IVF/FET October/November 21

I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

@MrsC2018 🤣 I was literally just doing the same thing. Then read some iffy reviews and decided not to get them from amazon. Got them from Dr fertility. I have a crap clinic one that I'm saving until otd but being its a full 2 weeks I might try one 2 days before. I shall see. I don't want them in the house but neither did I want to risk them not turning up in time!

In other news I've gone from constipation to a gurgling unhappy stomach. I hate drugs.....

Thanks @MrsC2018 - will see how things turn out but it's been far from smooth this time, for sure.

@strawberrysummer19 I hadn't had transfer yet when I posted earlier - but I have now!

@paintfairy this is my fifth transfer and up til now it was 5AA, 5AA, 4AA, 4AB so I have definitely demonstrated grade isn't everything...

My blast had moved on a bit so when it was transferred it was a 4BA. All I can do now is hope it's a sticky one. The others aren't completely out of the running, apparently 3 are blasts just not expanded enough to freeze so I really hope at least one will make it... there's one that's a bit ahead of the others. The 4 which are still morulas are probably unlikely to develop but I guess you never know. They'll check them again later today and give me an update, and then do a final check tomorrow to see whether there's any progression on day 6 before calling it quits...

@paintfairy uh oh is this because of the progesterone ? I've heard a few stories of this lol

@IVFGotThis05 I don't know? It might be. But other times I've had it for iui it constipated me and gave me headaches. Not this. So who knows!
@lucymills1234 yes exactly! And some people have finally got their bfp with a lesser quality one. Hopefully that's the case with you too.

@paintfairy good shout there about Amazon. What tests did you buy from Dr Fertility? I don't know whether to buy some to test early to try and lessen the blow if it's negative or whether to just stay in my lovely bubble and test on the 20th 😫🤦‍♀️

@CycleGirl20 and @IVFGotThis05 good luck with your egg retrievals. I was not extra bloated after my trigger shot but it is expected to be bloated anyways so don't worry even if you will ☺️ Just as an advice if I may: try to refrain from reading worse case scenarios. It really doesn't help at this point and would make you extra stressed. I wish both of you success this round so you don't have to go through it again 🙏🍀

@Cayandsimit Thank you ! Yep trying to stay positive ! My partner tried to tell me to try to not get my hopes up and try not to get too excited about the next steps but I just explained to him ... Why ?! The outcome will be the same, I'll still be upset if it doesn't work if I was positive or not in the running up to it all.

So my phone went off twice but I couldn't get it as I was in a work conference and it was the clinic!!

They now don't open until tomorrow !!

They left it as they would call me tomorrow morning but would check them this afternoon also so wondering if there's good news ?

I wasn't expecting a good news from a day 7 but then now to wait until tomorrow knowing there's an update good 😊or bad is even worse!! When they said they would call tomorrow 😩😩😩

@strawberrysummer19 oh no! How awful to be wondering all night. Let's hope they don't leave it long to ring tomorrow.
@MrsC2018 I ordered frer and some clear blue with the weeks indicator. I think it's useful to have something other than the clinic test, in case it doesn't work or whatever. The CB i would only use if I got a positive on an frer and I just want to see the weeks. 🤣 Possibly a waste of money but I mulled it over and decided I'd rather have them in case, than wish I'd got some. Hopefully they'll have a long date on so I'll still have them if I have a FET. Or I'll donate them to someone who needs them.
@IVFGotThis05 its hard not to get your hopes up. And yeah you'll be equally miserable if it goes wrong, whether you feel OK now or if you don't. So you might as well be in a good mood whilst you can. I feel OK at the moment because actually there's still a chance as nothing can have been finalised yet for me anyway. We are only a couple of days in. 🤷‍♀️

@IVFGotThis05 I think your attitude is the best in this situation. I am rather negative person and it has brought me nothing other than more stress 🤣 My husband is the opposite. I guess partners balance each other ☺️

@IVFGotThis05 that is exactly my attitude. Heartbreak never hurts less because you worried about it beforehand. And you're in with a real chance! Personally, I never had a chance all those years I ttc in vain before IVF. I'd never tell someone who has been through failed transfers they should be hopeful of course, but hope is a lovely thing if you can feel it.

Also, my clinic never gave me a pregnancy test to take. Had to buy my own. Have I been ripped off? 👀 😂

That's a good way to put it @Holskey. I'm hoping I might get a few frosties as well as a fresh transfer. I have high amh, which also might be why they didn't count my follicles at the scan as I had a few. I have done 13 days of stims though and collection will be on day 16, which apparently is unusual but the doctor thought was due to more follicles growing. I'm trying to focus on hopefully getting our baby in this collection, even if the fresh isn't it. I guess I'll reframe that if there are fertilization issues or the likes!

Love @Holskey and @IVFGotThis05 mindset! That's where I'm trying to stay too.

Sounds cringe but I've been doing things we love to do and going places we love to go so that we can take our little embryo with us and make them think 'my parents are cool, I'm gonna stick around' 😂

Hi, hope it's ok to join a little late in the piece? I'm 6dp3dt and driving myself mad! Looking for distraction and moral support to stay away from the frers. I don't have my beta until next Monday, and not sure I can last that long!

Loving the positive mindset idea! My transfer is now booked for 16 Nov, feeling nervous and just want it to happen now.

@Gensola my transfer will hopefully be the 15th. I'm looking forward to trying to use the HCg in my trigger shot to test my cheapies to see if they actually work 😅. Has anyone else tried that? The trigger does have HCg right?

@CycleGirl20 I think trigger has HCg, I’m on an FET so no trigger for me, I’ll have to be extra firm and not test early!

It's a busy next couple of weeks for everyone !! I'm loving all of the positive attitude messages ! It's a stressful time anyway so just try to have some hope and think of it as good or bad outcome ... its still a step closer than where we were before right!? I haven't tried for as long as others and this being my first ivf cycle I'm going to be a little more positive than others so I can't imagine it being easy for yous to stay positive but baby steps!!

I did trigger last night! Just a little bloated today. I just want to get the work day over with and get home and sorted for tomorrow ! Washing my favourite dressing gown and slippers ready (sad I know but I take joy in the little things haha)

TWWers how are you doing ? When I saw someone post a date for their test day I thought woooow that's ages away, I think with scans and ec so often for 2 weeks, the tww seems like ages ! Hope yous are keeping yourself busy :)

@Holskey its only a cheap strip test with a collection container. Nothing expensive. But I didn't expect them to give me one either. Not that I know about these things.

I don't know about anyone else but I feel awful. Yesterday wasn't great and then last night I woke in the night with terrible pains. Cramps. Bloated. I think I had trapped wind too. I'm not sure really if this is a carry on from all the other stuff or if it's the progesterone? 🤷‍♀️ I got up and took paracetamol and it did settle. But my stomach feels permanently overactive. 😫

So the clinic called again after missing their call yesterday and said that they've managed to freeze another top quality embryo! They checked it yesterday afternoon and it was able to be froze - very pleased

@IVFGotThis05 Yay to trigger! So exciting, so this time tomorrow you'll be awake with lots of little eggs ready to be fertilised!

@paintfairy I had that at around 3dpt I think. Woke in the night with cramps, had to do some deep breathing to get through 😂 I was also expecting to be severely constipated but (TMI) it's almost been the opposite. My stomach is very gurgly too!

Test day in 4 sleeps. I'm so anxious but trying to remain positive. I feel no different. This is my first cycle (TTC for 8 years, two 'natural' conceptions that ended in miscarriage and then 3 years of various meds, operations and waiting for IVF!). I just want it so bad. Obviously 🤪 xxx

@strawberrysummer19 wow that's amazing news! Definitely takes the pressure off. I'm really pleased for you.
@SunshineAndScience I'm glad it's not just me. The way my stomach feels I am surprised I'm not permanently in the toilet. But yeah I also feel like I should be constipated and I'm still bloated. The whole thing is just not fun at all. I'm 3dpt today. I'm hoping it settles down!

@paintfairy I know im so pleased as none to freeze last cycle so it's such a nice feeling we have one for next year - but obviously rooting for this one!!

I haven't been that healthy so I need to get back to being good!! I had a McDonald's yesterday 😬😬😬xx
