October FET- Cycle buddies?

I started my stims on Wednesday as the beginning of my long protocol for my FET.

I am looking at end of October for my transfer 🤞🏻

I have PCOS and had ISCI for our treatment.
We have 4 blastocysts frozen!

Looking for any cycle buddies that are transferring around the same time 🙏

@Azahar8 yes, it had mostly passed by late last night. Napped in the afternoon yesterday to manage to discomfort and not sure if that contributed to it but I couldn’t sleep last night. So exhausted today, but no headaches/migraines.

it did in the end, I’ve had a stressful couple of days with electrics going on the house, sick daughter and sleepless nights but the transfer went well!

It was a fully hatched blast - anyone know anything about a hatched blast? I’ve never heard of one.

@fetoct2021 ooh a fully hatched blast is a good thing! Fingers crossed 🤞 Glad it went well today. So many threads, I'm always forgetting whom I've said what to! 😂

Anyone know anything about a fully hatched blast? I had a FET yesterday and as it thawed during the day it started hatching and then fully hatched. My embryologist seemed really excited by this and said it was great, I should have just left it there but Ive been stupid and googled and have read conflicting things. Would love to hear any positive stories 😊

Thanks @LemonyT, the scan went well, lining is above 12 mm :) So transfer next week. I have been prescribed intramuscular progesterone though and I am dreading it

@fetoct2021 I'm no expert, but I've only heard good things. No guarantees of course, but hatching is the next stage of development so seeing it's already done that is thought to be a positive sign 🤞

I’ve heard about those progesterone shots. Ice pack before might help or you could ask for numbing cream?

Wow that’s such a great hcg, please keep us updated with your scan. It would be so interesting to hear if it’s multiples. Do you think it’s worth getting a hcg blood test? My clinic don’t do it, but I could do it privately

@FETOCT2021 It's CD16 and day 10 of estrogen (and week 5 of buserelin!) so I'm losing track of the days :D I read somewhere that ice packs shouldn't be used with IM progesterone but I'll check again. It's probably because the progesterone is in oil and cold can harden it. How are you feeling today? x

@FETOCT2021 hatching/ hatched blast is what you want! Apparently the further along the better as you know it’s a strong one! My blast was fully expanded and it’s given me a BFP. whereas last round even though they thawed it for 5 hours before my transfer, the blast only expanded 50%. So it’s good sign if the egg Re-expands and hatches!

I did the blood test because my last two transfers the hcg was low. And they wanted to be careful with me as I had an ectopic as well.

I’ve been using Lubion - is that what you mean by progesterone intramuscular shot? And I’ve been using ice every time to help! But tbh after a week you get used to it and it’s not so bad.

Hi @LemonyT, no, Lubion is subcutaneous and I think it's water based (so ice pack is fine). The intramuscular progesterone is administered in the butt with a much longer needle.

@Azahar8 oh I see, well this is and example of why one shouldn’t take medical advice off the internet 🤣🤣.

I’m ok, I’ve got a bit of a shitty cold but otherwise fine. Have a few twinges in my stomach but it’s probably just gas 🤣

Just leaving my transfer now and heading for McDonalds! I had pre and post acupuncture- I had a hatching 5AB embryo transferred and it all went quite smoothly.
Just wishful thinking now and lots of laughing for positive endorphins! Hope everyone is well!

@J2020m oh glad to hear it went well for you. How did you find the Accupuncture?
I had the same treatment and I couldn’t relax in the pre treatment as I really needed the toilet and post Accupuncture I just felt like I wanted to go home. Too much nervous excitement. Also my acupuncturist hit two nerves and it’s was uncomfortable, a couple of the needles were a bit painful too. Not sure I’d bother again. Although I did do Accupuncture in 2019 before I had my successful fresh transfer.
I had the McDonald’s fries too.

@Sweet211 do you not have a set transfer time? I thought they only call if the embryo doesn’t survive the thaw? I hope regardless things have moved forward!

@J2020m glad things went well - sounds like you had the ideal textbook embryo!
