Medicated FET what day was your transfer?

Hi everyone,

Embarking on another round of IVF and I’m having a FET next Tuesday. I went for a lining scan on CD8 and it was 6.1mm so returned yesterday CD11 and lining was above 7mm. I’m to start the dreaded progesterone pessaries on Thursday CD14 this week and my transfer is now booked for next Tuesday CD19.

Is this very late for a transfer? I’m getting myself all worried that it’s late and it’s going to impact the result of this cycle but being medicated does it not make a difference? Can anyone put my mind at ease?!

Many thanks!

Thanks @EasterBunny7 I found a company about 4km away and they only do home tests. I think the guy who came could sense my anxiety as he said I can see how urgent you want it. Turns out it will be tonight.

I hear ya on nothing can stop it in its tracks, if it isn’t viable I want to stop all medication and let nature take its course. I am really trying to be positive and really hope it’s a decent beta. I have another test on Monday.

have you done a digital? I got 1-2 weeks last Sunday and I am just wondering when I should get 2-3 weeks.

EasterBunny7 · 15/07/2022 14:11

@Hopefull1981 funnily enough, in all my years of ttc, I have never used a digital! I suppose I was never in a position to monitor hcg development, as I started bleeding early on and so there was no point. I have been keeping an eye out on line progression with the strip tests but with the heat wave, I threw away my collection of tests. I could not stand the waft of old urine in a humid bathroom! So, I could not tell you how strong today's one looked in comparison to two days ago.

Hopefull1981 · 15/07/2022 18:23

Not good news here. My second beta came back 78, looks like I am out.

I just knew. So devastated.

EasterBunny7 · 15/07/2022 18:57

@Hopefull1981 I'm utterly devastated for you, I did not want to believe it myself. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you have support around you.

flowersinmay · 15/07/2022 18:59

@Hopefull1981 oh no I'm so so sorry, this is really sad news. Sending you big virtual hugs. I hope you have some loved ones around you to look after you, this process absolutely sucks. Sending you so much love 💜

Do you have any embryos on ice you can use to try again soon? You're making me a little nervous about my test lines now too! Your pics didn't look that light to me, I don't understand it, I'm so gutted for you ☹️ hope you can treat yourself this weekend xox

Hopefull1981 · 15/07/2022 19:55

Thanks @EasterBunny7 I still need to do another beta on Monday and stay on all meds as the tests are strong.

thanks @flowersinmay sorry it’s making you nervous. I think everyone is different. I will still test the weekend. We have 5 more. I hope to go into a transfer when the bleed starts. I’ll still be hanging around to keep up with news.

I am trying to be strong, will have a cry later when it all sinks in. It’s hard to believe that’s 5 gone in 13 months.

Gracie2021 · 15/07/2022 19:59

I'm so sorry @Hopefull1981 there's just no words. Sending you all the love right now.

flowersinmay · 15/07/2022 20:02

@Hopefull1981 awww you poor thing ☹️💜 yes have a big cry - I always find it helps to let it all out! It's still really great news you have more to transfer, it has to be a numbers / statistics game. Just a matter of time surely? be strong and try and stay focused and positive, you will get there eventually, we all just need to keep the faith and keep trucking onwards and upwards. Do you think the doctors can give you any more answers or some additional support with more medication or something? Really hoping it works for you soon, sending you so much love! Be kind to yourself you've been through a lot ♥️

flowersinmay · 15/07/2022 20:03

@Gracie2021 wishing you all the best for your start 🤞💜xox

Justhopeful · 16/07/2022 01:29

@Hopefull1981 oh no! I am so so sorry about this, i have no words as this is so devastating.

You get a BFP but never feel safe and can't even be excited because of fear of mc.

We will definitely get there in the end. I hope you are hanging in there. Sending lots of love ❤️❤️❤️

Hopefull1981 · 17/07/2022 10:37

Morning ladies how are you all? Plot twist I did these 2 tests this morning and I am confused. It was 1-2 weeks on Friday beta would have been 78. I am waiting on consultant to call me. I think he will say to continue on the meds and wait for the third beta.

EasterBunny7 · 17/07/2022 10:52

@Hopefull1981 that's amazing! Fingers crossed there was an error on your second beta, or something! Will you do a third beta tomorrow?

Hopefull1981 · 17/07/2022 10:56

@EasterBunny7 yes I have a test at 08.45 but won’t have the results until Tuesday, the unknown is so annoying.

EasterBunny7 · 17/07/2022 11:11

@Hopefull1981 they do make you wait quite a while, isn't it? Especially considering you're paying for it. As a comparison, the NHS EPU manage to get you hcg blood results within 40 minutes to an hour. I would assume a private company would do better. Can you sense my impatience? 😏

Gracie2021 · 17/07/2022 12:12

Thanks a mil @flowersinmay just started my medications on CD2 here and will be having a follow up about our complaint with the doctor tomorrow plus talking scheduling. Going to see if I can get an early CD7 or CD10 scan. On higher dose of estrogen this time so hopefully that will work better at suppressing things.

Omg @Hopefull1981 everything crossed for you and the beta tomorrow. Really hope you get the results soon. Can't imagine how hard the wait is.

How are you doing @EasterBunny7? Have you still been doing tests or just waiting for the next bloods/scan?

Hopefull1981 · 17/07/2022 12:15

@EasterBunny7 i know. My EPU won’t see me as they are so busy.

how are you now? Did you go for a test?

EasterBunny7 · 17/07/2022 12:37

@Gracie2021 really pleaaed for you that you've started again. Fingers crossed you'll be in the TWW very soon.

@Hopefull1981 and @Gracie2021
I'm doing ok. 5 weeks today. Doing urine tests every other day. Line looked the same as Friday, trying not to think too much into it. I'm wishing more symptoms on myself but I'm sure I'll come to regret it!

Despite all the worries, I do start day dreaming as well. I do that every single time! I look at prams, cribs and all kinds of things. I think about how I'll make the announcement. I think about whether I will start to show before the 12 week mark. I look at maternity wear. I think about whether it's better to be pregnant during winter or summer? I wonder how being born in March will impact little embryo academically?

Anyone else do that? 😀

Hopefull1981 · 17/07/2022 15:17

@EasterBunny7 it’s really good to think positively and day dream. Line progression is so annoying, I definitely obsessed Over it.

clinic have said to stop the blood thinner, that doesn’t bode well as it shows they don’t believe this will progress. I have resigned myself to it not working but for a wee while this morning I thought could this be a slow burner.

Gracie2021 · 17/07/2022 19:30

You're so right to enjoy the daydreams and the planning @EasterBunny7! We don't even have an embryo on board yet and I'm already day dreaming about due dates now that I know where CD1 is 😂 I think March/April is a lovely time to have a baby. Great for school starting at 4.5 and baby old enough to enjoy a summers maternity leave.

Fingers crossed for a late bloomer @Hopefull1981 and an uptake on the beta tomorrow. Sending you so many good wishes.

Hopefull1981 · 18/07/2022 09:32

How is everyone today? My gosh the heat is crazy. These are my tests this morning, it’s now a suspected ectopic. Beta test done will know tomorrow at lunch. How are you getting on @EasterBunny7 @flowersinmay ?

Gracie2021 · 18/07/2022 10:19

I'm so sorry @Hopefull1981 how are you doing? Probably a stupid question. Really hope they're wrong and things are ok. Presume it's too early to scan to see what's going on? Hope you get answers soon.

EasterBunny7 · 18/07/2022 10:44

@Hopefull1981 God, that's crap. Ectopic is one of the worst possible outcomes. We already have a tough time getting pregnant and then for it to be in a location that could further damage our body is so stressful! Sorry, my intention is not to make you feel worse, I am sure you are already thinking this. I just hope they can remove it safe and sound. The important thing is that there is no further damage to your body and you get to a point where you can try again. We are here for you throughout this process, talk to us whenever you like and don't feel like you have to disappear.

... just occurred to me, you haven't felt any symptoms of an ectopic so far, have you?

Hopefull1981 · 18/07/2022 10:45

@Gracie2021 Unfortunately it is too early. I really would like to know at this stage. Limbo land is not fun at all. I have no pink tests left, but those blue ones are very strong. How are you feeling?

Hopefull1981 · 18/07/2022 10:49

@EasterBunny7 No not one symptom. Low beta increases can be one of the signs the consultant said. I am not sure if it would be too early yet to experience symtoms. I read online that the lowest HCG level for the clear blue digital to turn from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks is 120 and mine was 78 the day before. Tomorrow is d day, I suppose. How are you doing?

Gracie2021 · 18/07/2022 10:50

Hate that for you. For me I can deal with anything once I know what I'm dealing with but waiting is just so hard mentally and emotionally. Here for you for whatever you need!

CD3 here. Call with doc this morning and we came to a satisfactory conclusion Re our complaint about our cancelled transfer so feel like I can finally put that behind me properly. First scan will be next Monday and I'm hoping for a transfer the first week in august all going well. Our doctor is away again (I suspect that's why we had issues last cycle) so going to keep such a close eye on them this time.
