Not sure if there is already a sept thread running?

I'm due to start down reg on the 16th looking to transfer September.
My last transfer was April, I've name changed since then. Last fet failed, I had issues getting my lining up to a suitable thickness and in the end they transferred at 8mm. I had spotting on and off and then I had an extremely faint positive, that same day I started bleeding heavily and it was all over.
I have 8 embryos left and just want to get going again now!

Anyone else starting a fet soon? Would be nice to have people to chat with whilst going through this again 😊

Hi ladies,

I haven't been on for a while and haven't had a chance to read up but will do tonight. Just had a quick question. I went for my lining scan today at cd10 and it was 6mm. She's asked for me to come back on Monday to be rescanned as ideally they like it to be 7.5mm. Feeling so nervous that it will be a cancelled cycle 😞 I've never had any issues with lining before ! She's upped my progynova to 4x a day now. What cd were you all scanned and how many mm were your linings?

@Prayingforabubba I have had issues with my lining this time whereas I've never had any issues before. My scan on cd10 I was 5.3 or 5.6 I can't remember. I was upped to 4x progynova on cd 15. I'm now cd 26 and my lining only got to 7.8 on cd 24 and they still want to go ahead with transfer. I'm not so optimistic about it at all but yeah not a lot I can do as it's my last NHS cycle so yeah I'm booked in for transfer on Wednesday now nearly 2 weeks after I was meant to have it. But my FET before this one I was scanned on cd 12 wasn't thick enough had another scan at cd 15 and then i was good to go so I wouldn't worry about it yet you still have time.

@Alexm06 Thankyou for your reply. Wow why did they wait until cd15 to increase your progynova? Wow two whole weeks after. Hopefully it will be okay and increase some more before your transfer on Wednesday. I wonder because we are not having a natural cycle that our linings not playing ball! 😩

@Prayingforabubba @Alexm06 I've had lining issues in all thre of my fets, this one included. We transferred at 7.8mm this time, otd is Monday so no idea if it's worked or not yet !

It's such a worry over whether the cycle is going to get cancelled or not and then if they do go ahead with transfer you feel at a disadvantage. But some women have a naturally thing lining or for some reason their body just doesn't respond/absorb the estrogen. This time I was on the highest dose 16mg daily plus patches, my lining was thinner this time than the last fet with a lower dose! But it is possible to get pregnant with a thinner lining, yes it's less likely but it can and does happen. The main thing is that the lining appears otherwise healthy and has the three stripes. Thank you @whataglouriousthingtobe I'm going to try and insert the progynova vaginally. It was quite the shock yesterday as it had never been an issue before but I guess it's part of the rollercoaster journey that comes with ivf. You've done so well not testing! Wishing you the best for Monday x

@Prayingforabubba god knows they aren't the best clinic so I plan on moving to another one if I end up using the last 3 embryos this cycle. As I lost one in defrost I except to lose one again. I had the tiniest amount of spotting today like it was barely anything but that's my sign that my periods coming but I've started the cyclogest and lubion this eve which should stop it but yeah just makes me less positive about this whole cycle.

@whatagloriousthingtobe yeah I'm really not positive at all. My lining has always been fine just not this cycle it jut really frustrates me that they wanna go ahead when I would probably have a better chance on my next cycle. Yeah I think other then the thickeness all is good I just feel like I'm wasting 2 embryos

Sorry to be a downer guys it's just really upsetting me today

Thank you everybody, over the moon but also very anxious. My scan isn't until the end of the month so it's going to be a long couple of weeks !

Thanks for the well wishes. Extremely paranoid atm. I knew I'd be worried but didn't realise quite how much !

So update on me. I had another scan on Monday and my lining had shot up to 8.4mm! Booked in for FET on Monday. Yesterday I tested positive for covid on a lateral flow test. Waiting on a pcr at the moment but most likely my cycle will be cancelled. 😞

@Prayingforabubba oh no! What bad luck! I hope the pcr is negative, I don't think the lateral flows are too reliable are they ?

@whataglouriousthingtobe I'm a teacher and have been exposed so I suspect that it is could have been covid. I'm so upset. I have some symptoms but not the 'expected ones' so I think is safe to assume I do have it.

The cycle is cancelled and all medication stopped. We were so close 💔
