It’s my embryo transfer tomorrow - my third one so you’d think I would know what to do by now but does anyone have any tips for what to do the day before ET?

I’ve got my egg socks ready and we’ll head to maccies after for fries but what about today? I’m off work so relaxing mostly x

@Mountaingoat31 and @Frenchiepupmama my scan is the 8th. Currently wishing away the days. I've joined the pregnancy after IVF group on here for chat about scans/symptoms etc!

@womaninkent 👍 FWIW, I don’t recommend the pregnancy after miscarriage thread which I looked at this morning and didn’t find uplifting!

Does progesterone make anyone else really tired? I can’t stop yawning I could just fall asleep 😴

Sorry this may be a silly question but if you get a BFN do you stop all the drugs? I thought you did but my clinic said to stop drugs and retest 7 days later. But if I've stopped the drugs isn't that really game over? Why test again to remind yourself

I just got the call from the clinic.. he said that we had 4 top quality, 2 good quality, 1 is at the right stage but dividing a bit unequally (but not concerned about it), and one is just slightly behind the rest. But he said all 8 are still in the running 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 over the moon.

@foodiefil I tried to do gentle yoga before ET to calm myself. No head stand or anything, just something soothing. Maybe you can also your partner or a family member to give you a nice massage ☺️ Good luck tomorrow! 🍀

Hi all, just had my scan. Luckily lining is still free of any polyps and no ovary cysts. They told me it’s 7mm so it’s not ready for transfer yet. They are going to up my dose of oestrogen tablets and introduce patches as well and then re scan next week. Not sure how I’m feeling about more oestrogen! 😭😭

Sorry no patches needed, just an extra tablet thankfully and next scan is weds. Hopefully will give me some time to rest and sort my back problem out 🤞🤞 just waiting to have chat with embryologist now for our 2 embryos and the glue x

@Bluehawaii29 what a nuisance for you. Hope the oestrogen isn't too much worse. I can't remember feeling particularly different when they doubled my dose last time. I think it's having the oestrogen not balanced out by other hormones which makes me feel rubbish not specifically the dose. Good luck with the embryologist.

@womaninkent yeah I’m desperate for them to introduce progesterone, I asked about that today as well but they said they can’t introduce it until the scan shows it’s ready for transfer so next week possibly. Just have to keep plodding along until then!

Has anyone had tests done previously to try and find out why they are having issues and can you recommend a private provider? I have only day day 2 and day 21 bloods, and a semen analysis for my partner. My clinic suggested a test to check for implantation failure but I’m not too sure exactly what this is and they won’t tell me more until I speak to a doctor next week. I’m changing clinics and not going back to IVF so looking for testing recommendations if anyone can help!

@foodiefil I’ve started drinking Pom juice again for my lining and eating pineapple on an empty stomach for about 4-5 days! I have Brazil nuts with my breakfast everyday anyway as they are supposed to do something! And have told DH that we have to go and eat fries on Sunday after transfer!! 😬 Keeping on with my Vit D, Vit C, Prenatals and fish oils too!

@Bluehawaii29 that’s good that you have some extra time to recover and everything is looking healthy!

@IE00 how many days past transfer are you? I don’t know why they would give an OTD and then get you to test again anyway. Yeah it seems silly to stop the drugs if they think you could still get a BFP!

@crazycatlady1981 I know it's insane. I'm 11dp5dt. I'll still take the drugs and test again on Sunday using FRER and not the clinics one. If it's still negative I'm going to call it a day as it would have been almost two weeks. Has anyone heard of any stories of anyone's fate changing so late in the game??

@Mochii I think that might be the ERA test, I was looking at those myself because I’m a bit concerned I might have an implantation issue having had two fails of good quality embryos so far and never had a whiff of a BFP ever in nearly 5 years! I think it was around £1000 at my clinic for ERA. There’s also Emma and Alice tests but I can’t remember what they are for!

That's good news @Bluehawaii29 at least now they can adjust your meds and get a really good lining next time. And you have time to rest your back! Hope the increased oestrogen doesn't give you too many more symptoms.
