Ivf cycle October anyone else?

Hi all, I’m day 2 of my first ever ivf cycle starting injections tomorrow. I wondered if anyone else was in the same position. Thought it might be nice to buddy up if people would find that helpful. I’m the only one in my friendship group going through this and as lush as they all are I don’t think they truly understand xx

@Spink2022 yeah im hoping they will ease, My work is super supportive so it should be ok, I think it’s more so my worry about it all rather than theirs. Glad to hear your work is supportive.

@IVFing84 i’m definitely drinking more than usual but I may just start keeping a bottle with me. Your egg collection is scheduled for the same day as me! Hopefully you can have a fresh transfer. Just saw your advice to @Nora11 about the meds not coming out I always find there’s a tiny bit of liquid on my stomach after Is that a big issue?

@Nora11 good luck with your injections tomorrow. Well they’ve said it’s highly likely so I’ve almost got that in my head so im not disappointed but the plan would be a fresh transfer if no OHSS. That would be amazing if that happens.

Had a scan today . All follicles are growing but at a very slow pace so one stim injection added from today. ( 4 injections daily now 😢) Next scan on Thursday

Hi, hope I can join! I am doing an FET ivf, I just had egg retrieval around this time last month. I have my nurse planning call today for my frozen transfer.... hope you are all well.
I was on Fydramel & Menopur x

Thanks everyone for the advice and good luck wishes! 😊 My first injection went okay, I was surprised I didn't feel the needle going in at all though it did sting a bit getting the liquid in. Still, not bad at all! I just want to fast forward time to my next scan now! 😂 I'm sure the time will go by fast in reality but it seems so far away!

@Nora11 so glad it went okay I’m adding my 2nd injection tomorrow, the needle is so much bigger! I know exactly what you mean about wanting to fast forward my scan is Wednesday and i started last Thursday, seems ages! I feel like I’ve been wishing and waiting for the next step for the last 3 years!

im okay added my 2nd injection today which stung a bit more and I got a bit of a rash but they said that’s to be expected. First scan tomorrow. Hopefully I’m responding well I haven’t really had any side effects apart from headaches.

@Nobabyyet20 Yeah, I have my embryos "chilling" in the freezer, so I am just waiting for a new cycle.. I had my consultation call yesterday so now is just a waiting game.. Its nice to have somebody (s) going through the same thing so we all understand how each other feel.

What medication are you on?
Don't worry about side effects. I didn't really have any bar bloating near the end! x

@RMS0209 I can’t remember if you’ve said but do you have pcos? Have they gave you a sense of how long you’ll have to wait, I hardly ever get periods so I would worry about how long the wait would be. So glad it’s gone well for you so far though. Definitely echo that it’s nice to have someone to talk to.

im on overleap and fyrmadel, headaches have been my only thing really. Looking forward to my scan tomorrow.

@Nobabyyet20 Yeah, I do have PCOS but I have regular(ish) cycles, although 2 cycles ago was 39 days and my last cycle was 44... but hopefully be around the same this time.. hopefully no longer!
But like I say i am down for early November "starting" list, but the nurse was lovely I have to just phone and keep them updated with my cycle.

Oh I haven't heard of Overleap. excited for your scan too, will you also get bloods? x

@RMS0209 Ah that’s good that your on the list for November and your cycles are usually close together. Yeah I’ve found I’ve had such a good experience with my clinic and the professionals in this area.

Had my scan today 24 follicles but like 8 or 10mm, 3 at 12 and 2 at 14mm. They said I was responding well and normally rather than over responding like expected. Next scan is on Friday. I can’t help feeling like it isn’t enough despite her saying I’m doing well. I’m also trying not to get my hopes up that I’ll be able to have a fresh transfer which I have failed at today 😂

I am doing okay but can't wait to get to my scan on Friday and find out what's going on in there! 😂 I'm feeling very tired but not sure if it is related to the injections or just coincidence!

@Nora11 ive been stunning since last Thursday. Apparently I’m responding averagely. I now can’t wait for Friday when I have my 2nd scan 😂

Ah you’ll have a scan at the same day as me, let me know how you get on 😊 glad your doing ok. I’m pretty tired too. Feel like I can never get enough sleep! X

@Nora11 I’m so so tired on my injections! And my emotions are all over the place! Im
not sure how much is psychological or stress and how much is hormones. I’m on the highest dose they can prescribe they said.

@APSR sorry you’re responding slower than expected. How many folicules did you have?

i had my first scan Monday and only had 7 folicules ranging from 6-13mm. Next scan Friday. Hopefully EC Monday or Tues depending on my scan Friday. Im not feeling massively positive given how few folicules I have but it only takes one and hopefully they’ll be good quality!

Had 11 follicles. Got scan tomorrow to check the progress.

@APSR wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow. Hopefully good news and you can move on to collection early next week. I just keep thinking quality over quantity. They did tell us before we started that we’re likely to only get 1 embryo and not have any to freeze because of my low amh for my age.

Yeah that’s true but my last cycle failed ( got only 3 eggs from 10 follicles and 1 4AA blastocyst which failed to implant) I’m worried now about how many blastocyst I’ll get this time.

I feel like I’m getting pms symptoms, sore boobs, bloat, achey. Day 8 of stimming is that normal? Egg retrieval Monday

Had scan today . Got only 8 follicles ( had 12 in my last scan ) extremely disappointed 😢 and the follicles are growing slow so one more week of stim injections. Next scan on tue. Had hormonal blood test as well and if the levels are low this cycle would be aborted 😢

Can’t explain in words how I am feeling right now. It’s such a tough situation to be in. We do so much but still sometimes things don’t work in our favor. 4 injections per day but still my ovaries are struggling to grow the follicles.
