I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

Hi so egg collection all done, and we got 12 eggs I'm a little disappointed but at least it's double figures! @CycleGirl20 yayy 17 is excellent !! You must be pleased !!

CycleGirl20 · 10/11/2021 15:08

@IVFGotThis05 12 is good! Apparently around 15 is the optimum so we're both in the ball park. You're more likely to have more mature eggs with 12. How are you feeling? I feel like I have a football in my stomach that is squishing my bladder and making things a bit sore.

SunshineAndScience · 10/11/2021 15:50

@CycleGirl20 and @IVFGotThis05 Those are brilliant numbers!! I got 4 eggs and still managed to somehow get two good enough to transfer so I'm sure you'll do grand! How exciting xxx

Justawannabemam · 10/11/2021 16:08

I've just had word back today confirmed that we have 2 more cycles approved on the NHS. We will probably have to wait a few months . Will know more in December. Good news for us .

Ivfnewbie1 · 10/11/2021 16:19

@Justawannabemam awww fab news!! How did you get them to approve that if you don’t mind me asking? We were only given 1 round for our area on the nhs x

CycleGirl20 · 10/11/2021 16:23

@SunshineAndScience that is good to hear! Fingers crossed for us both.

@Justawannabemam that's good news. Congratulations

Justawannabemam · 10/11/2021 16:42

My area (cumbria) allows 3 under 40

I have had appointments cancelled and waited for clinic referral. Once I got referred the wait for starting was doubled because they had cycles cancelled cos of Covid so then I tipped 40. I was 38 when I got referred .

It will obviously depend in how many your trust allows. But if your in the same situation me then get your GP to put it in on a IFR (individual funding request). I was only expecting 1 more but delighted we got 2 . Hopefully we only need one more.

SunshineAndScience · 10/11/2021 16:56

I caved. I've been feeling so anxious and down today that I just tested. BFN. I knew it would be. Don't want to tell my husband yet as a) feel guilty for testing without him and b) don't want to disappoint him. I know I'm only 9dpt but it would be a miracle if I'm gonna test positive in 72 hours!

Ivfnewbie1 · 10/11/2021 16:57

@Justawannabemam aww that’s amazing news! I can imagine how happy you are!! Good luck with this round 😊 x

MrsC2018 · 10/11/2021 17:11

@SunshineAndScience I'm sorry you've seen that BFN, it's just shit. I don't know what the chances are of a positive test by 9dp5dt - I'm just too scared to test early. But I imagine 9days is early pregnancy test wise and you should therefore check with FMU? You should prob tell your husband, if only to lean on him - it's so disappointing when you think it's failed 😢

Ivfnewbie1 · 10/11/2021 17:23

@SunshineAndScience awww hun it’s still early! There’s lots of stories and threads I’ve seen with this same situation and they test positive OTD…keep faith! Lean on your partner, take some of his positivity xxxxxxx

CycleGirl20 · 10/11/2021 17:30

@SunshineAndScience I'm really sorry to hear that. That sucks. It's really hard to hold out, especially when you're as long on the journey as us on this thread, so don't be hard on yourself for testing without your husband.

What kind of test was it?

Justawannabemam · 10/11/2021 17:49

@SunshineAndScience I done the same thing and felt guilty because it was positive and I hadnt waited for him. Dont be too hard on yourself. Sometimes us women just need to do something right then and now. It could change if you've not used FMU . Was it a digital test or a dye one ? I'd try again in the morning. Your husband will probably realise that something is not well with you . I can imagine your very upset. Xx take care my lovely.

SunshineAndScience · 10/11/2021 17:58

Thanks girls. It was the Clearblue one but not a digital one. And no, I didn't use FMU. Wish I had just left it now but I was going crazy!

Hopefully it's just still too early but I've had proper period pains today. Although I'm not sure how it works - does your period still try and come if you're on all the medication?! Sorry if that sounds thick!

I'm just tired of it all! The waiting, the hoping, the disappointment. And just watching all our friends and family live the life that we do desperately want. Xxx

Justawannabemam · 10/11/2021 18:29

I'm going to message you .

Ivfnewbie1 · 10/11/2021 18:30

@SunshineAndScience I’m sure the cyclogest should keep period at bay until you stop taking them, that’s what I’ve read and my clinic told me also…so test again OTD! It absolutely could just be too early xxxx

paintfairy · 10/11/2021 18:46

@IVFGotThis05 the more you get, the more the drop off rate is. So less is more sometimes.
@Ivfnewbie1 we only get 1 nhs round too.
@SunshineAndScience I think 9 days can be too early for some people. Which is why you get given an OTD. So it might not mean that you are out yet. I think I'll do it when my husband is here. I never used to normally but with this - we did it together so it seems fair. Plus you need the support.

I've had really bad cramps today. I should think too bad for implantation so I'm guessing it's still progesterone? I don't know but I'm not enjoying it. My rhr has dropped as well which worries me. Usually it does about now and then lowers all the way until AF.

I couldn't decide if the progesterone would keep my period at bay. Mine would technically be due next Tuesday based on EC. But my OTD isn't until next Friday. I'm pretty sure by Friday I'd know if I was out, as I usually spot before my period and my period would also be overdue.

ginandtonicformeplease · 10/11/2021 19:46

@SunshineAndScience My clinic says to test 11dpt: I've always managed to keep to that. After my third transfer, the test was negative. The clinic said to keep on with the cyclogest for another three days and test again just in case - it was positive on day 14!

I've been so exhausted these last few days. I don't know if it's just the general anti-climax after so much build up to the transfer, or the meds - I'm on a high dose of pred, plus oestrogen, progesterone and clexane.

strawberrysummer19 · 10/11/2021 21:17

Hi everyone - hope everyone is doing ok

For anyone that's had a recent ET how is cervical mucus meant to be ? So today I've noticed lots of watery style CM - so much that all the pessary is coming out and where I've been out all day I've really noticed it.

I'm 3dpt5dt just wondered if anyone has had same ?

No signs at all other than sore boobs but they been sore since starting progesterone. X

paintfairy · 10/11/2021 21:56

@strawberrysummer19 I don't think I've got CM but all the pessary does come out. I only use panty liners and it'll come through that if I was to only use one and be out all day. Its a pain!

strawberrysummer19 · 10/11/2021 21:58

@paintfairy oh I have loads of wet CM like water type. I never use pads and normally the pessaries stay in - hardly nothing comes out but since this watery cm it's all coming out x

2021babyhope · 11/11/2021 07:51

@strawberrysummer19 I really struggled taking the pessaries vaginally but depending on which one you're on my clinic said I could take them rectally. I was on cyclogest - I also have crinone this time round though so haven't been able to get away with it 😅

Ivfnewbie1 · 11/11/2021 07:55

Hey everyone! Woke up this morning with brown and clear discharge and sharp stomach pain (although that went after I had a wee), I am 8dpt5dt 😢😢 8 days after transfer can’t be implantation it’s too late I believe

Justawannabemam · 11/11/2021 08:09

@Ivfnewbie1 my clinic told me can be as much as 10 days implantation.

If its brown discharge its old blood so could have been sitting and now it's being pushed out . Only worry when it's red blood.

Fingers crossed. X

IVFGotThis05 · 11/11/2021 08:58

I've had my phone call today, of the 12 collected 9 of them were mature and of the 9, 6 have fertilised !! I dunno how I feel about it, a little disappointed but hopeful. I'll get a phonecall on Saturday with an update on how they are getting on. Fingers crossed 🤞
