@Somatronic @Suki2020 @SamTTC lots of luck for Tuesday.

How are you all feeling?

@Jampot36 sending you lots of Will power for the rest of today- I'm in the mindset that only the first morning wee will work so once that's done with I have no desire to test until the next day 🤣.

Wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow.

Because I obviously like to torture myself I've worked out that with my next appointment the 24th May my cycle will start date based on my cycle should be mid June so I worked out EC and ET based on the last cycle and worked out that if it was a successful cycle I would be due this time next year! Why do I do this to myself 🙈

Suki2020 · 17/04/2022 18:40

@SamTTC @AliceAbsolum @PMAmostofthetime @Steph2345 transfer day tomorrow, booked in at the clinic for the morning so at least I don’t have to wait until the afternoon. Day5 tomorrow so just hoping we still have 4 embryos left. How are you all? Hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed the lovely weather.

Suki2020 · 17/04/2022 18:42

Sorry was went to put @HJen22 on the previous message

Steph2345 · 17/04/2022 18:52

@Suki2020 this is great news! I hope you manage to get some rest this evening. Is this your first transfer/Have you had IUI before? Are you working through the TWW?

PMAmostofthetime · 17/04/2022 18:58

@Suki2020 Good Luck for the morning- take some snacks and water for after and get some Isotonic drinks in for after.
I'm glad they are open tomorrow for you.

Having 4 gives you a great change of having one for transfer and one to freeze.

@Steph2345 how are you feeling now? X

Steph2345 · 17/04/2022 19:16

@PMAmostofthetime I’m feeling so much better! Still have a few symptoms of the OHSS lingering but no where near the state I was in this time last week, thank you for asking. How are you? Are you pleased to have a date sorted? I know it seems a while off but I’m sure it’ll be here before you know it xx

Yoga817 · 17/04/2022 19:40

Hi,

This is the first time ever posted on here. I hope this works! I'm currently doing first ivf cycle. Having egg collection on Tuesday 19th April and am very nervous. I'm 40, and had around 9 follicles at the right size. I'm praying it works. Great being connected to you all.

PMAmostofthetime · 17/04/2022 20:28

@Steph2345 That's good, are they monitoring you? Will you have have an early scan.

I was excited when I seen the letter then disappointed when I seen the date, but yes now I'm just glad I know when it is.

@AliceAbsolum is there no Vlog today?

@Yoga817 welcome I had my first collection last month.
9 good size follicles sound good and there may be a few more after trigger.
I was very nervous but I was completely out of it for collection, the worst part was the waiting before and the cannula for me I have a really bad needle phobia.
Take a magazine for before hand or a crossword book or something.
Take a snack ( I took cereal bars and mini cheddars) water and an isotonic drink for after.
Unfortunately mine didn't work,
Not the EC I tested negative but I am preparing to do it all again and as a massive baby and having needle phobia honestly the stims were the worst for me EC and ET were fine. I was I'll the night after EC with diarrhoea but aside from that it was fine.

I was anxious though and I think that's natural. Ask any questions lots of us have had it done in all different clinics in all different parts of the world. Im in Wales x

PMAmostofthetime · 17/04/2022 20:34

@AliceAbsolum how are you doing? Is there no Vlog today?
I'm been refreshing for ages lol 😂 x

PMAmostofthetime · 17/04/2022 20:35

Just realised I asked this twice- obviously made myself chocolate drunk 🙈🍫🍫🍫

AliceAbsolum · 17/04/2022 20:39

@PMAmostofthetime Ha ha! No not today. We generally upload once a week, but we've basically done nothing since we've been back so having a week off.

Suki2020 · 17/04/2022 21:04

@Steph2345 yeah my first transfer tomorrow so a little nervous of what to expect. Yeah I’m working in the tww, stressing over it a little though as I’m a hairdresser so stood on my feet all day. Glad you are feeling better now, you really did have a rough time of it with OHSS.
@PMAmostofthetime thank you. Yeah really hoping we have at least two to freeze tomorrow. The waiting is the worst part of it all isn’t it

Steph2345 · 17/04/2022 22:26

@PMAmostofthetime I have daily phone check ups still and they seem happy with progress and I can definitely see the improvements now too. I don’t think I’ll need an additional scan, the clinic I’m with scan between weeks 7&8 anyways so they have booked me in for the 5th May.
I hope you allow yourself a few treats between now and your appointment! X

@Suki2020 I can imagine being on your feet all day may feel a bit much. Chat to your nurse team tomorrow when you have the transfer and see what their opinion is. It seems every clinic is different. Mine said to do whatever I normally do just restrict lifting and excessive exercise x

PMAmostofthetime · 17/04/2022 23:27

@Steph2345 it's good that they are checking in.
5th of May not long at all so exciting :) my clinic does the same. Which is good and will offer you reassurance too- then you'll get another one 4 weeks ish later :).
Have you told anyone yet?
Yes we are currently planning a trip away :) to be back 2 weeks before the appointment incase of Covid.
We have cancelled everything else so am looking forward to it.

@AliceAbsolum Nice for you to have a break too.

@Suki2020 my ET was over in 15 mins and they let me watch it on the screen and then video it later. I was anxious as I have really painful smears and scans but honestly I could feel something but it wasn't painful. Wishing you the best of luck- I was waiting longer in the waiting room than I was in there. I almost felt like it was a waste changing. Just to warn you, you are exposed with legs in stirrups as they scan your stomach while they are doing the transfer. But they covered be up before and as soon as they were done while they were checking the catheter to make sure the embryos were not in there.

X

AliceAbsolum · 18/04/2022 06:24

Good luck @jampot36 xx

@PMAmostofthetime I do the same re all the date calculations 😬😬 it’s terrible! I even had the gall to wonder whether the predicted due date is a ‘good’ or a ‘bad’ time to have a birthday. I’m over that now. Just have a birthday! 😂😂

@Steph2345 so happy to hear things are going well! I know there is absolutely no such thing as fair in this game, but after everything you went through I’m still just so glad there was a positive explanation for it ❤️

@Suki2020 your transfer is tomorrow right? Or is it today? (Are any clinics open today??) regardless it’ll go great! Arrive with a full bladder and that’s pretty much the only universal advice 😂 lie still, get up, take time off, do what you normally would…common sense tells me that as little disruption (shaking!) of the uterus the better, but women manage to get pregnant without realising all the time so honestly I’m not sure what to believe.

@Jampot36 let us know how poas goes x

Hi @Yoga817 😊 9 sounds promising! I only had 5 eggs out, that turned out 3 blastocysts. Are there only follicles on the right side?

Jampot36 · 18/04/2022 09:01

Sorry if this is triggering for anyone

Autumn245 · 18/04/2022 09:48

@Jampot36 HUGE Congratulations!! 🎉 so happy for you! 😊 how are you feeling?

Jampot36 · 18/04/2022 09:53

@Autumn245 thank you!
Still shocked i think, its our first round so didn't expect it to work. My only pregnancy ended at 7 weeks so I'm excited but also terrified and trying to not get too hopeful.

Could stop progesterone today but had 3 left so decided to still do them as it can only help.

Autumn245 · 18/04/2022 09:57

@Jampot36 it's only normal to feel a bit cautious, when do you get a first scan? Will your clinic give you more progesterone for the coming weeks? I was given enough for up until OTD then was told if I were to get a positive test they would give me enough for another 3 weeks to take me up to first scan.

AliceAbsolum · 18/04/2022 10:05

Congratulations!! Great news. How come you could stop progesterone today?

I hear you on the fear and trying not to get too hopeful. I fail on both counts more and more as time goes on.

SamTTC · 18/04/2022 10:11

That’s wonderful news @Jampot36! Congratulations 😊

Jampot36 · 18/04/2022 10:16

@Autumn245 @AliceAbsolum they only say to take it up to test day. I have 3 more left so going to keep on with them. I'll call tomorrow as closed for bank hols. I guess maybe no more because I'm unexplained infertility so they maybe dont have a reason to keep me on them? I didn't question it tbh.

First scan will be at 7 weeks. Will find out tomorrow if there's anything in between but didn't think to ask after ET.

PMAmostofthetime · 18/04/2022 10:20

@Jampot36 Congratulations, wonderful news.

How are you feeling? Have you rung the clinic? Mine said it it was positive I needed more progesterone.

@SamTTC I get the birthday thing I was like that when trying before IVF, now I'm the same as you who cares. It'll be special whatever day it's your birthday.

X

Jampot36 · 18/04/2022 10:29

@PMAmostofthetime disbelief! I'm good thanks, excited but cautious and nervous. Clinic are closed today for bank hols so will call them tomorrow. They said after test day i could stop so maybe everyone is different. X
