@ngy21 hey , stay positive okay ? I’m sure everything will catch up with higher dosage ! Good thing is that you most likely won’t get OHSS like I did because you don’t have as many follicles . So you’ll most likely have fresh trasfer which would be brilliant ! I’m sure you can wait for few more days extra as I have to wait few long weeks extra 😂 yes I am still waiting for my AF to start , should start in like a week from now . I can’t wait !!!
On my trigger day I didn’t do stims , only fyremadel which is to stop ovulation early , I did that at 11 in morning and trigger shot at 19-45 same night , but no ovaleap as I was already over stimulated 😃
You never know maybe some extra follicles will appear when you go for your scan next ! That would be great 😊 the scary thing is that if you only have 10-12 follicles then that doesn’t mean there is egg in every follicle so you might collect let’s say 8 eggs , and then it’s the horrible waiting to see how many fertilised ! Maybe you’ll have fewer eggs but better quality so maybe they will all fertilise ? You just never know it’s a numbers game and a lot of luck too ! But I really hope you get some amazing quality eggs ! I can’t wait to see how many embies you’ll end up with🙌😇 so exiting yet so scary to find out !

@ShareLove thanks, trying very hard to stay positive! felt so bummed yesterday but just fingers crossed that the increased dosage (though doesn't seem a lot of increase) will have made a noticeable difference to follicle sizes for tomorrow.

I came into this stage so naive - didnt think it would be so stressful!!

But yea i understand that some follicles could be empty as well, so have literally just been thinking of worse case scenarios yesterday!!

I hope to get some amazing quality eggs and embryos too! And yes you are right, it's exciting but i am more scared to find out now!

Yesterday's scan was much better thanks 😊 though still not where I'd like it to be, but the nurse said that this is what they wanted to see from 2 days ago so we are going in the right direction.

They were debating if to increase my dosage or not as I think some of my follicles are still a bit slow but I didn't get a call to increase so I will be staying put. Good thing is they counted 15 follicles this time so the increased dosage must be working.

My left side seems a bit slower tho... lazy lefty. Got another scan on Monday! So will know definite then if I am EC Weds or Fri. Already told myself it's gonna be Friday so if it's Weds EC then that's a big bonus for me!

Will let you know more on Mondays scan!

@ngy21 oh wow 15 follicles that’s great news so far ! I’m glad all went better on Friday !
I started my AF 3 days ago so now waiting for day 21 to start my tablets , and next week I will get a confirmation of my zoom call appoitment to go through the FET cycle and what to take and when so I am exited again 😃 seems forever though ! I hate waiting around ! Everyone else is getting pregnant I feel super jelous of my friends getting pregnant and I am not , I feel so left out ! 😔

@ShareLove I feel you! My friends are actually on their seconds now 😶 so yea... definitely feel left out! I wanted to enjoy the journey of one child with them but that's gone now!!

And yep 15 follicles so I am happy. Just need them to grow!

And YES! Your AF arrived! That was my most dreaded wait, waiting for AF. Does this mean once your on ur tablets on CD21 you have set times for FET? Or do u need to wait for another bleed?

Keep chin up! You know you have your little Frosties waiting for you so your time will come!

How many rounds do you get with the nhs?

I am unsure how they class a round. If it's stims to transfer, or is every transfer equals a round?

@ngy21 hey ! Yes I am taking some tablets on day 21 but I’m not sure which tablets that’s why I’m having zoom appoitment and I’m guessing that I take the tablets ( norethisterone) which stops the AF from starting , so they can time it with their schedule , from day 21 for 3 weeks and then have another AF to clean out the uterus propley and then that’s the cycle I’ll be having trasfer after bleeding stops and thicken the lining up again for few days with added progesterone too, tahts all I know so far . Will know much more after appoitment .

I get 2 round but can apply for third too if needed !

I am really unsure what counts as round one , I will need to ask when I have my appoitment ! I need to know if after egg collection is one cycle down? Or is it after trasfer ? How can they count it as cycle one if I haven’t even transferred any embryos ? If anything it’s their own fault for not checking me earlier to avoid OHSS , so it’s not my fault I lost one round really , it’s that counts as one , but I really hope it’s not counted yet as I havent had my trasfer yet ! I hope we both get our rainbow babies ( pregnancy’s ) this year that would be amazing !

@ShareLove yea I was thinking about the rounds, I always thought in my head that you get meds once, stims, get embryos and then each round was counted as a transfer. Dunno why, but I think (hopefully) I am wrong. A cycle or a round should be classed as from Meds, to transfer. And should be unlimited transfer for 1 round?

Yes I hope we get our pregnancies this year as well! If I need to do another round of stims I might push for a short protocol.

Have you got anything planned for distraction until your ET?! At least before there were injections daily! I think that's how I'm coping with my wait 😂 counting down the injections

I was reading on internet and I have read that one cycle counts only after transfer , so if you can not trasfer because of OHSS risk then it’s not counted as round one so I’m very happy 🙂🙏🏻 It’s only counted as round one if none of your eggs fertilise and you can’t do transfer anyways .

I was on short protocol and it was so easy and short I liked it

And noo I don’t have anything planned while I’m waiting unfortunately , I’m just trying to live day by day lol , I work 4 days on 4 off so I work long days while I work which keeps me busy ! I’m really strong person mentally and I just get on with it without distraction . 😁

I cannot wait to be a mum to my embies ! And I’m sure we both will some day ! 😍

Yes!! i think i can do with short protocol cus the long one just adds another 3 weeks of down reg. i get they are trying to take full control but i have a feeling if i wasn't suppressing my natural hormones and doing stims, my eggs would have grown at the rate they wanted me to on the low dose.

That's good you can keep yourself busy without additional distraction!

Yes hopefully we will both be able to be mummies to embies!! one thing i definitely want to do if/when i get my BFP.... baby show! haha

I just had my last follicle scan with EC confirmed for Friday! Some new follicles have been popping up at each scan but no doubt they will be too small. Finally got the go ahead to trigger tonight, can't wait!

How's things on your end?

I am doing okay ! Just waiting for my zoom appoitment next week or so and talk through my FET cycle and just waiting for day 21 so I can start up again with some tablets ! I’ll feel much better after my appoitment when I know a clear plan !

Will keep you updated! I'm just waiting on call for time of trigger. I actually thought my transfer would be Tuesday next week but it's actually Wednesday (if we get to this stage).

How many updates did you get from embryologist? I imagine as standard you will get fertilisation rate and blast rate but did you get a day 3?

@ngy21 hey I got update on day 1 (next day ) and 2 and nothing else until day 5

I just had my EC today and all went well! The cannula was the worse part, but everything after was good!

I got 15 eggs in total and will get the call for fertilisation rate tomorrow, after that i don't think i get an update until day of transfer which is crazy!!

I am low risk of OHSS which is good - might eat my salty foods tonight to help reduce risk of any fluid build up.

Hope all is well for you and you don't have too long to wait for your zoom calls and meds to start again!

@ngy21 omg wow 15 eggs I’m soooooo happy for you!!!! It was worth waiting for couple of extra days !! I’m really really happy for you ! Hopefully most of them will fertilise !! Are you doing normal ivf or icsi ? My best embryo came from icsi ! Good luck for the update from Embryologist ! Wishing you luck lovely

@ngy21 and yes it’s crazy that you only get update tomorrow as so many normally die off every day after the first day ! I had 14 mature eggs 11 fertilised and 8 left on day 3,4,5 ! But only 5 out of 8 available to freeze and other 3 not great quality to freeze !

I will probably ask if I can get a day 3 but I imagine it's because they don't want to disturb them.

I will be doing just IVF I believe, there was no reason to do ICSI apparently as it would have been nice to have a few for ICSI.

I will keep you posted! If all goes well hoping to transfer on Wednesday. Start the pessaries on Sunday! I asked if I could take them all at night but she said no 😢 I need to take them 6-8 hours apart. I guess there is a little bit of flexibility in this.

Forgot to update you, i had the call on Saturday morning regarding fertilisation rate, so out of the 15 eggs, 13 were mature and 10 fertilised. Happy with the result so far!

I don't get a day 3 update (which would have been today), so next update is Wednesday morning with hopes of a time to go in for transfer! This is the only time my husband is able to come into theatre with me.

I am a little anxious, nervous... but at same time my mindset is a bit like whatever happens, happens... it is literally out of our hands now lol.

I started the pessaries yesterday.... they are very messy indeed. Night time one is ok, but the AM and afternoon one with all the walking around etc... messy!!

Also, dunno if you had this, but i've been so constipated! So uncomfortable and bloated.

@ShareLove yea i am quite happy with 10 fertilised as i only expected 10 mature eggs from EC! But i know drop off rates are crazy.... so although i'd loveeee to have 5 blasts on day 5/6, i think that is gonna be more of a dream! I'd be lucky to have transfer and anything to freeze at all!

Don't be jealous! I am so nervous cause you're right, could be pregnant in 2 weeks time but as this is a Fresh transfer, i am nervous! As people say FET seems to be better cause your body is in a better place as well.

@ngy21 hey ! I did not get an option to test for PGT , did you !! I wish I had an option 😔 and yes that’s the only positive I’m hanging on to , that FET is better as body is recovered and not pumped full of hormones , but I know that fresh is just as good as long as you don’t have OHSS and you feel fine xx

@ShareLove i had asked about it but they don't offer it on the NHS... had thought about perhaps just paying for it but heard pros and cons. And was also advised as i am still under 35, it's a bit of a waste to pay for PGT-A. I wanted to as i know it means less chance of miscarriage/chem! Oh wells... suppose have to go with the flow

@ShareLove hey!! i did my ET today!!!! officially in the TWW....

Had some good news from the embryology team! Originally had 1 to transfer and 4 to freeze. When i went in for my ET with my husband, we were told an additional one made it to freeze stage so we have 5 frosties! Over the moon! Glad this hurdle is past, and we have 6 chances without having to visit the EC again!
