones they definitely make you cry!

I definitely find the waiting to hear about embryos worse then the 2WW! So we were due to start stims end of October for cycle 5 but at end of September we both got covid so the clinic advise postponing due to damage of the sperm so Norethisterone (down Reg) starts on 8th December with stims on 23rd December! I know everyone is a little ahead of me but thought would still jump on! We've never had any for the freezer so I pray this time we do! X

@HJen22 I wish they would just call at 8am to get it over with haha! Good luck! X

countrypunk · 21/11/2022 09:51

It is a lovely group, this thread is such a comfort.

@Nikster8012 Hope your sore boobies don't stay sore for long. Me and my massive norks have given up on bras, I find they make the soreness worse 😩

@HJen22 Positive vibes coming your way. The call wait is not nice ♥️

countrypunk · 21/11/2022 09:54

@Reefy Argh what a bummer that you got covid! I so hope it all goes well for you this time. Hopefully you've got some time off over Christmas to hibernate and eat loads of delicious food!

Reefy · 21/11/2022 09:57

@countrypunk we did 4 cycles without getting it so was bound to happen sometime! Was glad it wasn't during stims as the Meds are so expensive! Yes I've got 2.5 weeks off & can take longer if I want after transfer so that's what I plan to do 😂. Is this your first cycle? X

hopefulivfer · 21/11/2022 10:08

@countrypunk thats brilliant news. Good luck with transfer. Hopefully the morulas will catch up with your other blastocyst!

@HJen22 try and stay occupied. The embryology team could call quite late. I’m also awaiting an update on my 2 day 6s. The waiting is torture.

@Reefy i hope all goes well with this cycle and you get some to put in the freezer

@Crystal88 Good luck for egg retrieval today.

Good luck to everyone else. Don’t want to miss anyone out. Sending love and positive vibes to you all x

countrypunk · 21/11/2022 10:09

@Reefy Excellent. Yes, first cycle for me on the NHS. My clinic do three rounds for 9k (not including meds - no idea how much they are, but I know a lot!) before your 40th birthday, which we want to do - I think I'll just about squeeze them in.

It sounds like your work have been good, which makes such a difference to stress levels.

xx

countrypunk · 21/11/2022 10:11

@hopefulivfer Thank you, I hope your 2 early blastocysts have caught up today. Lots of ♥️

Reefy · 21/11/2022 10:14

@countrypunk that's a good deal as we paid £8950 with Access fertility for 2 fresh cycles & unlimited frozen transfers with no meds. Yes they are expensive & varies to what you are on! The down Reg meds here cost me just short of £10 & I got some while in Spain for €2.84!
We were extremely lucky & I feel bad as I think everyone should get the same but our CCG give 3 fresh & 3 frozen cycles on the NHS which we had the 3 Fresh. Oh yeah I work for my Dad so I'm lucky if its a work day he waits for me outside the clinic when I go in for a scan bless him I'm so incredibly lucky! X

@hopefulivfer fingers crossed for your update today x

HJen22 · 21/11/2022 10:38

Happy happy tears 🥹 one 8 cell grade 1 top quality embryo in the freezer ❄️

We have another 8 cell grade 2 and 7 cell grade 1 left until Day 5. She said that they are good quality so more than likely they will still be going strong. I cannot believe it. All 3 were still growing. So unbelievably overwhelming. We have never ever got this far. I'm in shock! It is such a relief to have one safe and sound in the freezer! Thank you for all of your support, it's meant the world!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

@Reefy Amazing that you got 3 cycles on the NHS! I know it's strapped for cash but as you say, it's a bit rough that it's not equal provision across the country. Urgh, it's a minefield isn't it. Infertility is so painful but not life threatening, so I understand why people don't think it should be funded by the NHS. But then I don't think fertility treatment is what's causing the money issues - it's poor management and lack of government funding. I'll stop there because I can go on and on on this subject...

Woah, you got a bargain on the down reg drugs! Amaze.

Lovely that your dad can be there for you. My partner's working abroad until Christmas so my mum's taking me to my transfer today. I think I'll go home with her afterwards and get looked after for a few days 🙂

countrypunk · 21/11/2022 10:40

@HJen22 YES!!! What fantastic news! I'm so, so happy for you. Tearing up a little. You must be absolutely over the moon ♥️♥️♥️

HJen22 · 21/11/2022 10:41

@countrypunk thank you so so much! I was shaking trying to write everything down, in floods of tears telling my OH and then again on the phone to my Mum. I am so so happy, all I wanted was one safely in the freezer. Any more is an absolute bonus! Xx

OP posts:
countrypunk · 21/11/2022 10:43

Oh @HJen22 🥹🥲 my heart is bursting for you.

Reefy · 21/11/2022 10:55

@HJen22 that's amazing! So happy for you! ❤️xx

hopefulivfer · 21/11/2022 12:11

That’s great news @HJen22
my other two we’re not good enough to freeze unfortunately. Oh well, 2 more cycles to go.

HJen22 · 21/11/2022 12:15

@hopefulivfer I'm really sorry that the other two were not able to be frozen too. I know it's disappointing but it's great that you have one blastocyst in the freezer. I hope you are ok xxx

OP posts:
countrypunk · 21/11/2022 13:18

@hopefulivfer I'm sorry, I hope you're OK. We're all here for you.
Love ♥️

CNizzle · 21/11/2022 14:14

Sorry to hear the news on your other 2 @hopefulivfer big hugs.

Glad to hear you had good news @HJen22

I think I'm probably having a chemical. Did a FRER this morning, 8dp5dt. The faintest of lines, only just visible... My official test date is Wednesday, but I'm not holding out much hope for this cycle, it's probably too late for it to start to increase now.
