IVF cycle Sept/Oct 2022

Hi everyone.

I wanted to start a thread for anyone going through an IVF round in the next few weeks. I am currently on my third round of ICSI after a MMC at 9weeks on cycle 1 and a BFN on cycle 2. Third time lucky, I hope!

IVF can feel like a very lonely place sometimes so it's nice to have somewhere to vent and get advice 🙂

@b0zza1 it’s great your clinic recommended supplements! When I asked my doctor about it, he said folic acid, vit d and coenzyme q10 but told me not to spend too much money on other stuff 😆 (I don’t agree with that). I tend to use solgar and have managed to get most of mine off Amazon. I always try to look for products sold and dispatched by Amazon to ensure it’s safe.

I haven’t taken omega 3 though it might be in the pregnacare multivitamin I take. And don’t know anything about DHEA, sorry

Hello @b0zza1! I take a lot of supplements. I found an old thread on fertility friends by a woman who'd done a huge amount of research and I pretty much just copied her. I take: Wild Nutrition pregnancy supplement, calcium, vitamin D, evening primrose oil (only until I ovulate), vitamin B6, coq10, l-arginine, royal jelly and vitamin C.

That looks pretty bonkers written down. And I also try to eat a couple of Brazil nuts every day for the selenium. And I've got my partner on a load too. If you want more info I'll see if I can find the fertility friends thread?

Oh and @b0zza1 - I get most of mine from Holland & Barrett because they often have the buy one get one half price deal on.

Hi all, I’m two days post egg collection and I’m feeling really hormonal/pms symptoms. Has anyone felt like this? Feels like my period could come any second which is really making me panic that my lining could be thinning - but is it just the progesterone ? As I’m on progesterone injections and tablets too. Any reassurance/similar experiences would be appreciated. Looking at transfer Monday

Thank you. And no need to look up the other thread. I felt annoyed that so many had been recommended and now feel relieved when I know how many it's possible to take 😂Funny the reversals you feel. I feel like this is a charcteristic of the ivf path!

I have my next round treatment plan next week!
I’m having a frozen transfer
Natural cycle I think they said!

getting nervous it’s come around again I was absolutely gutted after the first failed it’s such disappointment

Little update from me- 1 little embaby transferred this morning and the remaining 3 in the freezer 🥰 TWW starts now...!

Is the day of or after transfer counted as 1dp?

Did you already have the Decapeptyl injection ?
How long after did you start estrogens ?

@RoseLlo yeah egg collection tomorrow, feeling quite nervous. Also trying to manage my my emotions because I’ve got my hopes up for a fresh transfer but I know that could all change tomorrow. Hope your feeling okay xx

@bathbombaholic it's slowly sinking in OTD is tomorrow so will become more real I think after that call and scan date etc. symptoms sore boobs and irritable don't help I slept on my neck funny sat night so yesterday was in pain all day slightly better today thankfully
