@AliceAbsolum that worked out very well- hoping tomorrow goes really well and when it does and your looking to head somewhere after 3 weeks in the UK, head to the Pembrokeshire coast- beautiful in April/ May time Barafundel Bay is beautiful and usually warm but very quiet.

If I get a BFN I'll be doing Early June I think.

Thanks- I have started watching some of the early Van life blogs when you were converting, but not caught the name yet.

7dp and they have been agonising days- I was originally going to test on 10dp which would be Saturday but because they were not developed blasts going in, they can implant late so going to wait to OTD as very scared if getting a CP.

OH half has hidden the tests too I ordered some extra FRER off Amazon ( they are on offer for anyone that needs some) Alexa grassed me up and he intercepted those too 😂🤣.
He knows I won't buy them anywhere else because no one knows.

I have to travel for work today and he did ask me if I had bought any but I hadn't as I have the Amazon delivery coming 🤣😂.
In his defence I told him on the way to ET to stop me testing early- he doing a good job x

Nutrinerd · 06/04/2022 22:26

@PMAmostofthetime can’t believe Alexa grassed you up! I’m so glad ours is unplugged in a box somewhere. DH does like to open my Amazon parcels hoping it’s something for him but managed to build myself a good stash of them!

@Boofimus I’m sorry you’ve had a tough day, hope you’re both as well as can be expected this evening. There are so many potential twists and turns in this whole process, I find the uncertainty so difficult.

Nausea was awful last night/this morning, but then seems much better this evening which is making me more nervous. Argh!

PMAmostofthetime · 06/04/2022 22:47

@Nutrinerd what time are you planning on testing? Wishing you the best of luck- I hope you and @AliceAbsolum get some sleep tonight.

X

Hi all,

Been reading through this thread (plus generally lurking for a while!) and thought I’d join for some company if that’s ok. We are currently in the 2ww after a day 3 transfer at the weekend. This was our first round of IVF (our only NHS funded round) after 6 miscarriages. Had all the miscarriage tests which came back normal then we decided to have my husband tested before the IVF. Comet test came back as high DNA fragmentation with reduced count so ICSI was advised. 5 eggs collected, and all 5 were mature and fertilised which made us quite hopeful. Unfortunately 4 weren’t progressing well by day 3 so they recommended we do a fresh day 3 transfer with the remaining embryo - this was described as top quality. We had hoped to do PGT-A testing given the miscarriage history however unfortunately we were informed today (day 6 update) that none had progressed to blastocyst stage. So quite literally have all our eggs (egg) in one basket uterus!

Best of luck to all those testing and having collections and transfers in the coming days. Hate the 2ww but I’m relieved the stress of the last few days is over - waiting for the embryologist update calls has been the worst part of the process for me. Will be taking up some of your distraction techniques - any others gratefully received!

So today is going to be fun, been up since 4 and can't get back to sleep 🥴 really struggling with doing the progesterone jabs etc this round, we have to get up early (5.30) to get it all done before DS wakes up, and if I wake up anywhere near that time I can't get back to sleep again..

@Nutrinerd same, I was mildly nauseous on Tuesday afternoon/eve but I don't think I was nauseous yesterday. I'm not sure if I was extra nauseous Tuesday because I had extra progesterone in my system (I have an intermuscular jab 3x per week). Also do you feel more nauseous when tired? For me, at the early stages of pregnancy I find it hard to distinguish between nausea and tiredness as it feels similar. I wasn't so tired yesterday but guessing today will be a different story!

Welcome @Soleste wishing you a speedy 2ww!

@AliceAbsolum congratulations that's amazing! 🎉 so happy for you.
How are you feeling?

Welcome @Soleste good luck in your 2ww- mine were slow developers too fingers crossed they prefer being inside us rather than out and are settled in nicely.

@Herewegoagain881that sounds tough, progesterone makes me really tired anyway, so getting up at 5:30 would wipe me out.

Nutrinerd · 07/04/2022 07:09

@AliceAbsolum Congratulations!!!! 🥳🥳 Amazing news, so happy for you both! Looking forward to the next vlog instalment just to see the happy faces! FlowersGrin

BlueSilver23 · 07/04/2022 07:54

Welcome @Soleste Best of luck for the next two weeks!

AliceAbsolum · 07/04/2022 07:54

Thanks ladies :)

2 embryos @Gigi89x No glue or scratch. I had steroids, intralipids, hcg injection on a FET, antibiotics, blood thinners.

Feeling OK. The relief and elation was immense. Not like last time. There was a real desperation to it last time. DH was in ICU for a week when he was younger and when we got the call saying he was out of the woods and being moved onto a ward I broke down in tears, and last time felt more like that in a way. This time it's lighter, more relaxed.

So glad we filmed it. Cant wait to watch it back. @PMAmostofthetime DH did the intro but I said the vans name after the result :)
Thanks for the Pembrokeshire recommendation, deffo up for that.

How's everyone doing?

@AliceAbsolum can't wait to watch Sunday :) so very pleased for you :) that line is very dark! I expect your thinking is it 1 or 2 now? You need a bigger Van.

I've just put a reminder on for 3pm.

Safe journey home today.

I'm ok just wishing my life away as usual just today and tomorrow in work and then I'm off for 10 days, not sure if that's a good or bad thing atm.

Somatronic · 07/04/2022 08:42

Oh my goodness @AliceAbsolum congratulations! I think we all knew……but were too cautious to hope! I’m so happy for you 🤗 are you having a blood test done?

Weswoo · 07/04/2022 09:22

Hi @AliceAbsolum former TMI buddy here just jumping on to say congratulations! Have been quietly lurking with everything crossed for you and very pleased to see this news xx

TommieNC · 07/04/2022 09:39

@AliceAbsolum Wow, that is amazing!! Congratulations!!

Jampot36 · 07/04/2022 09:57

We had our call this morning. We still have 2 embryos. One is rating 7 and the other 8 and good quality.
All being well transfer saturday. 🤞🤞🤞

Jampot36 · 07/04/2022 09:59

@AliceAbsolum congratulations!!!!! How are you feeling? X

ginandtonicformeplease · 07/04/2022 10:52

@AliceAbsolum Congratulations! Bet you've never been so glad to be nauseous

@Herewegoagain881 DD is a ridiculously early riser, 5am most days - there's not a chance I can get all the pessaries and injections done before that. Instead I do it all after I've dropped her off at nursery before I sit down at my desk.

The big box of meds to see me through to 12 weeks has arrived. Thank God for 0% credit cards is all I'll say!

AliceAbsolum · 07/04/2022 10:56

@Weswoo I remember :) Thanks for delurking and posting. Where you at now with all this?

@jampot36 2 is good. They're going strong. Keep the faith.
I'm feeling very relieved. Hopeful for the future whatever happens with this pregnancy. It shows last time wasn't a fluke and this crazy Turkish lady can get me pregnant, twice 😅

Struggling with other people saying unhelpful things. I think people think ivf has a 95% chance of working and when it does you're home free. But I let my guard down and started to let myself hope at 8 weeks and lost it at 8+3, so I just can't.
