Hello 👋🏼!! About to embark on the absolutely terrifying process of IVF in June (once my next cycle finishes) and though it might be nice to get chatting to some people going through the same? Meds due tomorrow and bloods booked in for Saturday - Let me know if you are in the same boat would be great to get some support from some fellow infertility warriors ❤️x

@KellyM88 I think mine is a mobile number weirdly but hopefully your clinic will give the information on an automated message. Also check your paperwork, they gave me some info after both my EC and ET which had the OOH number on there too.

@chloedancer897 Agree this can be super lonely sometimes, which is why these forums are so helpful to be able to chat to others in the same situation.

@PurpleUnicorn01 How are you getting on? What stage are you at now?

@KellyM88 Sorry just seen your updated message. Check your paperwork and if there’s nothing on there you could try your local EPU or 111. Good luck. x

@RiverRiot, i am well thank you. I am behind all of you. I have my first injection on Thursday. I have yo go in the morning to the hospital to collect all the medication etc

@RiverRiot thanks I have had more and a small clot I don't feel like it's a 111 don't think it serious just a failed ICIS thing so just sent an email to clinic to phone me in the morning and we will go from there I'm going to take it easy and enjoy my Sunday with the hubby ☺️

@KellyM88 Sounds like a good plan and good on you for being calm and positive. Hopefully the clinic will call you promptly in the morning.

@PurpleUnicorn01 Oh exciting! 🤗 Are you stimming or down regging? I also wish I’d have kept a diary during the process. I told myself I’d do yoga every day too and never did it once! 🙈 I think the important thing is to do things that make you happy during the injections because once EC comes around your mind starts to wander.

@RiverRiot downregs for 2.5 weeks first then stims for a couple weeks i assume. Not looking forward to downregs. I hope they don't have to many side affects. Im doing weekly acupuncture which i love. Its so relaxing.

@PurpleUnicorn01 I found it all ok DR my only side effect was I was hot one moment the cold the next. Stims I had nothing!

Good luck and acupuncture sounds lovely last time when we had Annabel I did meditation but this time my head space is very different with Annabel passing away that I kind of dipped in and out of it. If this is a fail then when we start FET I definitely am going back to it!

@PurpleUnicorn01 Don’t worry, the 2.5 weeks will fly by! I didn’t down reg but for that and stims make sure you drink a lot of water as this will help with side affects. Enjoy the acupuncture, I’m sure this will help too.

Well as for me, I was suppose to do ET yesterday but had to stop and freeze all my embryos. During the process of transfer, the embryologist told me there was spot of fresh blood in the uterus which could be risky for implantation. My clinic gave me appointment for next week to discuss what’s next. Am so anxious. Is anyone know what could be done in this situation?

I'm currently in the 2ww after ET on Saturday. Also has 2 Frosties which I'm pleased about. Testing a week on Saturday and it feels so far away!

I've just had my transfer on Monday n terribly nervous with every twitch. Wishing everyone luck. It's really not easy

@kemqueen they had talked about doing that with us on Sunday n freeze the embryos n wait to next month due to some pain I had n I was gutted (however changed their minds on monday). So i know how gutted u must feel but hopefully they can inplant them soon 😘

Im starting down regs tmrw but have a stinking cold! Fingers crossed for a bfp for you all.

Hi everyone, been on the stims for 6 days, had my 2nd scan today but unfortunately I have had a poor response with only one follicle so they have cancelled this cycle. We are meeting with the consultant in 2 weeks time to see how we proceed; I've been told we were on highest dosage so next step could be donor eggs. Gutted and so annoyed with my body that it couldn't do this one thing. Wishing the best of luck to you all on your journeys ❤️

Hi guys so just an update, i have been prescribed superacur 300iu and menapur 150iu, had my first injection today. Is that similar to what u ladies had? X

@PurpleUnicorn01 I was on suprecur, 0.5ml while on down regulation, then reduced to 0.25ml when on stims. I didn’t have menopur. Stims I was on 300iu of Gonal F.

This actually feels crazy all of this. It's hard not to get excited

Hello all,
Just wanted to update you all it was my OTD and as predicted it was negative 😢 they are going to wrap the round up and we are awaiting a appointment with a consultant for our FET treatment plan. It was harder than I thought even though I knew it was happening how much more heartache can one couple go through with out daughter passing away last year too but suppose all we can do is brush ourselves done and start again!

@KellyM88 and @Otter3101 I am so very sorry for you both. This process is absolutely brutal!

@Otter3101 Sometimes a protocol and/or drugs change can make all the difference so there may be hope yet. Could you also ask if you might be a candidate for mild/natural modified IVF?

@KellyM88 Do you have anymore frozen embryos? It’s obviously not at all the point as you so desperately want the one you already have in you to work but perhaps they could look at upping your progesterone next time if so?

@Kemqueen I’m sorry you had to have a freeze all but I think you may be able to get going with FET fairly soon and statistically frozen embryos have a slightly better success rate so fingers crossed for you.

@RiverRiot yes we are so lucky to have 6 frozen 2 of day 5 and 4 at day 4 never done FET before when we had IVF with Annabel we was so lucky that it happened on our first attempt and crinone worked but that was 7 years ago so maybe my body has changed who knows!

Ladies how often do you have scans once you're on stims before egg collection

Hi all

Sorry to hear of people struggling with the process and/or getting bad news :( It’s strange how attached I feel to some of you when I don’t know your real name, where you live or what you look like!

I’m good - absolutely shattered though. I can’t stay awake in the evenings, struggling to wake up in the mornings but sleeping poorly at night. Need the loo a lot and starting to get queasy. I’m 5+1 weeks today and it all feels very unreal. I’ve limited myself to pregnancy tests only every other day this week (cheapo boots strips not the frers I was using every day last week 😂) but have another clearblue digital to use tmw. Hoping it shows 3+ tmw (was 2-3 weeks on OTD last Friday). I’m panicking at every twinge.

@PurpleUnicorn01 I had a scan on my 5th day of stims, then every other day until they decided I was ready for egg collection.
