@Justawannabemam I had loooooads of that and it just means stims are working and your oestrogen is high as it should be. Nurse said nothing to worry about. Are you taking fyremedal or similar from today to stop LH surge?

Justawannabemam · 01/02/2022 10:13

No im still.on overleap til Friday

WhiteLily86 · 01/02/2022 11:00

Morning all, I couldn't find the new thread so posting so I stay on it! @hjen22 was also on last thread so tagging to keep my AFC buddy on here.

Sorry about the negatives for some of you ladies but good news about the treatment going ahead if DH is positive. Sounds like they have taken a sensible approach and hopefully you continue to test neg for covid.

I had first injection of cetrotide last night - that was a confusing one! Far too many bits to it and had to read the instructions about 20 times! Feeling ok so far on both injections.

Still nervous about the EC though. I asked at last appointment and they said they definitely do not do general anaesthetic at Aberdeen, it's not even an option. You get a sedative and some type of morphine for the pain but will be awake throughout the whole thing. Just wondering when everyone has said they had a 'great sleep' I assume you have all had general anaesthetic rather than just a sedative? Has anyone done it without GA and was it ok? This is the main bit I am really nervous about.

Mountaingoat31 · 01/02/2022 11:04

The sedative sent me into a deep sleep @WhiteLily86 - I was aware of nothing. GA is apparently a deeper state of unconsciousness.

PcosSOS · 01/02/2022 11:25

@Justawannabemam give the clinic a call if you’re worried xx

HJen22 · 01/02/2022 11:41

@WhiteLily86 thank you for the tag ❤️ how are you getting on? Where in your treatment are you? I'm just patiently waiting for my schedule to be sent and start norethisterone on 15th Feb so a bit behind most of yous.

I'm so sorry for those of you who have had unsuccessful cycles 😞 I hope you ladies are doing ok, I know it cannot be easy at all, sending hugs x

Also sorry to hear about your DH testing positive @Hopeful199 I'm so glad they are still going ahead. Covid has been such a worry of mine too the closer I get to starting treatment. It's just not an added stress anyone needs is it!

Justawannabemam · 01/02/2022 12:40

@PcosSOS I've read it's normal. If they were concerned they would have spotted something yesterday. My foliciles aren't ready yet

Sydney1986x · 01/02/2022 12:42

@Hopeful199 so pleased your clinic have been flexible and your cycle isn’t cancelled! Brilliant news!!

@NaomiNatNat I had tiredness, mood swings and extreme bloating- I bit like PMT really maybe worse. Crazy amount of CM which freaked me out but understood later that’s a sign things are working as they should.

@Dobcaty that’s so cool about the Chinese New Year meanings!! All of us in here are courageous and strong! This journey is not for the faint hearted!!!!

Little update from the clinic… all 7 eggs have fertilised and looking good on day 1! Is this good or normal? We are really pleased. My GP also called me yesterday evening as requested to offer me a quicker smear tomorrow at 9:30am so hopefully the delay to finish this cycle won’t be too long now x

Gracie2021 · 01/02/2022 12:45

So sorry for those of you that had bad news recently, just found and catching up on the new thread now and see so much heartache. Hope you're all looking after yourselves and have support around you xx

@Hopeful199 I'm so sorry about the stress but so glad you can go ahead with the cycle. If it's helps reassure you it's ur clinic isn't doing any in person samples and instead we've been told just have it in the clinic within two hours of being produced. So definitely is a viable option and hopefully all will go smoothly for you.

@NaomiNatNat I'm on day 4 of stims here and just starting to get symptoms now. Mainly massive bloating which is quite reassuring as they could only find two follicles at my baseline scan and I have lower AMH so reassuring to know something is happening. That said I read that tons of people have no symptoms at all and yet can have oodles of eggs so seems to just be a very individual thing.

@Dobcaty love the positively and definitely good signs for the year ahead xx

@WhiteLily86 I'm starting cetrotide at morrow morning and definitely a bit nervous. My OH isn't there in the morning to keep the puppy company so will be interesting juggling it all and have heard it can be a stinger.

Gracie2021 · 01/02/2022 12:47

Great news about your day 1 update @Sydney1986x grow little embryos grow!

PcosSOS · 01/02/2022 13:15

@Justawannabemam Yeah i think it's totally normal, I honestly had loads. xx

Yognog1 · 01/02/2022 13:45

@thislittlebird how are you finding it? Is this your first cycle ? It is mine so it’s all quite new to me but the first injection went well last night. When is your first scan?

Not sure if anyone has any insight into this but the nurse told me to stop exercising, and only go for a brisk walk during stims apparently running is too strenuous.
I’d not heard this before so now I’m paranoid to do any exercise even though I feel fine at the moment. Has anyone exercised during stims? I’m only on day 1 so maybe I’m being too optimistic and I will start to feel worse but interested to hear from others.

womaninkent · 01/02/2022 13:48

Thanks @Dobcaty, that's just what I needed to hear this morning.
Sounds good @Sydney1986x, got my fingers crossed for them.

Gracie2021 · 01/02/2022 14:02

@Yognog1 I've been told the same so trying to not exert myself too much and only walks and stopping with the jogging. Apparently it's due to risk of ovarian torsion as your ovaries get bigger on the stims.

Bluehawaii29 · 01/02/2022 14:18

Thanks @Dobcaty let’s do this everyone!
Finally feb is here and due to start FET in a couple of weeks! Have a check up scan tomorrow so fingers crossed everything is still looking ok. How is everyone doing? x

Justawannabemam · 01/02/2022 14:34

I've exercised today . I feel more tired than anything else so I think it will be walks for me now too.

Mochii · 01/02/2022 15:39

I’m exhausted today, I’m tempted to go to bed early. I’m starting to get more nervous as I know the transfer is probably next week. It felt so far off before! I just want this cycle over with now

Cayandsimit · 01/02/2022 15:40

Hi everyone,
I just got a call from the doctor. I have to inject Gonal F tonight to stimulate the follicle growth. I had a scan yesterday and today. Uterus lining was 6mm yesterday and there were two 13mm follicles on each side.
Today lining was 7.4 mm and had 3 layer pattern but follicles are still 13 mm 😞 I always used Pergoveris in my fresh cycles and worked quite well for me. Gonal F is totally new territory. I guess she prescribed it because it is much cheaper. We don't need the eggs for FET anyways...
Today is CD17. Blood works showing normal level of estrogen and FSH. However, LH is higher for follicular phase. She was scared that I would ovulate prematurely 😭 I will go for another scan tomorrow. I never had this problem before. I am afraid Letrozole had an adverse effect on my cycle.
I wished for a natural FET and look where I am right now...

Yognog1 · 01/02/2022 17:08

Thanks @Gracie2021 I’ve been for a walk and feeling exhausted which is unusual for me so I think I’ll take it easy.

Gracie2021 · 01/02/2022 17:20

@Mochii you've just made me realise my egg collection is probably next week too. For some reason it was very far away in my head until put like that 😂🙈

@Yognog1 exhausted here today for some reason. Don't want to put every little symptom down to the meds cause maybe it's just the end of a busy January tiredness but wow I'm wiped.

@Cayandsimit I don't really understand the natural cycles too well but really hope it all works out for you. Was she happy with your lining? 7.4 triple sounds good.

womaninkent · 01/02/2022 17:21

@Cayandsimit I think I used gonal f for my fresh cycle. I don't remember any problem with it. Is the issue with ovulation to do with the lining being receptive because on my FET cycles the drugs have stopped me ovulating at all. That was one of the things the doctor checked in the scan last week.

thislittlebird · 01/02/2022 17:32

@Yognog1 yeah, we’re on day 4 of gonal f today and I’m fine but I have developed a not insignificant bout of thrush Hmm. I have heard stims can do this and I’m prone to it anyway, not shocked. Will treat it as normal assuming there’s no reason not to. It is our first cycle and I’m not sure when my first scan is. Blood test early tomorrow to decide whether to up my meds. When is your scan?

I feel fine but like @Gracie2021 I’m not doing strenuous exercise. I have high AMH/AFC and don’t want to do anything much beyond walking during the process. Maybe some yoga, stuff like that. I went for a walk today while the sun was still out and I was definitely aware of my ovaries while I was walking. Not sure I’d enjoy jumping or running.

I don’t feel especially tired or bad other than the thrush thing, I’m expecting I’ll feel a bit more shit as the days of stims pass.

Cayandsimit · 01/02/2022 18:03

@Gracie2021 Doctor is happy with 7.4mm (pre-ovulation). The issue is that the follicles are growing very slowly and LH surge is premature... I supposed to see at least one follicle being 17-18mm at this point and then trigger. The clinic was concerned that I would ovulate prematurely and then they cannot keep track of the timing for the ET. That is why I am going there every day for scan and blood work.

@womaninkent which drugs stopped you from ovulating? Was it Letrozole or Clomid?

To be honest how I feel right now is similar to how I felt in my first fresh ICSI cycle. Everything is completely new and also unsynchronized. I think @NaomiNatNat wrote this few hours ago while I was thinking exactly the same: "I wish I had an ultrasound machine at home so I can see if the follicles are growing" 😅

womaninkent · 01/02/2022 18:26

@Cayandsimit the high dose of oestrogen stops any follicles developing in the cycle I think. If you ovulated couldn't they just bring ET forward? I think my clinic looks for over 8mm for transfer but in the successful round it was 7.9mm and by coincidence it was exactly the same in the unsuccessful round-I had a look to see what evidence there was and the only paper I could find on dr Google was looking at linings over 7mm.

Cayandsimit · 01/02/2022 19:01

@womaninkent I didn't get any estrogen medication. Blood work also shows that estrogen is within the normal range for follicular phase. Right now it is 7.4, hopefully after ovulation it will be above 8. I hope Gonal f will manage to sync everything again
