IVF/FET October/November 21

I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

My scan went well! Although I only have 6 follicles out of the 9 which seem to be responding I'm very happy with that result.
So my nurse wants to see me tomorrow again for another scan as she said she doesn't want to leave it until Monday....which I'm happy about as my scans are mirroring the last ones and where they were slow to grow they all shot up at the end but that was 1-3 looking good and ended up with 9

So I should know more tomorrow - she mentioned triggering possibly at the weekend !
Feels so surreal x

@Justawannabemam thank you. I know everyone is different but I didn’t bleed with my chemical at all until I stopped the drugs.

The clinic say it’s an average of 10-14 days on the menopur but it was about 23 days last time. They stimmed me for longer to try and get my lining thickness up. I had 42 follicles and was horrendously ill. So I’m hoping for a lot shorter this time, I’d much rather freeze all and be less poorly.

I’m on day 4 now and starting to get stomach pains and bloating. Start centrotide tomorrow.

@theotherfossilsister try not to over think it. These studies aren't ever really conclusive. My mum didn't have me old but here i am struggling with it all. I literally know more people who have struggled ttc (irl) than haven't! Its actually pretty normal these days (albeit worrying). Do what you need to do, whether it feels selfish or not.
@VenusStarr I have my fingers firmly crossed for you.
@strawberrysummer19 I think I'll be triggering at the weekend too! Should know tomorrow.

My nurse seemed to think I would trigger Sunday for a EC Tuesday but have to see how they are responding in tomorrow's scan - keep me updated ! X

My heart goes out to all of you struggling in limbo, I honestly think that's the hardest part of the journey.... the not knowing, the waiting, the hope that is more fear than hope. I hope you all get peace soon, be it good or bad news, once we know what we are dealing with we can be strong, to get to where we are and have dealt with so much speaks volumes. Never doubt yourselves, sending loads and loads of positive thoughts... 💪🏻💕💪🏻

@strawberrysummer19 omg. Good job you said as I wouldn't have thought and they haven't said anything! I'm waiting for them to call (will do update once they have) but I think I'll be triggering Saturday night.

@Holskey how are you today? Sorry I didn't reply yesterday, full on day and felt so anxious so forced myself to have an early night and rest. Have you done a test today? It's Otd isn't it?
I don't mind you asking (hope it doesn't upset anyone). I've had 3 MMCs where the babies stop growing in week 6, my biggest got to 6+5, a day ahead of my dates but no heartbeat. I passed them all at 9+3/4. In my first I bled so had an early scan, then had early scans in the others because of my history. I had a chemical last February which was a faint positive on my af due date then darker tests then bleeding. And in my fresh transfer in the summer I bled heavily at 7dp5dt, then had a very faint line on 9dp5dt and low hcg so they actually classed it as negative (5.2) but I tested at 11dp5dt and had a stronger positive and my hcg was 14.9. But then it faded but I didn't bleed until my next period. Odd.

Thank you @theotherfossilsister you are not selfish ❤️ it's so hard and the process and impact of the meds and hormones are definitely not helpful. From what I know of my own experience, there is no rhyme or reason why some of us struggle to get pregnant or hold onto pregnancies. I know you can't have wine, but is there something else that you like that you can get in for later to look forward to? Big hugs.

Has anyone been told to self isolate before any procedure ? Like EC or transfer ? I know my clinic used to ask people but they haven't mentioned it to me. I'm just curious, I will ask on my next scan to be sure.

I've rung the clinic this morning just waiting for them to ring me back. Still bleeding. 😫 Will wait and take their advice with regards to continuing with medication

The ladies on the clinic will be busy . It's egg collection day at the unit today .
They are very good. One of them rung me at 6.30 last week.x

@Justawannabemam I’m so sorry that you’re going through this and I hope you get answers soon. It’s horrible how unpredictable IVF can be. You’re right, your turn will come and it will almost be like all this never happened. Just hang tight x

@IVFGotThis05 nobody mentioned anything to me about isolating for my FET and they didn't require a test or anything. I was surprised they didn't mention Covid at all.

@VenusStarr so many horrible experiences. This time must be different! 🙏Will you have another scan after the 6 week scan? (Before 12 weeks).

I took my test today. Good strong line Called the clinic and booked scan for 23/11. That's a full month after I found out and I'll be 8 weeks, which seems quite late to me. First world problems on the infertility forum, I know, but I'm considering booking a private scan elsewhere sooner. Undecided.

@strawberrysummer19 good spot! I remember timing my trigger shot to the second, so missing something like that would have given me serious anxiety.

Thank you @Holskey ❤️ good news on Otd 🥳 I'll be having lots of scans with my specialist, so they already booked my 8 week one when I was there yesterday to have some immune treatment. Blows my mind that they're so confident. I'm just taking each day as it comes for now. But then I'll have a 10, 12 and 16 week scan with them as well as my nhs one. All being well, I'll be discharged from my miscarriage specialist at 16 weeks and then likely consultant led due to my history. That is a bit of a wait for yours, my 8 week one is 26 November.

My clinic didn't ask about covid either. We just do a consent form each time to confirm we aren't symptomatic / been in contact with anyone and they temperature check every time you go in.

I'm coming to terms with it now. Give it a few weeks and hopefully we can start again.

Good scan, folicles are only 4-5 with about 4 smaller ones but EC has been booked for Tuesday, trigger Sunday ! Wahoo
