Is anyone else due to start treatment July 2022 or around then?

I thought to make this thread so that we can all have a chat whilst going through treatment so that we don't feel alone.

Hi everyone. The wife done a test this morning after 7dpt, couldn’t bare to wait any longer!

It’s quite faint so not getting hopes up yet

Update this morning ET Monday as long as my stomach pain subsides. 10 excellent embryos- 3 front runners 5 just behind and 2 good ones- they are leaving the other 8 in to see if they catch up.

Still petrified we will have none come Monday.

We just had a call too, out of the 25, 20 was mature and 13 fertilised will get a call Thursday to see how they are getting on. Last time 12 fertilised and only 1 blastocyst so hoping it's better this time 🤞
@PMAmostofthetime that sounds like great news I hope they are still doing well come Monday I'm sure they will. How are you feeling with OHSS because I feel awful today I'm hoping it will improve in the next few days.

@John100 wow congratulations that line looks good to me, similar to mine when we tested with my DD

@Tonim86 sore very sore, I'm drinking loads and have no other symptoms just bloated sore stomach. I am weeing a lot but my stomach hurts when I need to go so much it
stops me stabbing up straight.

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been quiet - it was all an awful lot to take in. I had prepared myself for pretty much every outcome but that! 😳

we made the decision to go straight to a second round. The clinic pushed egg donor route but as far as we’re concerned there’s no reason to change our tactics based on this round 🤷🏼‍♀️
im taking progesterone pessaries at the moment with a plan to start scans and stims as soon as I get my period - they’re estimating 22nd.
they’re keeping the same protocol as they were really happy with how it was going but I’m going to get over to the clinic on day 7 of stims rather than day 9 and monitor closer at the end.
I’m annoyed at the waste of time, money and what I went through for nothing but at least I know what to expect and what I’m doing this time so I’m less anxious than last time.

had a really crap welcome home last night - OH has got quite stressed with the pressure of things he had to deal with while I was gone and it ended up in a horrible argument. After how difficult the last week has been it’s really pushed me over the edge and I’m questioning everything. I’m so upset with his lack of support 😕

@Kelb79 I'm glad you have a plan and sorry it didn't work out this time. Last time when we didn't get to say 5 we argued a lot it's easy to forget that they take it tough too. My OH hates seeing me go through it all and is also emotional himself.

@Kelb79 glad to hear that you are able to go again. I have everything crossed this time will be the one for you! I think IVF is especially hard on relationships because you're both going through it and both totally stressed out at the same time.

I got an update that I now have 6 embryos on day 3 so better than I expected this morning! Seems one of our slow ones has caught up. Apparently 3 look good quality and the other 3 are a bit slower. So booked in for a transfer on Monday! I'm just so relieved that they didn't say they were developing abnormally or anything like that!

@John100 That looks very promising! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and your wife that the line continues to darken!

@Kelb79 Sometimes it can help to get going straight away with things, I hope things work out better for you this time around and I’m sure they will! I’m sure things with your OH will sort itself out, you’ve been through so much recently. It is hard when you don’t feel supported but I’m sure he is just stressed out by everything too. Maybe you could plan something nice together to take your mind off things?

@truetotal Those are great numbers too, I had a big drop on my first EC from 16 collected to 3 that were good enough quality by day 5. That’s exciting to have your transfer booked for Monday!

@Helene2019 l Welcome! Sorry to hear you’ve had such a difficult journey to get to where you are, maybe this time will be the lucky one!

My scan went well so I'm booked in for my first transfer on Thursday. Mixed emotions about finally getting to have the transfer, trying not to hold out too much hope but also quite anxious about it all!

@John100 congratulations!!!

@Rosemary121 glad the scan went well, i will be one day behind you with transfer on Friday. It's nerve wracking isn't it? Dreading the 2ww but also just want to get on with things now.

@PMAmostofthetime I'd never heard that about girls! Fingers crossed that's right because it turns out all of ours were slow developing 😅 I hope things are well with you and some of your embryos made it to day 5!

Ended up having two early blasts transferred this morning. We were given the choice of 1 or 2 by the clinic but they recommended 2 because they were slow developing so we just went with their recommendation! Was quite surprised they gave that option because I'm in the younger age group but they know best I'm sure! Feeling excited but trying not to get my hopes up just in case. Going to try to focus on relaxation and self care over the next two weeks.

@Rosemary121 I also ended up with 3 in the end! So hopefully our other one develops a bit more and can be frozen tomorrow.

Hope everyone is coping in the heat!

@truetotal this morning we only had 1 good quality Blast to transfer when we got there 2 more had developed further so are being frozen.

I had 2 last time but they hadn't reached Blast stage they were Cavitating Morula and Morula.

Hope they stick for you.

@PMAmostofthetime yes same date! I'm determined not to test early so need to find some will power from somewhere!

My last cycle AF showed early so I had to test 8p5dt and it was awful because even though it was negative. The clinic said I had to continue with meds and it gave me hope even though there wasn't any.
So my will power comes from there.

OH has hidden the Tests. So that helps too.

Top Top Cyclogest pessaries my doctor told me to keep them in the fridge in this heat they reach room temperature asap and don't crumble on insertion. X

@Eggling Ah we’ll be pretty close with testing day then! Do you plan on testing early or are you going to hold out till 2 weeks? I feel the same as you, just want some progress now!

@truetotal Ah exciting – congrats on the transfer(s)! That’s interesting that they let you do two, I’m thinking of asking for 2 next time around if this time doesn’t work as I know they’re both average-poor quality. Hope you have something nice planned to keep you relaxed 😊

Congrats on being PUPO @PMAmostofthetime @truetotal I read the thing about girls being slower developing too, it's why I was convinced DD was going to be a boy as she was our fastest embryo. I think the study said something like 70-30 chance of being a boy if it's a 5aa but I can't remember the details.

@Rosemary121 I don't know, last time I held out but I don't know if I'll be able to. I think OTD will be a Monday or Tuesday so I'll probably test the weekend before. What are you thinking?

Hi all update from me I had my transfer this afternoon. It was so hot afterwards that I passed out ( big nap ) - think it was combo of stress and heat. Now onto the 11 day wait. Fingers crossed for all!
