IVF - Anyone else on the 2 week wait as at 18/05/22

Just checking if anyone else is on the two week wait right now? I am! and wanted to just see how everyone is feeling :) I started my two week wait today!

@XjustagirlX I like the daily test idea, im doing same as well but lets be positive :) i had a miscarriage as well so I do understand the pain and frustration.

@Iliada gosh you have had a tough time, im really hoping for positive news for you this time round! How are you drinking 6 litres wow!! Being thirsty is meant to be a good sign of a BFP. Im the opposite, i dont feel like drinking any water at all. Just constantly craving junk food :(

@HannahBanana11 hahaha yea quite a few of us are testing daily, its soooo hard to resist! Im on day 5dpt and assumed by now I should have a positive test since its a 5 day embryo! :(

This is my second IVF cycle, my first I only got a few eggs and no blastocysts (transferred the best looking 2 embryos at day 5), nothing to freeze. This is my second cycle and it has gone better… more eggs, more embryos, transferred two blasts and even have two in the freezer. I’m 39 and just want to be a mom so badly! I am not in the UK (Canada, I hope that’s okay here in this forum) and in my province it’s not covered at all so we are paying all out of pocket, on a line of credit that is quickly running out of space. Hopefully this is is ladies!!!!! I think I’m going to HPT tomorrow eve (12dp5dt) or weds morning (13dp5dt), right before I go get my blood drawn. Ugh I’m on such a rollercoaster of emotions right now… xx

@Fertilityjourney i already tested today hahaha. I literally cant help myself :( i think i saw an imaginery pregnancy line cause its not there but i see something extremely faint. Im not going to assume its a line yet so will test again tomorrow as its wayyyy to early to have a line and im clearly imagining things. Will you be testing?

@Lisabrown88 ha ha this made me giggle, I think I’m too chicken to test,
no real symptoms, few twinges one side of abdomen maybe a few cramps but putting this down to the extra progesterone in my system, when is your official test day?

Got a fun new side effect today - my mouth tastes like metal. I just sat down to my favourite cherry tomato salad with balsamic vinegar (it was from the same bottle I’ve been using for two weeks, so it hasn’t gone bad) and it tasted absolutely disgusting, bitter and horrible. Again, it’s almost certainly just a side effect from the meds building up in my system (Do they build up? No idea), but it’s not fun. Even water tastes really weird now. Yuck!

Unfortunately I started bleeding today :( its bright red so I dont think its implantation bleeding. For those who had failed IVF cycles, was it around 1 week of transfer that they started bleeding?

Oh no, @Lisabrown88 , how worrying. That seems way too early to be AF, so don’t give up yet!

Was it a lot of bleeding or a little? I have never had any implantation bleeding, but I did know someone years ago who had her period through the whole 9 months like clockwork, had a bit of a bad tummy and ‘bloating’ for a couple of months and then out came a total surprise baby. So I don’t want to give you false hope, but bleeding may not mean anything yet.

Also, I remember being told that if you are putting the suppositories in the vagina you can accidentally catch yourself without realising, so a small bit of red blood can be that. More than a bit, though, and it will be coming from higher up.

When were you due on AF? I’m not due until next Tuesday, so if you are anything like me I would say it can’t be that yet. If you’ve got a 23 day cycle it might be. Best thing is definitely to call the clinic tomorrow and see if you can go in and have them check your blood levels or take a look.

@Iliada thank you soo much for the positivity. I was on the train and couldnt help myself from crying all the way home! Finally got home and found no blood anymore, even with the progesterone pessaries applicator so im hoping it was just implantation. Sooo strange though, i swear it seemed like a period. This is such an emotional roller coaster. Thank you so much for the encouragement and positivity 🥰🥰

I feel shattered today, I just want to sleep. Again I have no symptoms, I’m putting this tiredness down to the emotional process, it’s taking it out of me !

@Fertilityjourney the tiredness is a symptom! Haha. Did you test today? I tested again and negative ofcourse lol

@Fertilityjourney haha yea its negative lol but yours might be different. Wasted so much money on clearblue tests even though I know its early going to be negative for sometime lol. Il try to avoid testing till Sunday but I really doubt I can resist🤣

Well this morning was day 8 (in the FET house) and I tested with an easy@home strip and white stark nothing.

I feel like that’s it, done, and now I can just start looking ahead to next time. I desperately hope they let me go straight into another FET cycle, as I don’t want to have to sit with this disappointed feeling for another couple of months or whatever before trying again.

The tests detect at 25mIU/mL which is pretty low by now and my last pregnancy I would have got a line by now (although that one had amazing numbers at the beginning and still went wrong, so who ever really knows?).

I am glad to have time before Friday to come to terms with the outcome, although I do feel quite gutted today.

Some good news this morning - a positive FRER at 13dp5dt 😅! I go for blood today and the nurse will call me tomorrow with HCG results. Im nervous still given my previous miscarriage… I’ll keep you guys posted and thanks for the support. Hope there are MANY positive tests this round in this group!!! Xx

@Lisabrown88 just to say, my best friend had implantation bleeding at 13-14dpo and she was sure it was her period. But it stopped after a day and she is 14 weeks now. Bleeding is always scary but it's not always bad - and sometimes even a good sign... xx

I’ve been doing daily tests (cheap internet ones) and all negative so far. I’m on 5dp5dt.

my most common symptom is my pre AF spot. This comes on a failed ivf round too. It usually is here by 8dp5dt. So I’m hoping a spot doesn’t arrive by the end of Saturday.

@Iliada its just day 8 dont give up yet. I know what you mean though, today is day 8 for me as well and i got a negative digital test and i flung it across the room in disappointment! But I also know that the doctor told me not to test till Sunday so its kinda my fault lol

@hopefloats2022 ahh finally some good news. Soo happy for you and fingers crossed for the blood test, every step is nerve wracking, its like we are just waiting for the other shoe to drop!

@XjustagirlX day 8 could actually be implantation so dont throw in the towel at day 8.

The good news is that we are all getting one day closer to our tests lol so just have to remain positive :)

@Lisabrown88 when I say spot, I mean actually spot on my face not spotting blood 😂 I always get a spot usually on my nose or my chin.
