I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

@paintfairy good luck for EC today xxx

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 09:30

@paintfairy sorry it's tomorrow I thought it was Monday today !!🤣

paintfairy · 31/10/2021 10:22

@strawberrysummer19 🤣 I keep getting confused what day it is! And then they go and change the time too! 😆 This year is flying by. I sat thinking we needed to buy Halloween sweets next week when we go shopping because for some reason I'm a week behind myself!

Justawannabemam · 31/10/2021 14:22

So I've done a digital test this morning and it's changed from pregnant to not pregnant hey ho. Onwards and upwards

I was due to go for bloods tomorrow, but I don't think I will gain anything from going ? Or does ppl still think I should go ? Open to your thoughts.

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 15:23

@Justawannabemam oh I'm so so sorry to hear that. I think it's worth still going but someone might be able to advise otherwise? Xx

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 15:24

@paintfairy I'm glad it's not only me ! I dont know what day it is at the moment and the clocks changing hasn't helped with all the different clocks in house I've forgotten to change!! X

paintfairy · 31/10/2021 15:28

@Justawannabemam I think I would go anyway. Because it'll give you a definitive answer?
@strawberrysummer19 I don't know if I'm coming or going. 🤣 Still hasn't sunk in that anything is happening tomorrow!

Holskey · 31/10/2021 17:05

@Justawannabemam, u k ow you were expecting it, but it must have been so unpleasant to see that test Flowers Entirely up to you if you want to go. Personally, I don't think I would gain anything from it, but there's no wrong way to feel about it x

Holskey · 31/10/2021 17:06

I know*

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 31/10/2021 17:24

@Justawannabemam I am so sorry you have to go through this, I personally wouldn't go, each time mine was negative it was a slap in the face, but I think it's down to how you feel rather than anything else. Sending you warm thoughts, and hope your clinic can be supportive for you x

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 17:26

@paintfairy I know me too, I've just taken my last lot of stims and trigger at 11:30 and can can relax and not have to worry about any more injections which will be nice !

Has anyone had to do a lateral flow or pcr test? My clinic just said to do a lateral flow 24 hours before - I've just done one now as don't want any surprises for when I do it tomorrow but just wondering how we document it or even if that's needed

Last time I had to pay for a pcr but not this time x

Justawannabemam · 31/10/2021 17:33

@strawberrysummer19 yeh I had to do a Pcr they arranged it locally for Me.

Thanks everyone for your comments, I think I'll go so I can have a chat with them. See if they can see where we go now although my partner can't come with me I'd just like done reassurance we can go again

Hope you ladies all do collections tomorrow are OK enjoy the sedation. I hadvtge best nights sleep.

paintfairy · 31/10/2021 17:38

@strawberrysummer19 mine haven't asked me to do any. But yeah making sure is a good idea!

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 17:42

@paintfairy it's all so different isn't it
They just said to do a lateral flow this time but no pcr So that's changed since last time

@Justawannabemam I
Think that's a good idea. See what they suggest.

Thank you, mines Tuesday - I hope I will this time - I was so poorly last time
I woke up sick and felt absolutely awful for 2 days - I'm sure I had a reaction to the sedation
As I didn't enjoy it at all xx

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 17:44

And this time I have more time off as last time was straight back to work but had to call sick

This time I have Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday off but I have to work Friday with the option from wfh but I'll see how I do

My partner isn't good at looking after me ! He's constantly telling me to sit down but then stressing about ' doing everything ' he was sooooo annoying last time I told him to go to work! If I get up he's like sit down !!! But I need the toilet lol - bless him he tries but he isn't the best carer lol xx

paintfairy · 31/10/2021 17:50

@strawberrysummer19 I thought I'd feel OK after the day. Is that not the case? I wasn't planning on needing to rest. 🤣

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 18:21

@paintfairy sorry paintfairy you'll probably be absolutely fine! I've read a lot where people are and manage to get back to normal a day later but for me I wasn't well and had mild OHSS so I'm just being cautious

I wonder if I had a reaction because of the sedation but I'm going to tell them on the day as when I had a op when I was 17 I had a bad reaction too but I forgot to say to them. So maybe that will help x

IVFGotThis05 · 31/10/2021 18:22

I've just been reading a few people saying they took time off after egg collection I haven't planned to take anytime off ! What's your experience after EC?

Also this is going to sound so dumb but if I usually do both injections at 8 should I now do them at 7 every night? I didn't factor in the clocks going back :(

paintfairy · 31/10/2021 18:31

@IVFGotThis05 oooohhh good point! I've no idea? It was confusing enough triggering but I never thought about what would happen if I was still injecting.

I've got tomorrow off but i literally expected to be ok after that. DH is even expecting me to carry on as normal later tomorrow I think. I can't decide if I'll be ok or not! Hard to know when it's never happened before.

IVFGotThis05 · 31/10/2021 18:51

@paintfairy ahh I definitely think you should have the day of procedure to do nothing all day ! Hopefully you aren't too bad and can continue as normal the following days, I've read a lot of different opinions on rest after ec !

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 31/10/2021 18:53

@IVFGotThis05 I'm also having the same drama. I do mine at 8pm every night, as was told it had to be between 6-8pm, and I work til 7, plus I was advised to take meds out of the fridge 30 mins before to prevent pain. So I currently race home to do all this in time. Now I'm worried doing it at 8 technically means I am doing it at 9, which is out of the 6-8.... but I'm going to have to take meds to work with me if not.... it's not that bigger deal as it's my own salon, but it's a proper pain in the arse, and something I hadn't thought of.... but surely the clinic would have thought to let us know, they must be asked this every year lol? X

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 31/10/2021 18:57

@paintfairy is your sedation conscious sedation? I was fully awake throughout mine.... I didn't have anyone available to drive me home, so I drove the 45mins back, and continued a normal day, had very mild period pains that day, the next day I was back to normal. I think most of it is down to what sedation is used and whether you end up with OHSS x

IVFGotThis05 · 31/10/2021 19:00

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 ahhh man that's going to be such a pain for you ! I'm lucky enough to finish at 5 but just means I'm limited to what I can do after work now ! I'm going to go with doing it at 7, because surely my body is used to having it at that time !? Ah I'm a little annoyed I didn't think about it earlier and ask thr clinic !

strawberrysummer19 · 31/10/2021 19:07

So my clinic did factor in the time for trigger but as I don't have any Injections now I'm not sure about if you should for normal injections

For me what I would do is do them half an hour later than usual and then adjust slightly as days go on? because surely if you're stimming for a good few days then you can't be expected to change the times ?

I can't believe peoples clinic didn't advise
Like you say surely people ask every year?!

I know trigger it's very important but stims I remember somewhere having 30 mins leeway but maybe check with clinic if you can
If not and they are closed then maybe adopt the 30 min leeway? I think that's what I would do

For me I was poorly after EC but I'm sure that was a one off and I'm really hoping I'm
Not I'll again after as it was really horrid
It was like it was OHSS but never diagnosed

When you read about it it says you should recover after a day or so with just mild cramping but for me I didn't have that. Xx

paintfairy · 31/10/2021 19:27

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 yeah concious sedation. But it does say I can't drive for 24 hours and I have to be accompanied by an adult for that length of time too. 🤣 I'm hoping I'll be ok. I have things to do daily usually that requires a bit of lifting etc. I'm hoping I'll be ok by the next day!
