@NaomiNatNat sorry I forgot to say ouh that's won't be trigger still surely not. It must be the natural egg as opposed to your transfer . Do you think ?

Have a good weekend everyone .

I'm going to clock off for the weekend xx

@Justawannabemam Giving it a few more days before I get excited, will know for sure then. Have a great weekend lovely! 💕

tulipsandsnow · 19/02/2022 10:15

Thanks all, its not that I'm nervous, it's that anatomically the first two times the specullum was in (for an IUI and then a mock transfer), it pinches in a way that makes me instantly scream and I can't tolerate for more than a few seconds. For the IUI I made it through as was about 40 seconds but was crying in pain. For the mock cycle the whole point was to figure out what was going on and she readjusted it and then I was fine. For my actual first FET a different consultant knew of the issues and was super kind and didn't actually need to readjust. So I need a consultant that is taking it seriously and going to be patient/kind if he needs to readjust it as otherwise can't do the transfer if it does the pinch thing and can't get that resolved. The idea is to get it readjusted pretty much right away and in ok as intense pain during FET is not ideal as I'm sure it releases cortisol etc. Anyway fingers crossed that just because he's a director won't mean he's not nice!

Hi ladies, just a quick message, I’ve not posted much on the thread as have found the process all so overwhelming. Several of you wrote lovely messages of support to me when I was upset to only have 5 eggs retrieved a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve had the first ever BFP of my life this morning. Very emotional and not going to get too excited as it’s such early days, but I hope that this can also give some hope to those who have low retrieval numbers, and thank you for the words of comfort when I was in a low ebb. Flowers

NaomiNatNat · 19/02/2022 10:55

@GodspeedJune ❤ So happy for you!! ❤ what date was ET?

GodspeedJune · 19/02/2022 11:05

Thank you Naomi ET was the 9th Feb with a day 5. Today was my OTD and I didn’t test beforehand. Our clinic say to do another test in a weeks time.

womaninkent · 19/02/2022 12:12

Congratulations @GodspeedJune. Such wonderful news. Out of interest why does the clinic ask you to test again?

GodspeedJune · 19/02/2022 12:33

Thank you womaninkent they didn’t explain why we need to do a second test, but they don’t offer a HCG blood test so I guess it’s incase of a chemical pregnancy?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2022 14:29

A massive congratulations @GodspeedJune so pleased for you :)

xreadytoglow · 19/02/2022 14:55

@GodspeedJune what incredible news! Very uplifting for the rest of us. I wish you a happy healthy pregnancy for the next 9 months 🤍

foodiefil · 19/02/2022 15:10

Amazing news @GodspeedJune I’m so happy for you ❤️❤️ Enjoy this time, I know you will be nervous but I worrying won’t change anything so enjoy it!

Had our ET. Feel so deflated though.
One poor and one average embryo on board. They were the two that were “good” on Thursday.

GodspeedJune · 19/02/2022 15:34

Thank you so much @ExhaustedPigeon1988
Smile
Thanks also for your advice a few weeks ago to push BH for an early scan. They upped my meds at that scan so was definitely worthwhile.

Thank you @xreadytoglow and best of luck with your journey. Flowers

Thank you @foodiefil for your good wishes and also the great advice. I’m incredibly nervous but you’re absolutely right - worrying the time away won’t change the outcome.

I’m sorry the grading wasn’t as high as before but I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you and there’s every chance at least one will stick. The clinic wouldn’t transfer anything that they thought there wasn’t hope of it working. You’ve done everything you can now so take it easy and be gentle with yourself.

xreadytoglow · 19/02/2022 15:44

@foodiefil forget those things, you're still in with a good chance. There's been so many stories I've read on here with a positive result with 'average' or 'poor' embryos.. it could still be you. 🤞🏼 Keep us updated with how you feel over the coming days.

ET for me tomorrow. I had my pineapple this morning! Gonna throw everything at it 😂

xreadytoglow · 19/02/2022 15:46

Also @NaomiNatNat that's so exciting. I hope it stays positive 🤞🏼 keep us updated with your tests. It all sounds very promising.

NaomiNatNat · 19/02/2022 15:51

@foodiefil Still better than nothing at all. They wouldn't do the transfer if they thought there was no chance. Keep faith and stay positive 💕🤞

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/02/2022 16:35

@GodspeedJune I'm so pleased they listened to you! Just goes to show you defo need to chase them, as I feel they treat everyone the same, instead of looking at our individual circumstances. I am so pleased for you, and hope this is a happy and healthy 9 months for you both :) x

NaomiNatNat · 19/02/2022 16:41

@xreadytoglow Best of luck for tomorrow and may they be sticky Smile
My doc said it might be the trigger shot giving the positives still.

tulipsandsnow · 19/02/2022 16:41

Congrats @GodspeedJune! Love hearing about BFPs!

So in the end I didn't even have the director for my transfer today! Two different staff earlier in week had said it was him working this weekend, but actually when I got there it was another (male) consultant who I knew of from reading about him but had never met. His bedside manner couldn't have been better. He did have to readjust the speculum, overall it took longer as he took longer cleaning cervix etc than my last FET, but got there in the end. Now the waiting begins- its utter torture! I'll do a first test Wednesday, which feels 2 years away.

crazycatlady1981 · 19/02/2022 16:50

@TTCinmy40s so sorry to hear about your bfn, sending big hugs 💕 I wouldn't recommend my clinic but my friend had a really good experience at Salisbury if that’s anywhere near you. I wish I’d switched clinics myself and tried somewhere new but it just seemed easier to stay with the same clinic!

@GodspeedJune wow! Congratulation! That’s super exciting to have a bfp for first time! Wishing you all the best for the next 8 months! 💕

@foodiefil there’s still plenty of chance with lower grade embies! I’ve heard lots of positive stories about them! Fingers crossed for you!

@NaomiNatNat ooh that sounds exciting! Fingers crossed they stay positive!! 😀

@xreadytoglow good luck for your transfer tomorrow! I’m starting to get a bit nervous about it all now! What time you in? I’m at 9.30! x

crazycatlady1981 · 19/02/2022 16:53

@tulipsandsnow great to hear your transfer went well! I’m in for mine tomorrow if I’ve still got some embies left! 🤞🏻

xreadytoglow · 19/02/2022 16:57

@tulipsandsnow best of luck for a sticky emby! Glad it all went well and wasn't too painful for you.

@crazycatlady1981 aww good luck!!! It's not hit me yet I don't think... tomorrow it will for sure. You're before me so I hope it all goes smoothly! I'm in at 12pm

Bluehawaii29 · 19/02/2022 17:12

Great news to hear today from lots of you. Glad it’s going well
I’m a little worried that lining wasn’t the best thickness yesterday. Anyone else got any experience of taking a bit of time to get to 8mm after baseline scan? I’m currently on oestrogen 4 tablets a day now. I don’t know how much the increase is expected to be per day either. Also getting worried whether transfer will be painful during a FET as opposed to a fresh cycle where the egg collection has recently been done?

Cayandsimit · 19/02/2022 18:03

@GodspeedJune amazing news! Big congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉

Mochii · 19/02/2022 18:18

I can’t believe this but I used my last test today before just going out for a drink as my cramping had gone and I got a faint positive. The clinic told me I could stop my meds on Sunday and said sorry it hadn’t worked etc etc. It must have implanted late as it was a 6 day CC. I’m in shock! Just hope it darkens over the next few days

Bluehawaii29 · 19/02/2022 18:22

@Mochii woah that’s crazy! How many says has it been since your OTD? x
