Ivf cycle October anyone else?

Hi all, I’m day 2 of my first ever ivf cycle starting injections tomorrow. I wondered if anyone else was in the same position. Thought it might be nice to buddy up if people would find that helpful. I’m the only one in my friendship group going through this and as lush as they all are I don’t think they truly understand xx

All morning I’ve been having electric shocks, they literally take my breath away. I realise it could be the progesterone but I’m ignoring that bit 😂. I’d say it’s pretty much impossible not to symptom stop, I actually quite enjoy it. Gives me hope.

The nurse just rang me and I actually asked to push my OTD back to next Thursday as I have the day off.

We are with Create in Birmingham and like you, did a short protocol. They’ve been really lovely. How’s TFP been?

Do you have symptoms for your endo? I had a laparoscopy years ago in my early 20’s and they lasered it. I think it was only mild.

I bet the nurse has never been asked that before! Lol!

that’s great create have been good! The egg collection was pretty bad with tfp. It felt so inhumane but the transfer was really nice and the nurses were lovely

I’ve got stage 3 endo and get lots of symptoms. Had a lap in July and got it excised and diathermised but it had caused damage to my falopian tubes and amh

I am so sorry to hear your EC was difficult 😞. If you don’t mind me asking, what happened?? I was really lucky to be honest with mine, the sedation knocked me out cold and I didn’t feel a thing.

You poor thing ❤️. I have friends that really suffer with Endo. It doesn't seem to be recognised and treated all that well from what I hear from them.

I’ve got some light bleeding this evening and my period is due tomorrow so I think im out 😭

Oh @Spink2022 !! I know it’s so difficult and confusing but maybe it’s not your af. I have read so many stories of women bleeding on and off around the time of their period and still being pregnant. Hang in there. Thinking of you. Lots of hugs xxxx

Sending you love @Spink2022 ! 😭 As @Sezzza said it's definitely not unusual to get some bleeding around period due date when pregnant. I really hope that's the case for you! 🤞 Fingers and toes tightly crossed for you.

Hi @Sezzza im okay thanks! Got a really back ache today but I’ve been on my feet at work but no more spotting or blood so I don’t know what that was all about?? Friday can’t come quick enough now.

I had a bit of a scare last night. I got woken up with crippling pain in my tummy. With a history of an ectopic pregnancy I was super worried. Fortunately, I think it was trapped wind 😂. I can’t believe it can be so painful!

I'm feeling ok but very impatient for Sunday while also kind of dreading it! I have quite a bad headache today so am hoping that is a pregnancy sign somehow 😅 apart from that I have cramps on and off and am tired but it's hard to tell if that's just the emotional strain of it all.

@Sezzza omg! lol so glad it was wind! I’ve had such bad gas some EC! Trapped wind can be awful. That was the worst pain I’d experienced after my laparoscopy!

my lower belly is so bloated today and it looks like I have a bump! And I’ve been getting left side shooting pains up my back and bum. I’ll be glad when tomorrow has come and I have an answer of some kind!! I’m a bit worried if it’s neg they will say to re test on Monday because mine weren’t blastocysts and I had that bit of pink a few days ago.

The Tww is SO LONG. I can’t believe I’ve managed not to test 😂 I dreamt that I tested like 3 times last night and woke up convinced I’d tested in my sleep 😂 I’m hitting manic point 🫣

@Nora11 I had a headache that lasted 2 days at about the point you are at now! It was right behind my eye and was making me so exhausted. Now that’s gone I’m not exhausted im just tried and hungry.

you can read into everything being a symptom can’t you! I wish we could just sleep through the 2ww 😂

have you got any plans for test day? We’ve taken the day off work and are going for a nice lunch regardless of the outcome. Tbh at this point I’m just glad to have an answer/end point and out of this limbo…. Until the next wait 🫣😂 this process has taught me patience.

are you waiting until OTD to test?

I’ve been waiting all night to test. Held off until 5:40am! But got a very faint BFP on their hcg test and a darker one on FRER!!!!!!!!!!!! I just burst out crying 😭 I’m going to test again in 2 days to see if it gets darker. Do you think my lines are dark enough? I don’t get a beta at mine.

Oh congratulations @Spink2022 ! I just woke up and the first thing I did was check this thread for an update from you!

I don't know about how dark the lines should be but they look like definite positives to me. As your embryos weren't quite blastocysts when transferred they may have implanted slightly later? I think the most important thing is that the HCG increases rather than the exact level (as it varies a lot from person to person) so I would say test in 2 days like you say and if they are darker you'll know it's progressing!

@Nora11 thank you!!! I took those pics at exactly 3 mins after the test when my alarm went off. Now they’re dry they’re really clear! I’m so excited!!!! I feel so lucky. I was thinking the same thing about my embryos not quite being blasts and that but if pink I had Tues being late implantation? Going to call my clinic at 8 to give them the news!

Omg @Spink2022, this is the most amazing news!!! A massive congratulations to you ❤️❤️! I would guess that at this stage, any two lines are fantastic. I’m sure they will only get darker as the days go on. You must be in cloud 9 🥰

Please can I join this group too? I am currently in the TWW. I had a fresh transfer on 31st October so only 4dp but the wait is killing me!! Symptoms are sore boobs and cramps but I am sure those are the progesterone.

Welcome @Bubbafever and congratulations on your transfer! It is such a painfully slow wait, when is your test date?

I had sore boobs for a bit which I think were from the trigger, that started to fade a few days after transfer. I'm paranoid that if I had them from the HCG in the trigger, they should have come back now if I'm pregnant and producing HCG naturally. I guess the trigger would have been a flood of hormone rather than a slow build though... So hard not to overthink these things!

@Nora11 it really is so hard not to overthink. I woke up with a headache this morning and then was on dr google first thing! Patience is not my virtue...

My boobs changed daily. They were really sore the first few days and then went again then came back and went again. I think it’s the progesterone. They also got massive and heavy and big blue veins. I have noticed the last couple of days my nipples have changed slightly. Again it could all be build up of hormones.

@Bubbafever i also had a headache that was behind my eye that lasted a good 2 days and I ended up taking paracetamol for it 🤞

@Spink2022 🤞🤞 I also had a 5dt with a morula just behind a blastocyst.
