October FET- Cycle buddies?

I started my stims on Wednesday as the beginning of my long protocol for my FET.

I am looking at end of October for my transfer 🤞🏻

I have PCOS and had ISCI for our treatment.
We have 4 blastocysts frozen!

Looking for any cycle buddies that are transferring around the same time 🙏

Ooh yes! I’m on a short protocol so will be taking meds from day 1 of cycle which should be mid Oct, then transfer late Oct/early Nov. It’s my 4th transfer and 3rd FET, our last try here before going abroad.
We also had ICSI and got three blasts, had a fresh transfer with the best one but it didn’t stick.
We are having both put back which is scary but hopefully it will work for us this time!!
What meds are you on?

I am so sorry to here that you have had 4 unsuccessful transfers previously. Fingers crossed that this is your time!!!!
I am currently taking buserelin, started that on day 21 of my cycle and have a baseline scan on 6th (this Wednesday). I'm a little anxious because I should have a bleed before it but it's not turning into a full flow.. I have brown/pink there when I wipe then sometimes nothing and has been that way for the last week- just want my body to behave 😂
How are you feeling about this time and particularly having two put back?

Hi @J2020m, I have a baseline scan on Thursday so our dates are almost the same! I also haven't had a bleed yet and I'm worried about it. I have longer cycles due to PCOS and my period isn't due until mid-October so I wonder if the buserelin is supposed to make it come sooner. Do you also have longer cycles? The nurse said everyone is different and that I should attend my scan in any case.

Oh wow we are close together aren't we!! I think we need a period so if you haven't had one by then they might tell you to take norethisterone? My spotting is still there but still no period xxx

Yes, or I might need to downregulate with buserelin for a little longer. Hope you get your AF in time for your scan!! xx

Yeah maybe! Do you think they will say the same to me? I'm having acupuncture today which I'm hoping helps bring a proper period. Have you had acupuncture at all? Xx

Maybe it depends on when your period would normally be due? Could be that your lining is thin enough since you've been spotting all week, who knows! I have read that some people start estrogen without having had a period if their lining is appropriate but if not they need to continue with the buserelin for another week or two. Hope acupuncture helps! I haven't tried it, I don't want any more needles for the time being :D

I'm made up because I went for my acupuncture and she put some needles around my uterus and I literally came on after I left- probably a complete coincidence but I'm happy it's happened. I'll be crossing my fingers for you that you get one before Thursday to make things more straight forward 😊
I don't blame you on the needle front, it's just that they don't bother me too much so thought why not!

Hi all I started buserelin recently only been a few days. My clinic has stopped using buserelin they only use oestrogen and progesterone. I tried without buserelin few months ago but it was a BFN I’ve only got 1 embryo left. Has anyone got day 6 embryos. I’ve had a successful fet few years ago which resulted in my lo need a sibling for my lo. Hope everyone’s well and baby dust to all x

I'm not sure but I'm sure mine were frozen on day 6 but their gradings weren't 6- I have a 5AB, 5BB and two 4ACs xx

What stage are you on at the mo? I’m going on day 30 for my bloods as my cycles are irregular dont. know what cycle I’m on it varies from 32-42 days. It’s day 7 on buserelin. Do you have to bleed whilst on buserelin? What if you don’t?

Hi all. Please can I join? I’m due for a FET next wed. This’ll be my third transfer - first two sadly were losses - one was an ectopic :( so I have fingers crossed this is third time lucky. Just took my trigger shot this evening!

Hey guys hope I can jump in. I am due to have my transfer next Wednesday but has been a long process. I started progynova on day 3 of my cycle and I'm now day 25! For some reason my lining hasn't been thick enough until now. It's annoying as I've never had an issue with lining but finally I have been given the go ahead to transfer. I'm a bit worried as it quite late in the cycle but the doctors don't seem worried but yeah I'm not to positive now. This will be my 2nd FET 4th transfer. 1st transfer ended in a missed miscarriage and the other 2 didn't stick so this time I will be putting 2 back in as it's our last NHS transfer.

@Alexm06 did you have buserelin on Ur Treatment alongside other meds? Which clinic u with? I’ve only got 1 embryo left. It’s a day 6 and I’m worried

@Sweet211 no just progynova then start cyclogest and lubion on Friday or Saturday.
I'm with Sussex downs. I don't think I've ever seen anyone on here at the same clinic as me haha. Oh I wouldn't worry I only got
1 embryo on my first cycle and that stuck but then failed but it still stuck! Then I've had 2 4AA transferred and they didn't work so I really would worry about it even some strong ones don't work out! Like a lot of people say on here it only takes one!!

@J2020m, how was your scan yesterday?

@Sweet211 If your cycles are 32-42 days you may need to stay on buserelin a little longer. I am the same and I haven't had a bleed after two weeks on buserelin. I had a scan today and was told to carry on for another week. I also had a blood test and I have just seen that my oestradiol levels are very high. I am waiting to hear from my clinic whether this changes anything. Buserelin just doesn't seem to be working for me :(

@Alexm06 looks like we have same day transfers :) and yeah infertility can go do one! Shame about your lining- Sod’s law, it’s like your body knows and decided to take its time just to add an extra thing to worry about. But I’m sure it being late in your cycle is nothing to worry about - my doc says main thing is taking progesterone for the 5 days pre transfer.

@Sweet211 I’ve heard day 6 embryos have just as much chance in a frozen cycle as day 5 embryos as you put them back in on day 5, instead of day 6 like you would a fresh cycle, and therefore they’re still in the right ‘window’ for implantation. :)

@LemonyT yeah it really does take its toll. I guess I just need to trust them but Googling doesn't help I can't seem to find many if any people transferring this late in the cycle. Yeah I've been told to start cyclogest and lubion say eve. Although it's not quite 5 days. When are you starting yours?

@Alexm06 I’m starting lutigest and lubion this afternoon/ eve too. I’m doing a natural cycle - so I had a trigger shot on Wed eve. Am a bit worried I might have ovulated a bit early yesterday (I felt pain and what felt like internal bloating on my lower right which is where my largest follicle was according to last scan). My transfer isn’t till late weds, so think I’m having a transfer almost on day 6 - and wondering if that’s a little late. With natural cycles you produce progesterone after you ovulate unlike medicated cycles - so there’s meant to be a ‘sweet spot’ in terms of timing. Just got to hope and pray that all the bits fall together nicely and the doctors know what they’re doing! I take it you’ve been taking oestrogen tablets? I had that last round but they didn’t react well with me so I decided to go natural this time. Fingers crossed for us both - I can imagine this is stressful if it’s your last funded cycle. We only had one round with NHS funding but unluckily it ended with only one day 3 embryo and a biochemical. We had funds to muster up another round ourselves which produced 6 embryos luckily. But no baby yet!

@LemonyT yeah I thought I would be starting today but yeah they said sat eve. I would be 4 days of it before transfer then 4.5 in the eve which I think is to early haha. My transfers at 2.30 so would only have had my morning cyclogest then.
Oh really I've only had medicated but yeah they know when to do it so I wouldn't worry.
Yeah I'm on progynova 4x a day now (it was 3). It really is postcode lottery with how many NHS attempts you get which bloody sucks. It's not fair on others! Ohhhh 6 is good I got 6 on my last fresh but used one with that then had FET and lost one in defrost so only have 3 left now. Hopefully this will be the cycle for all of us!

I was quite lucky as I actually had a natural bleed after my withdrawal bleed from my EC. So had my EC in July then a bleed 2 weeks later and then another period a month later so I started the protocol with this bleed!
I took buserelin (which im still taking) from day 21 of my cycle and got a bleed around 12 days later - a full bleed this is.. I was spotting from around day 7 - I went for acupuncture on day 12 so think this brought it on!
So my baseline scan was on Wednesday and they were really happy with how my lining had thinned! Someone called me on Thursday to say that I need to start my progynova on Sunday (3x a day) and keep taking my buserelin along side. I have a scan to check it's all working on 22nd and they've told me provisionally that my transfer will be 28th of this month!!!

@J2020m that’s brilliant I’ve got bloods on Tuesday I’ve got pinkish discharge I’ve not started the oestrogen tablets yet I have no idea until I get bloods done.

Hi all, can I join? I did my first egg retrieval cycle in August and got 19 blasts frozen. We had to do a FET because we needed genetic testing. My DH has a serious genetic condition that can cause death in childhood so we are doing PGD. 10 of our 19 were negative for the condition so full steam ahead! I’m taking oestrogen at the moment and looking at transfer in mid to late October. Keeping my fingers crossed! Is anyone feeling a bit nauseous on the meds? Lots of things are turning my stomach at the moment
