Medicated FET what day was your transfer?

Hi everyone,

Embarking on another round of IVF and I’m having a FET next Tuesday. I went for a lining scan on CD8 and it was 6.1mm so returned yesterday CD11 and lining was above 7mm. I’m to start the dreaded progesterone pessaries on Thursday CD14 this week and my transfer is now booked for next Tuesday CD19.

Is this very late for a transfer? I’m getting myself all worried that it’s late and it’s going to impact the result of this cycle but being medicated does it not make a difference? Can anyone put my mind at ease?!

Many thanks!

@EasterBunny7 I am on 4dp5dt today assuming day 1 is Tuesday that’s what makes me weary of the lines. What time do you take the blood thinner? I have progesterone in the evening.

How is everyone else doing?

Justhopeful · 09/07/2022 15:53

@Hopefull1981 great looking lines. Congrats

flowersinmay · 09/07/2022 16:42

@Hopefull1981 ooooo wow congratulations! Looking strong!

I'm testing every day, I'm obsessed, keep walking into the bedroom to check the lines are still there on the tests (call me crazy!)! My otd is Monday, do you know what happens once you tell the clinic? I've never had a positive before so I've no idea! Xox

Hopefull1981 · 09/07/2022 17:13

@flowersinmay my clinic said to do a test next Sunday and then give them a call. I assume next step are beta bloods and a scan. I know my clinic does them but others don’t. I already sent a message to say it was positive and I started the blood thinner. Those injections are very stingy on the belly. I think I will get my beta checked by my GP as well as the progesterone.

EasterBunny7 · 09/07/2022 23:35

@Hopefull1981 I haven't mentioned how painful the blood thinner injections were because I knew you were due to start. But, my God, they really do sting! Not just the thicker needle going in but a delayed burning sensation as the medication zings through your body!

Has your clinic okayed you starting from any bfp dates? Mine said OTD only but I don't really care because the recurrent miscarriage unit said from bfp so that takes precedence for me.

Hopefull1981 · 10/07/2022 11:26

thanks @EasterBunny7 they don’t have leave bruises. I haven’t heard from the clinic yet, but I remember she did say if the test is positive.

I thought I had used all the tests I brought down to my dads but I found a box of clear blue At the bottom of my bag. I think now I can step away (in theory). I can do too much now.

@EasterBunny7 the consultant has advised she is happy for me to start the blood thinner.

flowersinmay · 11/07/2022 09:57

Hi ladies,

How is everyone doing? Today was my otd and happy to say the line has gotten darker. My clinic has asked me to go for a scan in two weeks time. Im really hoping it's going to go smoothly. Ive gone down a rabbit hole of googling miscarriage % rates day by day, which is completely unhealthy I know, but this process and my infertility experiences have just filled me with constant anxiety. I hope you are all doing ok? It's been really lovely having this little support group. Sending you all lots of love xox

Hopefull1981 · 11/07/2022 12:14

@flowersinmay that’s great news. Do you have a due date?
My clinic said they would ring me Friday to book in a 6 week scan, no bloods though?
I am in the same boat re the miscarriage and I definitely will have anxiety when it comes to scans. Personally I don’t want be filled with anxiety this pregnancy, it’s going to be tough but we’ll take it day by day. Crazy to think I had the transfer this day last week.

flowersinmay · 11/07/2022 14:08

@Hopefull1981 yes they've just sent me a letter with the medication details and what I need to keep taking until when! 17th March is due date - what about you? I don't get bloods either, just having a scan booked for the 27th. Really hoping time flies and also everything is good on the scan - you? X

Hopefull1981 · 11/07/2022 14:43

@flowersinmay the calculator says the 22nd of March but I know my consultant said previously he would only let me go 39 weeks so I suspect it would be the 14th of March. He only does sections on a Tuesday 😂

I will go for bloods tomorrow and Friday just to settle my head. It takes 48 hours to get them back which is a pain.

I am on progesterone until week 14 and fematab until week 12.

EasterBunny7 · 11/07/2022 16:14

@Hopefull1981 oh wow, you have a dedicated consultant? Do you mind if I asked why you already know that you will have a c section at 39 weeks?

Hopefull1981 · 11/07/2022 16:33

@EasterBunny7 I already have a 3 year old who didn’t want to come out. I was 42 weeks with her and ended up with c section as she had a ‘floating head’. When I was pregnant last year I went to see my consultant and straight away he said we would only be going to 39 weeks no matter what route I took.

EasterBunny7 · 11/07/2022 17:46

Oh I see! So, you know what to expect with pregnancy! Another naive question from me: what is a floating head?

Hopefull1981 · 11/07/2022 17:50

@EasterBunny7 it means the head has not dropped into position. My pregnancy last time was the result of a very drunken night in North Africa on holidays with the husband, very different this time round 😂😂😂 how are you getting on? When is your OTD? Mine seems to have gone out the window.
