Hello 👋🏼!! About to embark on the absolutely terrifying process of IVF in June (once my next cycle finishes) and though it might be nice to get chatting to some people going through the same? Meds due tomorrow and bloods booked in for Saturday - Let me know if you are in the same boat would be great to get some support from some fellow infertility warriors ❤️x

You’re technically 11DPO (and I’ve seen other women get positives from 5dp5dt) so should be a pretty accurate. Really hope it’s a sticky bean!

@Ofpalestsilver Brown spotting could be the pessaries (can irritate the cervix I believe) or implantation? Fingers tightly crossed for you!

I’m having a bit of a wobble today. Have been really positive up to this point but woke up with absolutely no boob pain. Usually comes later so didn’t think much of it but this afternoon noticed they’re also looking a bit smaller and I just feel a bit different today.

Had a bit of a cry and was adamant I was going to test in the morning to put myself out of my misery either way.
Like @busybee2102 I’d just like to know if anything is happening.
Have calmed down now and think I may be able to hold off til Weds but will see how I feel in the morning.

Sorry to ask but this as TMI but is anyone else having trouble with the pessaries? I feel like I’m losing a lot of ‘gunk’ and they’re also giving me a burning/itchy feeling. It goes after an hour or two but then starts again when it’s time for the next one. 😩

@RiverRiot I hope so too, however I know there’s nothing I can do about it either way. Trying to be pragmatic about it. Just have everything crossed that it sticks. I was obsessively googling each day of the process, and saw so many BFPs for 6dp5dt that I thought ‘s*d it’

@Coops0406 It was pretty exciting. The only other time we had anything that looked like a positive in the 3.5 years of TTC before IVF it was barely there, more than a squinter but a vvvfl. I’m undecided when to test, but possibly Monday, Wednesday, Friday (OTD). I have three more FRERs, a pack of 5 boots test strips and a Clear Blue digital, although the digi I plan to use on Friday. I went a bit mad in Boots yesterday, although in my defence, the FRERs were double packs but in the shelf spot for singles, so I didn’t actually mean to buy 4 of them!!

@RiverRiot We cross posted…! Sorry to hear that you’ve had a rough day, I was a bit like that yesterday, hence the test this morning. Not advocating early testing though - I know why they want us to wait. Normally I’m not a rule breaker (just ask my students, I’m a teacher who is a stickler for the rules!!!) My boobs are back to normal, pain has diminished hugely, and they are normal sized.

Have you been using the progesterone as pessaries or suppositories? I tried them in the front once, and hated the feeling of it sort of dripping out, even while lying down. I’ve been taking them the back way (which I was originally horrified about!) and haven’t had any issues with them that way so far.

I believe most of us here has had the experience of stimulations. Am still taking injections and egg collection is Tuesday 😱. How is the experience and also my boobs are so sore and am heavily bloated like I can’t wait!

@Kemqueen stims were my least favourite part of this so far. Boob pain and bloating yup! Not fun.

I was terrified of egg collection, never had any form of sedation or anaesthesia before which was why I was so worried, but the egg collection itself was absolutely fine. Once they put in the first med into the cannula in my hand - which burned I have to admit - I was then pretty much out of it within seconds! I have a couple of vague memories of being in there while it was happening but that’s it. Before I knew it I was being wheeled back to my cubicle and finally being allowed water to drink! I was a bit tender afterwards but was discharged at about 11:30am. Took it easy the rest of the day and the day following.

@busybee2102 thanks for sharing this. I feel better that it’s not just me feeling the signs. Time seems slow but it’s flying by. I remembered when I joined this group and had to wait for roughly 3 weeks before I start. It seems so far away! But now am almost through with the first stage. To others who are new, just don’t worry and relax. before you know it, you also will be waiting for EC. Am so happy!

@Coops0406 I’m actually thinking of testing tomorrow but now I’m not sure if I want to know if it’s negative or not haha!

@RiverRiot sorry to hear you’re having a miserable day today. I go up and down like that as well where I feel sure it has been a failure. Then I have a moment of hope and I hate myself for it because I know I’ll be crushed. It’s hard.

Abs yup the pessaries are a pain in the… proverbial. I prefer going up the back as otherwise I find they slip out and I worry they don’t work. Though I’m finding them like a bloody enema now. Bloody hell

Well it’sBFN. Obviously incredibly disappointing but unsurprising.

I’ve not tested yet, still convinced it’ll be negative though so am trying to think of positive things like being able to enjoy the summer before the first FET. Small mercies.

@busybee2102 Thank you. Yep my rather grumpy nurse was adamant it had to be front door. But f*#k her, I took your advice this morning and feel so much better for it!

@Kemqueen Ooh good luck for EC tomorrow! Mine went much smoother than I was expecting. Drink lots of water afterwards and some coconut water too (something about the electrolytes). I took some in with me and had it as I was coming round. By the time I got home and had some lunch I felt absolutely right as rain and would never have known I’d had minor surgery just hours before.
Hoping it goes well for you and you get lots of lovely mature eggies! 🥚

@RiverRiot - thank you. I've actually had a bit of a plot twist today and it's possible I read the stick wrong in the dark. So tbc!

And yes, back door pessary is much much better. It keeps falling out when I do the front way!

Afternoon all. So, 8dp5dt / 13dpo and I have tested each of the last three days. Lines are getting darker, which I know is no indication of viability but it pleases me to see it.

Well done for being strong @RiverRiot! Are you going to wait until OTD?

@Ofpalestsilver I hope you are ok? I’m intrigued as to what the plot twist was!

@busybee2102 I looked at the pregnancy test again later in the morning and I saw a faint line. I wondered if I missed it in the morning. Did another one today and another faint line. Not sure what it means so buying a different brand of tests for tomorrow haha

Morning guys! Just though it I'd update you all...my boobs stopped hurting on monday, spots have been appearing, my weight decreasing and I had a horrible feeling last night that absolutely nothing is going on...we decided to test this morning as I'm not in work and couldn't face testing on Friday and having to rush into work without having time for it to sink in. So at 9dp5dt it's a BFN ☹️ a very obvious BFN. I guess it was expected and I have a couple of days for it to sink in before I re-test.

Oh @Coops0406 I am so so sorry. I was hoping with every fibre of my being that things would work out for you. I’m sending you massive virtual hugs. ❤️❤️

Not great news from me. Started spotting on Mon night and heavier all day yesterday. Tested this morning, faint BFP on a FRER. BFN on one cheapy and the absolute squintiest of squinters on another cheapy (why do one test when you can do three eh?! 🤦🏻‍♀️) so am fully braced for a chemical here.

@RiverRiot a bit of a bummer really....I've been expecting it but still hoping. It may change, who knows, but I have a couple of days for this to sink in before I test on Friday.

Nearly everyone I have spoken to who has had a baby from ivf had spotting/bleeding in this 2 week wait, even thinking it was AF, so it may actually be a good sign...stay positive. How bizarre that the tests are completely different! I used a cheap one but it was one of those early ones that detects from 25iu hcg (something like that, I can't quite remember the units!) so I'm guessing it's pretty accurate

Thanks @Coops0406 Just checked and my cheapies are 20mIU, I think FRERs are about 6mIU. Hence the price tag of them, I guess.

I have heard of women having faint positives on OTD and it being OK, however, I think that’s pretty rare.

@RiverRiot @Coops0406 this shit is a rollercoaster and I’m sorry that you’re currently feeling the dip. I can understand doing three tests. I did two this AM, too different new brands (generic Numark and a Clearblue) after a different brand the previous two days. Found myself not trusting any of them until today.

@RiverRiot I went out with my nephew this morning...he's 2 and such a joy! And the working from home this afternoon. Just going to forget it, carry on and wait to confirm on Friday. Am ringing a few places now to see where would be the best place to go as Chester is a bit of a trek but may just be easier to stick with them 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’m really sorry if this upsets you further but would you want to stick with them? Am I right in thinking they didn’t give proper checks like baseline, dosage etc?
