IVF/FET October/November 21

I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

Do it. Just have to take it easy where you can.
My cramps are nothing compared to how I'm comfortable EC was so I'm thank you for that

Is anyone eating / doiing anything different for the next 2 weeks? Food wise and also change of vitimins ?

I ha da right concoction going on! So have cut them in half as was taking egg quality and DHEA just wondered what everyone else is taking?

@strawberrysummer19 I am still taking pregnacare. I was taking ubiquinol and I think that's good for you anyway so I thought i would carry on whilst I had them? I was also taking extra vit c and d some days but I'm unsure if to do this now. I don't want to do more harm than good.

@paintfairy @strawberrysummer19 Ive just stuck with my pregnancy multivitamin and Spatone iron supplement (I'm a vegetarian that's terrible at getting my iron intake 😂) I'm also the same at trying to be as normal as possible, gotta to go back to normal at some point if it works so might as well start now!

5 sleeps til test day. Definitely not as chilled as I anticipated but there we go!

Is anyone else on Prednisone steroids? I was given them due to endometriosis and I'm sure they're giving me heart palpitations which don't help my calm state 😂

Oh and sorry if the name change from WightLady87 confuses people. It was a name from 8 years ago when I first joined and I realised made me literally sound like an 87 year old lady with white hair...

Progress scan done - lining is good and ovaries are asleep so they’re confirming my FET on 15th, i start progesterone injections and pessaries from tomorrow. Nervous but keen to get this cycle over with for better or for worse!

@IVFGotThis05 fingers crossed your scan is good news. Let's hope Wednesday is the day! 🤞
@SunshineAndScience 🤣 I never envisaged that to be honest. Just assumed you were born 87. I think the nearer you get to test day the more nerve racking it gets to be honest! I'm OK this week but I'll be crapping myself next week!
@Gensola excellent news! So with a FET, so you just do buserelin and then progesterone? I was really naive and always just assumed they shove it in with your normal cycle, timed with your LP. 🤦‍♀️🤣

I've had my day 6 update and they've said none are good enough for freeze 😩

They did say they want to check again tomorrow but I feel it's probably not going to make it - at day 7?

I was really hoping for one in the freezer so I'm a bit disappointed to say the least as I don't think he will go for another round x

@strawberrysummer19 I'm so sorry. Its a right rollercoaster isn't it. Good news one day and not the next. How many rounds have you done? Fingers crossed for the one that's already been transferred. 🤞🤞

@strawberrysummer19 sorry to hear that, I can understand you must feel dejected :(

I'm feeling really low after a call from the clinic earlier. I do have a blast to transfer which I know is the main thing, but it's the lowest grade out of any transfer I've done so far (it's a BA). At the moment, nothing else is at the point that it's suitable to freeze :( A couple are apparently blasts but not expanded enough but may get there and a few are still at morula stage.

My worry when I had the whole screw up with meds was that I'd read over-mature eggs tended not to make good blasts, and so I'm wondering if that's what is happening here. I can't know for sure and hopefully the picture might improve but to go from 8 morulas yesterday with 5 at top tier to only one so-so blast today feels really blah.

@lucymills1234 hi sorry you didn't get a good call. It does seem a huge drop off doesn't it!
So have you got ET booked? It may get better? And the others ? X

Hello 👋. I was going to start a thread but thought here might be a better place to ask. I have my trigger shot tonight, pre EC. Should I expect any symptoms? I'm quite bloated at the moment from stims and also wondering when that's likely to go away?

@CycleGirl20 welcome! I didn't have any symptoms after trigger, I was very uncomfortable and bloated but this went away literally after egg transfer

EC made me very sore and uncomfortable after for a few days but it died right down on day 4 and by day 5 I felt absolutely fine

@lucymills1234 I'm not sure grades mean all that much having read some other things. So just because it's lower it probably doesn't make a difference to your chances. Understandably it'll be disappointing if you have none to freeze. Let's hope tomorrow brings better news.
@CycleGirl20 I think it depends. I didn't struggle with bloating on stims until right at the end. Previously I've had iui and the trigger for that actually caused me massive bloating issues and pains even for a week or 2. I'm still bloated now (trigger was a week ago last Saturday) and I have no idea how much of it is from that or the EC. But it's still here.

@CycleGirl20 Hey! Welcome 🤗 I didn't have any symptoms after trigger other than my hands were puffy. EC was okay, I was a bit sore and nauseous but like the others say, it went in a few days. GOOD LUCK!

@lucymills1234 Sorry you didn't get a good call, it's so brutal this whole thing isn't it. We were told on transfer day (5 day transfer) that we only had the one and the other two weren't going to make it. We then went home and the next day got a call to say that one had managed to get to 'good enough to freeze stage'. Even the embryologist was surprised. Fingers crossed you get some better news tomorrow and that the one you've transferred is your sticky one! Xxx

@strawberrysummer19 I'm not doing anything special regarding diet or supplements- I take pregnacare and I don't drink at all during the IVF cycle. I've previously taken all sorts of supplements and diet changes and it made no difference so I'm just being a normal amount of healthy and going with a relaxed approach.

My day 6 update was also nothing good enough to freeze 😫 completely expected it and lucky to have 2 transferred out of the 5 fertilised, but still. It would have been nice to have another option. Asked the embryologist again whether the 2 transferred were any good and unfortunately because they were D4, they're ungraded. Never mind, I do know that the grading system doesn't mean anything in reality it's just hard to be positive I guess!

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry. It's gutting getting that call. Just hope your embryo does better inside you. I had a disasterous second cycle with immature eggs when out of 14 only 3 fertilised and were very poor quality. Even though they'd triggered me at day 8 they never admitted that this was their fault, it's so frustrating when you're left to deal with the consequences of their poor planning. That was around Sunday closures as well. I just can't understand how this can fit in with their business model. If I wasn't tied in with another cycle, I'd definitely try and find a clinic that's open 7 days to just take away that uncertainty.

@CycleGirl20 I've never had any symptoms from a trigger, I'm usually already bloated and sore! EC will also make you bloated and sore but I'm usually right at rain the day after

@CycleGirl20 Yeah this is my first IVF cycle ! What about you ? It's nice to have someone on the same day!! What time are you doing trigger ? I'm 9pm and I'll be having egg collection 8am Wednesday so super early start! I think they said I'm the only one having egg collection in the clinic that day so getting my in first thing ! At least I don't have to wait around.

@IVFGotThis05 I'm exactly the same. 9pm trigger and at the clinic at 8 for a 9am collection. It's my first cycle too! Did they tell you how many follicles you'd got? I saw mine on the screen at my scan on Friday but they didn't say how many so I have no idea how many eggs I'll get.

Ah hopefully we can keep each other going through the next couple of weeks!

Yeah they told me they had 8 on left and about 6 big enough on the right...it's not huge numbers but I'm just happy with anything ! I'm surprised they didn't tell you to be honest ! It's nice to have a rough idea of what they might get Wednesday !

Urgh, just added pregnancy tests to the Amazon basket for OTD. Feel sick, I don't even want them in the house. Should I just use the crappy clinic one? What do you guys do?
