@Jampot36 amazing news- when will transfer be?

@AliceAbsolum if I'm successful we are keeping quiet until as far as possible because of the unhelpful comments.
It's going to be so hard to enjoy any part of the pregnancy isn't it.

So pleased I found all of you who understand.

X

Jampot36 · 07/04/2022 11:47

@AliceAbsolum i think that's the difficult balance when you've experienced a loss. Trying to remain hopeful but i dont think its possible to fully relax. One day at a time and try to rest and chill when you can.

@PMAmostofthetime Saturday at 12. Apparently it doesn't take long and my husband might be allowed in with me so that would be good.

Herewegoagain881 · 07/04/2022 12:01

@ginandtonicformeplease 5am 😴 My DS woke up before my first jab this morning (the one in my bum that needs both me and DH) but thankfully he waited until I was done!

I have a school based role but it's Easter hols so I'm wfh this week and on holiday next. I'm dreading going back in to school though as my commute is over an hour..so if my beta is ok and we get to the "waiting for a scan" stage I will have to get up even earlier to fit it all in all the meds before leaving for work 🙈

Herewegoagain881 · 07/04/2022 12:20

@AliceAbsolum I know exactly what you mean.. miscarriage after IVF is just devastating. I honestly don't think I started to relax last time until I hit about 20 weeks and even then I kind of was in denial and didn't want to buy anything until I neared my due date..

I ended up keeping my pregnancy very private as it was the only way I felt able to cope with it, only a small handful of friends (that knew I was doing ivf) knew I was pregnant in the first trimester, and I told others (including colleagues) well past 20 weeks. I didn't think I'd cope with others comments if I lost the pregnancy so rather they just didn't know! If this one progresses there's not a chance I'll be able to hide it for so long though as I no longer have working stomach muscles 😄

PMAmostofthetime · 07/04/2022 12:44

So is it possible for AF to show up on 800mg of Cyclogest a day 😭.

Looks like there will be no OTD for me.

It's definitely not implantation bleeding I've rigorously googled images since it started.

I'll wait a few hours and ring my clinic. Knew it was impossible but doesn't stop the hope. Also very worried that 800mg isn't enough and AF is not due until 13th x

LuckyNovember · 07/04/2022 13:08

@PMAmostofthetime that seems very early anyway, especially when taking progesterone... I'm sure you've googled it all, but some people do bleed in early pregnancy... I think they'll tell you to keep taking your meds until otd, but definitely see if they think the dose could/should be increased. What stress, you poor thing!

I'm also convinced mine hasn't worked... no symptoms at all... but you never know 🤷🏻‍♀️

ginandtonicformeplease · 07/04/2022 13:09

@PMAmostofthetime I'm so sorry to hear that Give the clinic a call and see what's what.

@AliceAbsolum @Herewegoagain881 We didn't tell anyone the first two times, where I got to 8+3 and 8+4, and I was so glad we didn't. With DD my parents guessed at ten weeks, then we didn't tell anyone else in the family until about 20, then colleagues a few weeks after that. I couldn't have coped with everyone knowing and offering sympathy. It was until DD got to the viable stage that i actually dared to start thinking about having a baby - then it only seemed five minutes until she turned up Grin

Weswoo · 07/04/2022 13:43

@AliceAbsolum I think the thread went quiet during my last FET which I was convinced would fail but I was wrong and it worked. I hear you about the nerves - my history was similar to yours and I remember the anxiety of those first few weeks well so my best advice is to just focus on one day at a time x

PMAmostofthetime · 07/04/2022 13:48

@LuckyNovember @ginandtonicformeplease

Thank you for replying sorry TMI/ I went from elated to see what I thought was implantation bleeding to hitting reality and realising it could be AF to checking again and my worst fears being co finedA waiting for a call back off the clinic.

This definitely feels worse after IVF. I wasn't prepared for this today - so I in working and I just want to go to sleep and see what happens in a few hours. I booked after tomorrow off- looks like I was a little too late x

SamTTC · 07/04/2022 13:55

Oh man @PMAmostofthetime let us know what the clinic says. Definitely seems way too early for AF, is it usually regular? I bleed on progesterone, but that’s just because AF arrives naturally. My clinic insists that it doesn’t mean the dose is too low. But this sounds like a different situation?

@AliceAbsolum I completely understand the caution. It’s great that you’ve gotten to this milestone and like you say it is a good indication for success if there is to be a next time - crossing everything that this one sticks though, really cautiously happy for you :)

Great news @Jampot36 :)

Herewegoagain881 · 07/04/2022 14:23

@PMAmostofthetime sending you lots of hugs, I hope the clinic can give some clarity on what to do next. I spotted on progesterone before but I can't remember how long before test date..

@ginandtonicformeplease yes it was the sympathy I couldn't handle..a few people at work knew I was pregnant/miscarried in my old job because I had to tell them for risk assessment reasons. They were so unbelievably sweet but it just made me cry! I found the sympathy just brought the emotions back to the surface..much prefer burying my feelings until I'm in a safe space to let them out!

wegotthis100 · 07/04/2022 15:49

@AliceAbsolum

Look at that dye stealing line Grin
Massive congratulations!! This was so wonderful to read this morning Smile
PMAmostofthetime · 07/04/2022 16:05

Called the clinics they just advised to continue with pessaries and test on OTD. Cramps and pulling around my belly button getting worse now.
Seems pointless but I'll do as I'm told.

Also really annoyed on transfer day we had one more slow growing embryo was told that they would monitor it in the lap for another day to see if it would continue to grow.
Asked about it today to be told it was dis guarded after my transfer!
Asked what my AMH is- they have never done a test!

😡

PMAmostofthetime · 07/04/2022 16:06

@AliceAbsolum sorry for my moaning! I am still super excited for you :) on this special day x

Steph2345 · 07/04/2022 16:17

@PMAmostofthetime I’m so sorry hear this! Hopefully the clinic are right and you’ll have better news next week. Glad you have some time off tomorrow to look after yourself.

@AliceAbsolum amazing news today!! Congratulations 🥳

PMAmostofthetime · 07/04/2022 16:19

@Steph2345 Thanks- I'm working tomorrow but then off for 10 days.

How are you feeling?

Thinking of testing early?

X

Suki2020 · 07/04/2022 16:21

@AliceAbsolum congratulations, that’s amazing news, so happy for you.

@PMAmostofthetime I’m sorry to hear that, hope you get some better news next week.

Steph2345 · 07/04/2022 16:23

@PMAmostofthetime I’m not having the week I thought I would to be honest. I’m in hospital with OHSS so in a lot of pain. I’m kind of just assuming this time isn’t going to be our time but deep down hoping for a nice surprise.
Have you got plans for your days off? Xx

HJen22 · 07/04/2022 16:23

Oh @PMAmostofthetime I'm so sorry 😢 what an upsetting day for you. Glad the clinic got back to you and said continue with the pessaries and hopefully it's not AF arriving. I really hope not and things turn around for you! It's good you have some days off after tomorrow to rest. Thinking of you x

@AliceAbsolum safe journey home today. I'm so extremely glad that you're leaving Cyprus with such happy news x

Suki2020 · 07/04/2022 17:05

@Steph2345 oh no sorry to hear you are in hospital. What do they do for OHSS?

Jampot36 · 07/04/2022 17:43

@PMAmostofthetime so sorry this sounds so stressful. Hopefully its not AF and will be keeping everything crossed for you. Hope you can get some rest this evening.

AliceAbsolum · 07/04/2022 18:25

Oh goodness, what an up and down day for the thread.
@PMAmostofthetime Don't apologize! I'd be feeling a lot of things if I was you right now. Is it spotting or bleeding? God ivf is so hard :(

@Steph2345 Sorry to hear that, are you being well looked after? Do you know how long you have to stay in for?

We've arrived back in the UK. It's cold!

HJen22 · 07/04/2022 19:04

@Steph2345 so sorry I missed your message! You poor thing, I'm sorry you're in hospital. How are you feeling? I hope they are taking good care of you xxx

PMAmostofthetime · 07/04/2022 19:05

@Steph2345 sorry your unwell, hope you will feel better soon. OHSS gets worse during pregnancy so could be a good sign 🤞🏼.
I have a few days out planned some shopping trips and some food out- but regretting those plans now.

@HJen22 Thank you but I'm definitely out- sorry for TMI but when I inserted my pessary I can feel that my cervix has dropped ( I didn't know what I could feel but google told me) just frustrated that the clinic want me to continue until Wed now.

I have to have this AF then another before the next cycle so i worked out mid June.

Any of you ladies that has had the unfortunate period after IVF shed any light as to whether this will be any different to a usual AF?

@AliceAbsolum it's spotting atm but my periods are very light and as above cervix is now really low and the cramps have gotten worse.

Are you back in the UK now?

X

PMAmostofthetime · 07/04/2022 19:06

@AliceAbsolum just realised you said you are back in the UK as you can tell I'm not entirely with it right now. X
