Oh wow you are on loads of vitamins and tablets! I was thinking of changing to like a pregnacare brand after transfer so i don't have to take loads of separate ones. Are you going to continue yours throughout the whole of pregnancy or switch up when you get to 2nd tri?

I didn't take the pen out for 10-15 min before hand, do i need to for the meds to take effect or is this purely for comfort reasons?

And yep i am on the same brand pessaries, Utrogestan! Will deffo bring it up with nurse and suggest 3 pessaries same time every night.

@ngy21 yes I am planning to take the same vitamins all the way through pregnancy but first I am ofcourse going to ask my doctors if it’s okay to do so
The reason why I take seperate vitamins is because the combined vitamins have so little amount of each vitamin and I can never find 1 a day vitamin where I am happy with the amount I get . And for me quality is the most important , organic or as natural to nature as possible .
And the ovaleap pen , you don’t have to take it out of the fridge 10-15 min before , it’s just for comfort thing , because it’s supposed to feel more uncomftable when it’s chilled and cold .
And good idea to ask your doctor about the progesterone , I’m pretty sure you can do it all at once a day instead of 3 times a day .
Can I ask you how old you are ? I am 29 years old

@ShareLove just saw your vitamin photos! i'm coming to the end of my CoQ10 so might look into the ones you have.

I agree i feel the ones that are "all in one" have too little of everything. I will double check with nurses too as one of them did mention pregnacare (but mainly for the intake amount of folic acid)

I think i might start taking the pen out 10 mins before, yesterdays injections was probably the most uncomfortable yet!

I am 31 :) unexplained...all the checks we did were all good. One point i had high prolactin but they weren't worried about it since i was still ovulating. And recent bloods have shown my prolactin is in range now... Which makes me worry about transfer incase it is my uterus that's the issue.

Oh also quick question - could i ask what time you triggered? I know a lot of people trigger in the evening around 8pm ish, seen some as late as 10-11pm.

Ahh that's a nice early time for EC, i hope i will be same as well, wake up nice and early to get the eggs out and have the rest of the day to recover... and anxiously wait for results for next day....

I've booked 3 days off so i have plenty of time to recover but now that i think about it, i'll probs end up going crazy waiting around

And that’s great that you booked 3 days off , you’ll need it , I’m glad I booked full week off as I have physical job lifting etc so didn’t want to twist my ovaries as they were little sore . But if I worked in office , I could have gone to work straight away
You’ll have to take trigger exactly at the right time as they say , mine was 19-45 Saturday night and 8-15 Monday morning collection . X

@ngy21 heyy ! My day didn’t go as planned , I’m sooo upset! Before the transfer they did a scan and I have fluid build up , even though I have no pain , so no transfer . I will have FET in like 8 weeks

@ngy21 I’m sooo upset and angry that they didn’t check my results or scan me earlier before asking me to come in for a fresh transfer … it’s like a kick in the stomach knowing I have to wait like 8 weeks more now I know it’s for the best as I don’t want to put myself at risk getting serious OHSS but I am broken still . But I did get 5 embryos to freeze so that’s the only good thing ! How are you ?!

@ShareLove thanks for letting me know about your EC times. I think it will be more than likely that i will be getting a morning EC.

I thought about you today and then saw you post! I am so sorry that your day didnt go as planned!! what a ball ache having to wait another 8 weeks...

That is so annoying - if they were afraid of risks etc they should have definitely scanned you. I mean they took your blood so they would have suspected some risk. So dread on the day of ET you get this news!!

I guess like you it's for the best - have they given you a new date or do you need to start taking meds to prep for ET? Maybe during this time you can let your hair down a little and perhaps even squeeze in a mini holiday before transfer!!!

5 embryos to freeze!!! I kid you not, i told my husband that if we had that many embryos i will be over the moon.

We are with NHS so get 3 transfer rounds free, but we get 3 years of storage so if we had more than 3 embryos, the additional ones just means we would have to pay for the ET and whatever drugs that goes with it.

I am feeling ok - i think cause the ovaries are responding to meds i can feel it slightly, like fluid/tingles on my ovaries. I take it as a good thing and i am responding well? Just hope i respond well enough for EC on 13th.

What are your next steps now? is it all a waiting game?

I have calmed down a little now and have accepted the situation as sad as I might be , there is nothing I can do !

And yes they took my bloods on egg collection day which means then had 5 days to check my results on the computer ,but NO they decided to pull my results up 5 minutes before my procedure and then realise my numbers are out !! Why couldn’t they check that yesterday ? Then they wouldn’t of have to let me down 10 mins before ! I got all ready in my gown and everything , and 2 minutes before they said sorry your numbers are out so we have to cancel
I felt really disappointed !

I had 8 embryos blasts but because it’s freeze all now , they only froze 5 because they were great quality , other 3 not good enough for freezing . I am really happy with 5 , really great grading too ! My best embie is AA quality !

The plans now is to stop taking my medicine from today and wait for my new cycle to start in like 10 days from now , and then ring clinic on the 1st day of my new cycle and then they will prescribe me some hormone tablets to take from day 21, for 3 weeks ! And then a scan next day and a week later transfer , so all together 8 weeks until trasfer .I’m so happy at least I have so many embryos and don’t have to inject anything or go through egg collection any more ! . It will be so much easier than fresh cycle ! Plus my body will be recovered from extra hormones which will help my body so much for my next FET !

I’m glad your stims are going well I hope you have lots of good eggs growing there not long before your scan are you planning to do fresh cycle or FET ? I really hope you won’t get OHSS as it’s so heartbreaking to have to wait longer ! But it sound like you’re in better hands as you’re having regular scans so hopefully you’ll be alright

@ShareLove that's a beautiful embaby!! I really am excited and can't wait to see ours too if we get any... I'm so glad you have gone past the biggest hurdles (injections and getting great quality embies to freeze)! I hope it makes your wait easier knowing they are ready and waiting for you.

I hope you didn't have to pay for the meds?! Like you said if you had been scanned and monitored earlier this could have been prevented.

My scans are on Wednesday and Friday. I can't believe its weekend already (they usually go quick anyway 😂) and before I know it, it'll be a new week (gonna feel like a longggg Monday and Tuesday I think 😂) and my scan is Wednesday!! I'm getting nervous that my follies aren't gonna be at the size they need to be for the following Monday to EC. I've kinda drilled in my head that Monday is the day for EC and it's so bad 😶

That's good that you have a plan in place tho. It's just a waiting game for your AF I guess. Once that's here then at least you have a more solid timeline. I remember having to wait for AF so I can start DR injections on CD21. Worse part of the waiting.

I think I'm starting to get sick of the injections now... not yesterday but day before was the first time I got a bit annoyed at the whole situation. Not sure why maybe it's the hormones 🤔 but other than that... hopefully only 7-8 days worth of injections left!!!

I have however, heard that FET seems to have slightly higher success rates, and I think it's because your body is in better condition???

@ngy21 you know the first few days when I did my ovaleap injections , I got a headache every day for the first couple of days and then my body got used to it after that

I can’t belive you’re in front of me now when I was in front of you by couple of weeks I’m going backwards and you going forwards so looks like you’ll be the first one out of us 2 for embryo trasfer after all , if all goes well ofcourse and I’m sure it will

Don’t worry about your follicles on Monday , because whatever happens they will give you higher / lower does as needed for the eggs to be ready for your egg collection day ! That’s the benefit you have !!! You get checked regularly , so lucky ! Nothing can really go wrong when they are monitoring you ! They can always adjust medicine if needed ! And lucky they can avoid OHSS for you as best as possible because they will spot early signs !

Yes now it’s me waiting for my cycle to start haha I’m in your shoes now 2 weeks ago now I know how you felt waiting for your cycle to start desperately

I see it as in 4 weeks time is when I'll be testing, and if it's negative then the next transfer will be around another 4 weeks time (me making stuff up, I don't exactly know how it works but it sounds like it could be true😂😂😂)

Yes we shall get a more clear idea next week with what's happening! It's so bad my head is constantly thinking about this treatment that I'm not really thinking about work. I can't wait until I'm in the 2WW (if I get there) so I can focus on work again. Just been too consumed with IVF and injections.

If they did tell me I have OHSS and need to wait for a FET. I'm deffo taking advantage and booking a holiday in straight away.

My husband and I went John Lewis today and I couldn't resist the temptation but to go look at prams 😭 I used the excuse of "shopping for niece 1st birthday" 🙄 worked tho and he was secretly loving it as well. We ofcourse didn't spend too much time in that section looking at prams as we know it's too early to even think about it... random rambling soz😂

@ngy21 oh I know what you mean about seeing baby stuff in shops I always dream about which pram I would buy , how I would decorate the bedroom , what clothes I would buy !!! But I have stopped doing that ! It hurts too much ! I walked straight past it ! I’m just protecting myself from hurt … but it’s so nice to look and dream and to know that ONE day 😍🥰

And to be honest I think how the fresh cycle works is , if the first cycle fails , they will want you to have minimum of one normal cycle before doing another cycle or possibly 2 normal cycles , even 3 in some clinics . But normally it’s 1-2 normal cycles before attempting new ivf cycle after a failed one which is a bummer ! I know !!! I would want to jump straight into it but they won’t do that as you body needs to re-adjust back to normal before starting stims again so if fresh cycle fails you, you could be waiting 8weeks before starting up again or at least minimum 4 weeks

Unfortunelty I won’t be booking a holiday as I need to save my holidays for my next ivf cycle and I haven’t told work so I don’t want to take sick days off as they will start questioning me why . But if I book my own holidays then nobody will have any suspicion of something going on for me , I just don’t want extra pressure and people asking when it fails ect 🙂

@ShareLove I agree the last thing you want is added pressure! Luckily I work from home so am able to get away for appointments.

Yea I try so hard to not look at baby stuff but when I say everyone is having babies... it is so literal! Recently someone close to me gave birth to a baby girl (yesterday) and we do have a birthday coming up in a few days 😅 it's just too hard to avoid looking. Hoping next month when I look it will be for myself and not someone else 😭😭😭

Since u have 5 frozen i am sure it will be a while, if at all, that you would need to do another IVF cycle?! Do you mean IVF cycle with the whole shebang (stims and EC?!)

Just did my injections at 8pm. Buserelin is starting to annoy me now, pass 2 days it's been uncomfortable but Ova has been a breeze today 👌🏼

@ngy21 iv just been reading online and I just found out that if you’re doing FET you can start a new cycle straight away after a failed one 😀 that’s great news , sorry I confused you , yeah you have to wait for 1-2 natural cycles - only if you doing fresh cycle with stimming and egg collection! So in my case I could do FETS back to back because I already have frozen embies ! and I wouldn’t have to waste any months after a failed FET cycle that’s how I understand ! And same for you ! Whatever embies you’ll get to freeze after your fresh cycle (if fresh one fails ) , you could go for FET and you can do it month after month without having to waste time . That’s good isn’t it !
So if my FET fails first time , then I’ll start my next FET cycle straight away when my next menstrual cycle starts 😍 I

Today's buserelin stung... so been getting a bit annoyed with it 😂😂 the injection site was bleeding as well so probs didn't do the needle properly, but can feel the skin being slightly itchy.

3 more days of injections before scan! Thinking to add in some activities for myself these few days to keep busy. Mind is running wild

I just got back from my first scan (day 8 scan) and am a bit bummed tbh. Firstly, thought i'd have more follicles (i think they only measured 10-11??? i was writing the numbers down as they were measuring which was a bit strange!)

And secondly, follicles are on the smaller side.....sigh....

They are ranging from 4mm-12mm, so i think some are where they need to be but a lot of them on my left side were at 4mm. It's looking unlikely that my EC is on Monday, and would most likely be Wednesday or Friday... (thought i was gonna be done with injections sooooon )

I should be getting a call this afternoon to up my dosage of Ovaleap, and hopefully respond better and have better results on Friday.

Sorry for the rant! This just put a bummer on my day but am hoping Friday is gonna be better.

Hope you're doing ok though, those healthy blasts are waiting for you :)

@ngy21 awww we don’t need any more bad news after mine but yeah my follicles were 12-24 mm on day (10) so 2 days after yours . So yeah looks like yours are on the small size because I don’t think your 12mm biggest follicle would grow up to 24 mm like mine was , in 2 extra days . But hold onto hope !! You’re lucky that they checked you on day 8 , because now they can increase your dose !! And they will grow a lot faster in the next few days now ! But yeah your collection will most likely be delayed by few days by the looks of it .
They like some of the follicles to be between 18-22mm ideally on collection day !
On day 10 I had 24 follicles between 12-24 mm so quite a lot isn’t it !
But please don’t worry ! They know what they are doing !! You’ll be fine !

Can I ask how many follicles did you have ? Did you say 10-11?
And how did you write down the numbers while they were scanning you ?
😀 don’t worry okay 😍 just wait and see ! I know it’s hard but you’ll get there with more medication ! You’ll just need few extra days !

@ShareLove yea looks like there will be a delay but i'm hoping not for too long! I just got the call to up the dosage to 187.5units from 150units of ovaleap.

I was a bit gutted when she said 4mm for a few of them on my left as i knew that's pretty small esp for day 8! Hoping they'll catch up... just sucks to need to do more injections and over the weekend as well! Worse case scenario is EC on Friday, but yea i guess it's for the best.

I think i had about 10-11, i thought i had more as my first ever scan when they assessed me prior to treatment i had about 16, guess everything month is different!

They handed me a board with pen and paper, whilst i was sat in the chair and they scanned, i just wrote stuff down lol!!

Did you have to do stims on day of trigger as well?

Just hope my follicles will grow to a nice size with good eggs, that's all i can focus on right now! Next scan Friday so it's not too long to go. I booked myself in for a head massage tomorrow to make my week go quicker lol.
