Is anyone else due to start treatment July 2022 or around then?

I thought to make this thread so that we can all have a chat whilst going through treatment so that we don't feel alone.

it f@£led up for me 😞 I ovulated early, they missed it. 2 empty follicles left. I’m totally broken 😞

EC booked for Friday trigger tonight at 20.45 no more other meds now high risk now of OHSS lots of follicles leading was 24mm which may be too big but they was happy with the others. @PMAmostofthetime did your EC go ok?

Hi @Tonim86 that's great news that your booked in.
Yes went well thank you they got 21 eggs and am at high risk of OHSS. On Monday's scan I have a follicle that was 28. And they got them all today so hopefully you'll be fine. I have been trying to drinking 4 litres of water a day and have used my protein. Which I have to continue to do.

They will take it day by day on whether I can have a fresh transfer or not.

Upped my protein ( not used) I'm not a big meat eater so Arlo yoghurts and Yoghurt pouches have been a god send 20g of protein in each one x

@PMAmostofthetime it went pretty well thank you. They got 12 eggs which I'm really happy with. Just have to wait and see what happens with fertilisation and everything tomorrow! Glad to hear you got on ok too! Hopefully the OHSS doesn't rear its ugly head and you can go ahead with the transfer!

I came out of the hospital thinking oh this isn't too bad! Went and got myself a Starbucks and texted my friends telling them it was totally fine and I felt normal... and now the meds have worn off... 😂 I feel like crap! But can't complain because it seems to have been a good outcome!

Thanks @Eggling @Tonim86 and @thislittlebird for all the tips! The time ended up going really fast because there were nurses popping in every 5 mins!

@truetotal That's great news! 12 is an amazing number :) I felt fine when I came out. But since I've been home I've slept- take paracetamol it helps x

@Kelb79 so so sorry to hear that it didn't work out today, it is such a rollercoaster isn't it especially if you've been trying to do the right prep for ages - take care of yourself and take it easy for a while xx

@PMAmostofthetime Glad the EC went well, hopefully the OHSS will settle down over the next few days but if not then it'll give your body a chance to recover anyway but fingers crossed for you. Hope you can take some time to rest 😊

@John100 As others have said, no symptoms is not necessarily a good thing or a bad thing at this stage from what I've read. Not too much longer for you both to wait now!

I have my scan tomorrow to see if lining is thick enough for transfer next week if all goes well.

Oh @Kelb79 I'm so sorry. It's such a brutal process. Especially when you've built up to something and it all comes crashing down again. I hope you are being well looked after tonight x

@Tonim86 good luck for Friday!! That sounds similar to my numbers pre EC, I did get OHSS but didn't have any major symptoms, just meant we had to wait and do a frozen transfer rather than fresh.

Hi Everyone,

Small update from me, I'm on day 3 of buserilin (suppression phase) Had no symptoms until now. Got a blood test for oestradiol on 25th July, bit strange as normally they do a scan. They haven't asked me to call in when I bleed either 🤷🏼‍♀️
Sometimes I feel like they make it up as they go along, is it just me?

@Kelb79 Massive hugs 💜 I reckon you should try again if you can, seems to me you had a good amount there. That's actually very hopeful. Keep going!

@NaomiNatNat I had no scans or tests done on Burserelin down reg. i had day 8 and day 10 stim scans.

I had my update this there was 20 not 21 eggs the other was a mass off cells but not yet an egg and out of the 20- 18 Fertilised!!!
I'm so excited-- hopefully they will get to day 5 blasts this time. Being cautiously optimistic that some will make it x

@PMAmostofthetime congrats on the numbers! That's amazing news. Hopefully you'll get a great number of blasts from that 😊

I have an update too, 11 of my eggs were mature and 5 have fertilised normally. Another 2 fertilised but weren't quite right so 5 good ones at the moment! Bit lower than I'd hoped but trying not to be too stressed about it because it's my first round! Just need to distract myself until my Saturday update from the lab now! 😬

@truetotal that's amazing- me too- I'll get a call Saturday to see how many of any made it and if they are transferring Sat or Monday.

My numbers are totally off the chart and not normal which is why I'm currently on an extremely high protein diet ( hard when you don't like meat) and drinking 4 litres of water a day as well as isontonic drinks.

5 fertilised is amazing news 🤞🏼 for Saturday for you x

@Kelb79 I read back on your story. I am so sorry to hear this. Give yourself as much time and space to heal as you need. And I also think if you try again you’ll do well. I’m on my second round and if this one fails will do a third. They say most people will need more than one cycle. Sending so much strength and support.

Hi everyone hope you all doing ok and keeping well, had my EC this morning all went collect 25 eggs which I'm really shocked about last time was 13 which I thought was great. Will hear tomorrow about how many are mature and fertilised etc 🤞🤞 home already which is good x

Quite sore too managed a nap earlier but I just feel really sick every time I drink or eat hopefully feel better tomorrow. They gave me some tablets on wed for OHSS so hopefully they will help. How do you ladies feel now who went wed for EC have you had any more updates

Joining on this thread as I'm not sure an August one has been started. I'm about to start downregging for my 5th cycle with egg collection in August. Been TTC for about 20 years with no good fortune, been trying IVF for the last 6 years of that with breaks between each cycle. Long story short: usually collect 8-14 mature eggs each cycle but despite ICSI over all cycles we've only had 2 blasts transferred resulting in BFN each time. This is prob our last cycle before trying a couple of IVF cycles with double donors and possibly a surrogate to see whether that will work. As a side note I quite possibly know everything there is to know about IVF by now 🤣.
