I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

@strawberrysummer19 that's brilliant . Fingers crossed this one sticks and you can use it in the future.

I'm no further on at the min.

Spoke to my GP who has out in a funding request for NHS funding .

I've also spoke to a clinic in Darlington. We're gonna see what they say at our follow up. And if they are saying April were gonna go private. They've said we can been starting early January

Just wondering if we go private and then we get nhs funding, can I use that if the private cycle doesn't work ? Or am I wavering the NHS cycle by going private .?

Has anyine heard anything about the clinic at Darlington. It's part of the London woman's clinic.

IVFGotThis05 · 09/11/2021 11:24

Okay before I said not feeling much from the trigger which was good, I've noticed a lot of people don't... but now I have period like cramps and definitely bloating ! Roll on tomorrow morning ! I kinda want to go home and just cuddle my stomach :)

paintfairy · 09/11/2021 12:25

@IVFGotThis05 yeah it kind of builds. None of it is fun when you feel uncomfortable.
@Justawannabemam I think it completely depends on your ccg. Some allow you to have 1 round prior, some none. So you would need to check. But I only got put forward for ivf end of August and I'm in my 2ww so the wait isn't always ages?

paintfairy · 09/11/2021 12:26

@strawberrysummer19 I'm still craving crisps! I haven't had McDonald's though. My info actually said to not eat too much salt interestingly? But I'm still wanting it....

strawberrysummer19 · 09/11/2021 12:27

@Justawannabemam ohh I hope so x

Ok so that's a bit more promising?
I'm not sure about the funding thing - hopefully someone can shed some light - I'm sure you could still use it hence going for a private cycle because it's so long to wait. I think I would be inclined to go with that and start in January and if I couldn't then use the funding after then so be it but you may not need to 😀😀😀

I'm with the London women's clinic
And I cannot fault them. Xx

CycleGirl20 · 09/11/2021 13:03

@IVFGotThis05 I triggered too last night. Not too many symptoms so far except a bit bloated. I've been bloated for days though!

Justawannabemam · 09/11/2021 13:07

@strawberrysummer19 are you at the Darlington clinic? That's good to hear they are good. I have read some good reviews. We're holding on see what the hospital say and then we will decide. My GP said to go private and wait no more.

@paintfairy we have been told it will be April if we want to go to the same clinic . Thats both private or NHS.

strawberrysummer19 · 09/11/2021 13:09

@Justawannabemam the London one
It has mixed reviews but we were very pleased x

Justawannabemam · 09/11/2021 13:20

@strawberrysummer19 sounds perfect. I assume you paid ?

My boyfriend wouldn't need a health check as his seman sample is less than 12 months so that's fine with that.

strawberrysummer19 · 09/11/2021 13:43

@Justawannabemam yes it was a private fund as I have a daughter from my previous relationship
We went with access though which was a huge discount for 2 cycles xx

MrsC2018 · 09/11/2021 18:12

@Justawannabemam you need to check your individual CCG guidelines as some have a specific clause where any privately paid rounds are counted in your provision - so if you're entitled to 2 rounds on the NHS but pay for one privately whilst waiting, you're then only entitled to 1 from the NHS, if you paid for 2 then you'd be entitled to none etc. Google your CCG guidelines for IVF provision and call them if you need to

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry. I just don't think the clinics understand what repeated TWW do to someone. For them, you'll just do a FET of the one that should have been transferred yesterday - but like you say, this is time and heartache that you'll never get back. I'm so very sorry you're going through this

paintfairy · 09/11/2021 19:27

@lucymills1234 so, have they at least frozen the one that should have gone in yesterday?
I don't know what to say reading that. No words. I can only imagine how devastated you must be. What I will say is that there is some hope it might work, you just never know.
As for the useless clinic, the whole thing is utterly disgraceful. Of course someone senior should be grovelling. Not only is it absolutely shocking it even happened, they've not even dealt with it well. This is peoples lives they are playing with. And their mental health. Definitely write a formal complaint. Do not let them get away with that. No one else deserves to go through this. Hugs to you xxx
Which clinic is it? Pm if you'd rather.

Gensola · 09/11/2021 19:40

@lucymills1234 what the fuck!!!! I’m so sorry to hear this, you must be devastated. I would demand a free FET of the one they were supposed to transfer as a minimum, if this one doesn’t work.
Definitely complain, to the HFEA if necessary. Mistakes like this just shouldn’t happen. 💕 sending lots of love and sympathy.

Justawannabemam · 09/11/2021 19:45

@lucymills1234 oh my goodness that is awful. I'm not going to ask if you are okay because clearly your not. And I wouldnt be either.

And you've paid for this treatment ? Well firstly try not to stress, it's not what you need whilst in your 2ww. Easier said than done I know .

Secondly how has this happened. At my clinic they were so thorough checking everything and double checking. Surely this is some sort of misconduct.

Thirdly and I know its not about the money, but more if a time priority for you. I would be demanding your money back ! Especially if this doesn't work for you. I truly hope it doesn't come to this . Reading your story you really really want this. The extent your going to on your own must be so hard. Keep your chin up. Hopefully things will work out. Take care .x

Chrischross · 09/11/2021 20:08

@lucymills1234 I am so angry for you. This is beyond ridiculous and just shows a total lack of care. At the very least the consultant should be in touch to apologise and try and find a resolution. Can you sue? Is that too American? I’m sorry you’re going through this. I did read a article of weeks ago about a study and it did say if you only want one child you can afford to leave things till you’re 41 to try naturally and 43 with IVF. Im basically trying to say don’t worry too much about age. This cycle could work. If not you still have a bit of time but I would definitely move clinics for a fresh start.

Chrischross · 09/11/2021 20:19

So… I had my progress scan today and my lining is looking good and ready for transfer. I start progesterone oil injections on Wednesday for a transfer on the 16th. I’m doing a FET and so far I’ve only had 1 prostap injection and was almost feeling a little smug about not having to do injections but turns out I’ll be using these gigantic needles from now, all through my TWW and possibly all the way till week 10. I’ve always used passeries in the past, has anyone done progesterone injections? Any tips? The needles look frightening. Will I be able to sit down? 😅

VenusStarr · 09/11/2021 20:37

@lucymills1234 I am so sorry, that's an awful thing to happen. I'm shocked that the clinic haven't gone out of their way to contact you and provide support to you. Be kind to yourself, it's a massive shock ❤️❤️

SunshineAndScience · 09/11/2021 21:24

I just wanted to wish echo what others had said @lucymills1234 - I'm just so sorry that you're having to go through all this added stress on top of usual IVF stress. It's completely unacceptable xxx

Holskey · 09/11/2021 21:53

@lucymills1234 utterly shocking. Knowing which embryos are which and exactly where they are is an absolutely basic requirement of a competent clinic. I'm sorry they've messed this up for you. Hoping for a miracle for you 💐

Gensola · 10/11/2021 06:16

@Chrischross I am on Lubion injections and there’s a giant needle for getting it out of the vial but then you change to a smaller needle for actually injecting it - is yours not like that? I didn’t realise at first as the needles are in very similar packaging

CycleGirl20 · 10/11/2021 06:17

Good luck @IVFGotThis05 for EC today!

paintfairy · 10/11/2021 07:25

@IVFGotThis05 good luck!

IVFGotThis05 · 10/11/2021 07:31

@CycleGirl20 thank you ! And yours today isn't it !! Wish you all the luck :)
