@Cayandsimit I'm so sorry you're feeling like this. This time last week I was crying at my desk and googling the cost of fresh cycles because I was so sure AF was on its way. It's so tough.

xreadytoglow · 17/02/2022 13:50

@W1ngingit congratulations on being PUPO! 🥳 They sound like good grades to me. Higher the number from 1-6 the better. Same with the letters, A being highest. So you transferred in two today?
I've told myself only to test on 9dp5dt (9 days after). I think that's a good time to see a positive without waiting the full 12 days as advised by my clinic. Best of luck to you.

xreadytoglow · 17/02/2022 13:50

@Appleby11 it's a very good sign! It means they've thawed well and are beginning to develop as they would do naturally. Congratulations for you being PUPO later on! How exciting.

foodiefil · 17/02/2022 14:14

@Appleby11 I haven’t ever had a frostie but maybe they’re telling you about the condition it was in before it was frozen and they’re referring back to that? That sounds really positive though. I don’t think it means it’s divided when it’s been frozen. Unless they defrost it and then watch it to see if it develops anymore? I’m not sure tbh but think it sounds good.

Welcome @W1ngingit xxx

W1ngingit · 17/02/2022 14:38

@xreadytoglow Thanks! Yes, transferred two. Now thinking that this decision was a bit rash, but due to turning 38 in a few weeks our consultant said it was fairly common. Have you had your ET yet? Best of luck!

@foodiefil thank you!

xreadytoglow · 17/02/2022 14:55

@W1ngingit I've seen a few other people talking on here about having two transferred due to age so yes I think it's fairly standard! Better to be safe than sorry. You may even end up with two for the price of one!! 🥰

Not yet, all being well it'll be on Sunday. I have my day 3 update tomorrow to find out how the embryos are doing. 🤞🏼

crazycatlady1981 · 17/02/2022 15:58

Did anyone test out their trigger on here? I triggered last Sunday, so less than 4 days ago and I thought I’d see how strong it was on a test and it was barely a squinter already! I thought it would still be quite strong! Can’t even get a positive when I’ve injected hcg into myself!! 🤣🤣

xreadytoglow · 17/02/2022 16:23

Starting to feel a bit panicky..

I've had a stabby sharp pain on and off on my left side ever since my scan before EC. I've noticed today it's gotten a bit more painful, especially when going for a wee. I hope to god this isn't OHSS cus I've read on here they won't transfer if it is .. is that true? 😩
Did anyone else experience this and did it go away? My EC was on Tuesday.

NaomiNatNat · 17/02/2022 16:27

@crazycatlady1981 Triggered weds week before and have a positive test 🥲 everyone is different

Justawannabemam · 17/02/2022 16:34

@crazycatlady1981 I tested with a digital and it confirmed pregnant. Obviously I'm not it was 6 days after trigger.

Justawannabemam · 17/02/2022 16:36

Here's my post trigger

crazycatlady1981 · 17/02/2022 16:44

@NaomiNatNat @Justawannabemam thanks! Yeah I guess it varies from person to person! I only used a cheapie test so maybe would be stronger on a digital! 🤔

@xreadytoglow I had some pain and discomfort on my left side after EC, but I think it was bowel related as the EC seemed to really mess up my digestive system. I also felt a bit strained when I went for a wee after EC and yesterday but it’s cleared up now. Are you still drinking plenty of fluids and eating lots of protein? If it gets worse, maybe phone clinic tomorrow and check. x

crazycatlady1981 · 17/02/2022 16:48

@Justawannabemam thanks for the photos! Mine looks a bit like your day 7 one!

xreadytoglow · 17/02/2022 16:50

@crazycatlady1981 this definitely feels more ovary related as it feels the same as the ovulation pain I get (although that's milder). They're calling me tomorrow to check how I'm doing but I'm nervous that they will cancel the transfer if they suspect it's an OHSS symptom..

Yes still drinking plenty and getting in protein. I'm drinking even more now in the hopes it dies down.

Bluehawaii29 · 17/02/2022 16:50

Had to take rest of afternoon off because my back pain got too bad to carry on. Ivf nurse says she hasn’t heard the tablets causing this. Not sure what’s going on or how I’m even going to be able to lie down for the scan tomorrow Confused

Justawannabemam · 17/02/2022 17:00

Will maybe depends what dose you had. I think I had 10,000 does that sound right.?
Least you know its gone and any positive from now on will be a BFP x @crazycatlady1981

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 17/02/2022 17:01

@Bluehawaii29 is this oestrogen tablets sorry? I have had awful pain in my joints since starting them, my right leg is the worst, my hip and knee ache like crazy. The only thing that half helps is burning the hell out of them till they are numb with a hot water bottle x

Bluehawaii29 · 17/02/2022 17:04

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 yeah it’s oestrogen can you believe! That small tiny tablet is doing all this me I swear, I can’t believe the nurse just dismissed it saying she hasn’t heard any other people saying this. So glad to hear I’m not the only one who’s noticed this but yea I was bending down to lay some floor protection because we were having a new fridge delivered today and that was the last straw it looks like. Back has completely give way! 😭

thislittlebird · 17/02/2022 17:11

I hate oestrogen which is why I’m keen to avoid it for the FET if I can. I’m convinced it gives me migraines, and I’m not allowed the combined pill with oestrogen because I get hormonal migraines. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it can cause all sorts of bodily havoc.

Bluehawaii29 · 17/02/2022 17:31

@thislittlebird if I had known it would cause me this many issues I would have tried to ask for natural cycle as much as possible but my clinic said they rarely do natural cycles as it’s too tricky to get things timed and synchronised well. Oh well, I’m just resting now and off tomorrow due to scan so going to take it easy. Looking forward to a subway for lunch after the hospital appt and then will put my feet up rest of the day and weekend, no more outings for this month for me

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 17/02/2022 17:41

@Bluehawaii29 how much longer do you have on it? I start progesterone with it in 2 days, I'm hoping that's going to take the edge off. On my last cycle I had no side effects from it at all, which is why I am so surprised I feel so crap this time. Haven't even bothered to tell my clinic- they are crap! Stupid nurse had me in tears today because she is so insensitive :( (won't even blame hormones as I feel strangely rational atm lol) x

Appleby11 · 17/02/2022 17:53

@womaninkent @xreadytoglow @foodiefil thank you for answering my question! I'm sorry if it was a bit daft 😂 I genuinely thought the blastocyst would stay the same until it decided if it wanted to permanently move in for the next 9 months 😂 ET is all done and now it's pizza time!

Bluehawaii29 · 17/02/2022 17:57

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 exactly the same as me. I feel awful this cycle but had no side effects all through my fresh cycle. They told me FET would be easier?! Arghh I have potentially weeks left on this but I may start progesterone tomorrow if transfer is on weds next week so I too am hoping it will take the edge off. But if scan shows tomorrow I am ready then I am no longer sure I am ready physically for this, back and body is just killing me. Hubby just gone to get me deep heat patches. Nurse was just like use paracetamol only and I’d already taken a nuromol, I said to her but I’m not exactly pregnant yet but she was like well it’s safe still?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 17/02/2022 18:14

@Bluehawaii29 all paracetamol is ok, it's ibuprofen that isn't- it affects womb lining. I'm with you, honestly I am, but you will kick yourself if you don't do this... get multiple hot water bottles and have them as hot as you can bear. The nurses just don't care, it's not them suffering is it? X

Mochii · 17/02/2022 18:24

@crazycatlady1981 that’s hilarious 😂 I feel like that about covid tests, I’ve never had one of those come up as a surprise positive, I always know it will be negative as I just don’t get positives!! I tested it out on my fresh cycle and it was there for ages, pretty dark as well!
