Is anyone else due to start treatment July 2022 or around then?

I thought to make this thread so that we can all have a chat whilst going through treatment so that we don't feel alone.

@Tonim86 did you have another scan today? How did it go?

I have my trigger tonight and booked in for EC Wed.

At slight risk of OHSS so need to up my water intake x

@PMAmostofthetime oh I hope the trigger goes well and EC runs smoothly, our scan went well today up to 17 ranging from 10-18 with a lot 16+ but because we are doing PGT and freezing them they want them more mature, so next scan Wed EC Friday now I think works out about 12 days stims which was the same as before I think

@EuropeRoadtrip sorry to hear about your difficult journey I hope it goes ok this time round, if it's any consolation my daughter was a 4BB the only blastocyst we had in that round and we was successful 🤞

@Tonim86 great number today is my 12th day. I've sore and grouchy today. Just had my last 2 stim shots for this cycle and now awaiting the dreaded trigger at 11:30.

Not caught up here yet, but I had a scan for my natural modified FET today.

lining was 7.7mm
lead follicle was 17mm

Just need to catch the LH surge now and they’ll schedule me in!

@PMAmostofthetime trigger twin!!! 🤪 I’m triggering tonight for EC Wednesday too!!
the doctor scanned this morning and only counted the 5 biggest follicles (all around 20) so I don’t know how many were actually there but I guess we’ll see 🤷🏼‍♀️
What’s your trigger program like?
ive had to do my 2 regular shots early at 6pm tonight and I’ve got 2 shots for the trigger at 9pm 😩
it’s killer - I’m so bloated and tender - there’s no part of my tummy left to inject into that isn’t totally bruised and sore!! 😵‍💫😵‍💫

so I’ve been doing quite a lot for egg quality for quite some time…
stopped drinking regularly, eating clean and staying active for at least a year…
acupuncture, selenium, coQ10 for 6 months…
DHEA and giving up coffee for the last 8 weeks…

here’s hoping it was worth it!!!

@Kelb79 @PMAmostofthetime I'm feeling bloated and sore too 😩 I'm really bruised I am pleased at the process but was a bit gutted EC got moved as had all childcare planned etc but obviously we would prefer nice big mature eggs.
Hope both of your triggers go ok what time are you both booked in for Wednesday?

@thislittlebird what does LH surge mean sounds like your heading in the right direction 17mm is great. I hope the next scan goes ok

@Tonim86 LH is the hormone you pick up with ovulation test kits, need to get a positive OPK. I'm only waiting to ovulate now, done with the scans and then they'll schedule my transfer day.

The second FET feels quite different to the (failed) first, more routine and less exciting/anxiety inducing.

Hope you don't mind if I join. I think a couple of you are on the same schedule as me with egg collection tomorrow (eeek!). DH and I have been ttc for around 3 years now. This is our first IVF round. Officially it's unexplained infertility but my progesterone results have always been borderline or too low so I think there's been a bit more going on!

Hello everyone, sorry I've been rubbish at keeping up with things, it's been one of those weeks!

Had a scan this morning and now booked for embryo transfer next Friday (22nd). Feeling a mixture of detached from it all and overwhelmed to be honest!

@truetotal hello! How are you feeling ahead of your egg collection? Best of luck for tomorrow! It seems like a few people have egg collection tomorrow - good luck to @Kelb79 and @PMAmostofthetime

@EuropeRoadtrip sorry to hear about everything you've been through, I'm afraid I don't know anything about euploid embryos either. I know what you mean about dr Google though, I think I basically did as much reading as for a PhD during my first round!

Hope everyone is coping ok in the heat too, I've been super grouchy and not sure whether to blame the heat or the hormones!

@Eggling I decided I’d had enough of it and an air con unit arrived today. It’s only been a few days and I’m very over the hot weather.

Transfer for me is scheduled for Sunday morning, and there’s no trains from my station that day so need to have a bit of a detour to a nearby station and go to the clinic that route.

@Eggling good luck for your transfer! I know what you mean though about mixed emotions. I've definitely found the emotional side of things a lot harder than the physical!

I'm feeling ok about EC tomorrow. A bit nervous about it maybe being painful and waking up from the sedation half way through or something! Mostly just glad to be getting on with things because it's felt like a long wait! My final scan went well though and things are looking good so trying to be positive. Not sure exactly how many follicles it was but it looked like maybe about 12 good sized ones.

Anyone got any tips for things to take to egg collection!? I think I've got a couple of hours wait until I go to theatre from what the nurse told me so I've packed a book but that's it so far!

We had our fresh embryo transfer on Sat (9th) and now have the agonising wait before we test on the 20th. Time is going so slow 😫

Good luck to those of you with EC tomorrow - I'll be thinking of you @Kelb79 @PMAmostofthetime & @truetotal let us know how you get on! When I had my EC I just took a magazine, a drink and a snack. I slept through the whole thing which I was really surprised about but just remember coming around in the recovery room after, so hopefully you will have a good sleep! The waiting wasn't too bad for me as the nurses and doctors were back and fourth a lot anyway so the time went quite quickly for me!

@Eggling I have my transfer planned for next week too, waiting on my scan Thursday to confirm so may be around the same time as you! I've absolutely been more grouchy, I'm telling myself it's the meds but probably a combination of that, the heat and the stress!

@John100 Congrats on your transfer, I know people say that the 2ww is the worst part! How are you feeling after your transfer? Do you have anything nice planned to keep you busy?

My wife is feeling ok, no symptoms whatsoever. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing though!
Nothing planned yet, just trying to stay as relaxed as possible

@John100 welcome! The 2ww is definitely the worst bit imo. Is the first for you two? I found the first week to be full of nervous hope and optimism and then the second week was almost completely the opposite. It’s such a rollercoaster.

thanks @Rosemary121! not looking forward to the heat in there come Sunday lol. Let’s hope that embryo likes the warmth.

@Eggling I didn’t have a wait so no book, but I took socks and was allowed to keep them on, and wear dark clothes in case you bleed when the IV thingy comes out. I did and it went all over me but I was wearing all black, thankfully.

@Kelb79 sorry just seen this 2 regular shots at 6pm and 1 trigger at 11:30. You'll be in for EC at 9 then which is nice get it done with.

@truetotal something to read or a puzzle book- fully charged phone.
I took a bottle of water as I was allowed sips and I took water and lucozade for after and some cereal bars and mini cheddars. This is my 2nd EC. I don't remember a thing from last time. The nurses told when I came around I said how many eggs lol.

@John100 congratulations on you and your wife being PUPO! You'll have a few of us joining you in the 2ww soon. Try and plan something to keep your mind off it. And take up a new hobby or get fixated on a series. Honestly it helps.

@John100 the 2ww is so hard!!! I had no pregnancy symptoms at all with DD so don't set too much on that, it's hard though as it's so all consuming. Hoping for good news on the 20th for you!

@John100 yes the 2ww is horrible I ended up testing early because I bled a bit and thought was AF but was actually pregnant but no other symptoms till I was around 6 weeks

@Tonim86 She doesn’t have a single symptom whatsoever so we’re both wondering now if it’s a good or bad sign. It doesn’t half play with your emotions!
