Hello 👋🏼!! About to embark on the absolutely terrifying process of IVF in June (once my next cycle finishes) and though it might be nice to get chatting to some people going through the same? Meds due tomorrow and bloods booked in for Saturday - Let me know if you are in the same boat would be great to get some support from some fellow infertility warriors ❤️x

@Coops0406 am starting my 2 injection a day today. Just had a scan this morning. Follicles are growing well doctor says 🤞

@PurpleUnicorn01 I don’t feel strange though. it’s just minor constipation and bloat. fruits is really helping with constipation. I will advice that you eat healthy during injection. Our body respond differently though.
@Coops0406 next scan appointment is Friday and also will know when is EC

@Kemqueen great! You only have one full day to get through before your scan! 😬 it'll be Friday before you know it!

Evening all, how’s everyone doing?

I’m now 2dp5dt… time is going so slowly - OTD is when I’m 11dp5dt so next Friday!! I think I’m going to go crazy by then.

Husband is very keen for us not to test until OTD, I think I’ll crack and test earlier than that 🤦🏼‍♀️

@busybee2102 we are the same...next Friday! 😍 I don't think I'll test before...the nurse scared me with the whole false positives before that date due to hcg from trigger so I'd be paranoid!
Have you noticed anything at all? I can't say I have, just my boobs are so sore but that's been since after EC!! I'm back in work so my days are actually going fast...just over a week now! 😬🥰 look after yourself!

@busybee2102 my clinic told me 12dp5dt so next Thursday. It seemed excessive especially but I’ve managed to hold on until the day before each time so I hope to do that this time too! I want to have a definitive answer and know it’s likely accurate than testing early. Although I suppose it gets it out of the way.

@Coops0406 my boobs were sore towards the end of stims and terrible just after egg collection. (TMI) taking my bra off at night was agony I actually feel more normal tonight than I have in ages though... not sure what that means, if anything. Hey periods of feeling quite blue, which I assume is the progesterone?

@Ofpalestsilver I totally get them wanting us to wait for a definitive yay or nay for the testing. False positives must be so hard to deal with. The clinic didn’t give us a test and I haven’t bought any tests ready. Might say to husband that we need to go out and buy them on Thursday night to stop me sneaking one earlier.

@busybee2102 we don’t have any either and I’m trying to hold off getting them.

I also feel quite blue and was wondering if that was the progesterone. Helpful to know I’m not the only one.

My boobs feel like huge tender melons (they were already quite big!)

I’m so with you all on the boobs, even though I only have little bee stings normally! 🐝
Also had some sharp twinges on Tues eve but nothing since. Now I’m doubting if they even happened.

DP wants to wait til OTD too, easy for them to say isn’t it?! Ha.

Currently debating about doing it on 9dp5dt as that would be 14DPO (and the leaflet on my trigger says it only lasts 10 days) so should be pretty accurate by then but I can imagine I’ll also be too terrified to burst my bubble early.

I’m so glad we’re all in this together, feels a lot less scary with so many of us testing around the same time. 😊

What does everyone have planned to keep themselves occupied over the next week? How’s your holiday so far @Ofpalestsilver?

@RiverRiot so hard to chill! I've been back in work so I'm pretty occupied from 7am until I get home! And then all I can think to do is eat then sleep 🤣 not sure if going to bed early is my way of getting the days to pass by quicker!! 🤷🏾‍♀️

@busybee2102 I'm noticing my normal pre-menstrual signs like sore boobs, patience getting slightly less and less each day, spot on my nose!

Not long to go now, another week...before we know it the weekend will be over and it'll be that much closer.

How are you feeling @Ofpalestsilver ? We are likely to be so up and down at this time...I guess you've just got to let the emotions out!

@RiverRiot neither were viable, which is fine. I never imagined we’d have as any to freeze, so very happy with the 3 we have :)

So I'm nearly on my holidays. Off all of next week and I am ready for it. My work is just so insanely busy. I can't believe that that became the case just as I started IVF, just what I needed, haha!

I'm trying to remain positive but failing. Wondering if this doesn't work out this time whether I need to maybe find a new job and dedicate time to being healthy and preparing my body for IVF. Just not possible when you're working 10-12 hours a day unfortunately!

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well and is looking forward to the weekend.

I bought four pregnancy tests today. Stupid really because now I'll be tempted all weekend. I'm trying to get myself til Tuesday and see if I can manage that long. I reckon I should be ok as I think 10dp5dt is a good time to test and anything before hand would just be too uncertain. What about anyone else?

Morning all.

How are you all doing? I’m 5dp5dt today and time is going soooo sloowly. Had a couple of days of feeling back to normal but had a few painful twinges in the left side of my uterus area last night and this morning the same on the right! Boobs still painful but not as bad as right they have been (was bringing tears to my eyes removing my bra…!! TMI sorry!)

My husband has agreed that we will test on Thursday evening, even though he’d prefer we wait until OTD on Friday. I said that if we get a BFN on Friday morning I’ll find it really hard to go to work and keep a brave face all day, whereas if we find out on Thursday I’ll hopefully feel a bit better about it. Like you @Ofpalestsilver I think the day before should be fine!

I haven’t bought any tests yet but shortly going into town and husband has asked me to go to boots or Superdrug… Going to try and be strong and not buy any until I’m on the way home from work on Thursday evening or I know I’ll test beforehand.

@Hopesfor2021 that’s exciting news, those few weeks will fly by!

@Otter3101 I hope your baseline scan was okay. I never got one and really wished they had done one. Is it looking likely for starting stims next week? Such an exciting time in the journey 😊

@busybee2102 only 5 more days to go now! Sounds like your sore boobs have been awful! Glad it's eased off a bit. I woke up this morning and the swelling and soreness of my boobs has gone!

I dreamt this morning that I had a positive test! So even though I'm not generally thinking about it, it's clearly weighing on my subconscious!!

@Coops0406 I’m taking that dream as a good omen! I think even if you try to be chill, it’s so hard. I mean this is my 4th 2ww (after IUI) and this is the hardest! During the first one though I was convinced I was pregnant so… that one ended up being the hardest!

I haven’t tested! Am giving myself til Tuesday! But still got lots of brown discharge (tmi) which is making me feel a bit uncertain!

@busybee2102 Fingers crossed the twinges are a good sign! I had something similar the night after transfer.
Not had the twinges again but now get moments of feeling like my period will come any second and seems to be getting stronger and more frequent. 😬

On the boobs front, my painfulness comes and goes but am finding non-wired or just no bra helps with the discomfort.

@Ofpalestsilver I hope you get to enjoy some R&R this week and some positive news as a bonus!
Was thinking of testing on Weds but am now getting more terrified by the day so may hold out til Fri. Unless I just can’t take not knowing any longer of course! 😆

@RiverRiot I’m most comfortable with no bra, but for work it was a necessity. They are feeling completely normal now though!

@Coops0406 I’ve had so many pregnancy dreams in the past. I hate them - they are always so vivid and real-feeling Fingers crossed it’s a good omen for you and is a sign that your little one is letting you know they are there.

@Ofpalestsilver I have everything crossed for you! I never did any IUIs as we have male factor so other than us having ‘normal’ TWWs when we were trying naturally this is the first ‘proper’ one.

Which explains why I caved and used a FRER this morning. At 6dp5dt 🤦🏼‍♀️

I know I’m an idiot. It was a BFP. First time ever seeing two proper lines (we had a very very faint once before). I know it might not stick and the line might get lighter instead of darker, but right now I feel a lot better knowing that it’s doing something in there at the moment.

@busybee2102 ah it’s easy done. So hard to wait I know! But I’m sure it felt good seeing those lines even if it’s hard to know whether it’s the trigger or not! How are you feeling about it all?

@Ofpalestsilver I’m pretty calm. I did the test knowing all the pros and cons. I’ve never been good at waiting for things 😬 I’m 13 past the trigger and it was a pretty clear line so just have my fingers crossed it isn’t a chemical. What will be will be…

I was trying to be all Schröedinger about it, but failed! Until you test you are both pregnant and not at the same time…
