It's exciting to see how everyone is getting on.

I'm still 7 days away from starting !

My dosage is 450 menopur so bit nervous about side affects as it's quite high

I'm not taking time off work so hoping it all works out. How is everyone managing work? I'm only part time and have a day off in the week so hoping that will be ok

X

@swirls3468 Good luck today!

@strawberrysummer19
I was on 300 and had pretty much no side effects other than some slight twinges. The fyremadel has added a little bit of bloating and general soreness but really nothing too bad. I’ve worked full time but from home throughout with time off for the scans (luckily my job are good as I’ve had scans every other / every day this week).

strawberrysummer19 · 07/04/2021 09:31

@Aprilia123 I've also got fyremadel
I suppose the waiting and anticipation is worse, I just want to get started!

That's good then. My clinic do afternoon scans so I'm hoping I can have them all after work as I'm not long into a new job but again trying to put that to the bottom of my worries

Hey guys!
Had my egg collection today. Was so quick honestly. I am home already! Was expecting to be there much longer.
I feel very sore down there so just taking it easy.
How's everyone getting on? X

Kamiros · 07/04/2021 11:13

@swirls3468 Glad it was quicker than expected - hope all went ok. Definitely take it easy and look after yourself today.

@strawberrysummer19 I've been working through so far, albeit from home. Apart from the pain I had for a few hours yesterday I've been okay - some headaches, tiredness and bloating but I've actually found work to be a good distraction. I finish up for a week on Friday, all going well I'm hoping egg collection will be the end of next week.

strawberrysummer19 · 07/04/2021 13:57

That's good then. Yeah I'm hoping I will find work a distraction. I work from home too so can just take it carefully and hope I don't have to take any time off apart from ec and transfer day which I'm hoping I just move my rest day fingers crossed or it may even fall on a weekend which will be a result x

Can someone help with something pls

So my period is due 14th April when would ec day list likely be ? If that is possible to even work out?

Just my boyfriend needs to put his shifts in ( and sometimes works away ! ) so wondering if it is even possible to at least pencil anything in?

Also when we would likely be doing a pregnancy test - does it work like a normal
Cycle ? As I'm usually 28 days cycle

Hi all, hope it’s ok to join this group, I am starting my cycle the next 2 weeks, nervous but excited too

@strawberrysummer19 it depends on how your follicles respond, when I had my cycle I had 11 days of stims from CD2 and had my collection on CD13.

mowglika · 07/04/2021 14:52

Re the pregnancy test you get given a testing day, it usually works out around 14-16dpo/days from egg collection. Some people do a cheeky test before that, others are good and wait Smile.

I tested for my successful cycle 5days post 5 day transfer so around 10dpo, but I think this time I will wait as it must be nerve racking if you get a negative and you tested early..

It's really difficult to predict the exact dates to be honest as you don't know how you are going to respond. I needed 13 days of stims and was predicted to only need 7-10. Had egg collection today which is day 15. Embryo transfer should be 5 days after this XX
DoctorBambino · 07/04/2021 15:02

@strawberrysummer19 I keep trying to work out dates too! I think realistically it depends how you respond to the drugs. I think usually between 9 and 12 days of stims and egg collection 2 days after that!?

I would love to have a clear plan of exactly what will happen when!

strawberrysummer19 · 07/04/2021 15:28

Thanks that makes sense and as I thought - just the waiting game ! Glad we have this group.

I've never wanted my period to come so quickly ! X

You'll get there. It's a long process. Glad I got to egg collection. I'm feeling pretty rough now though. Very sick. I think it's probably because I've been pumped full of drugs x
strawberrysummer19 · 07/04/2021 15:54

@swirls3468 ah I know I should
Stop wishing time away really.

Oh bless you, I hope you are taking it easy x

@swirls3468 how exciting that you've had eggs collected! Sorry to hear you aren't feeling too great, are you at risk of ohss? Keeping fingers crossed for the next few days for you and your little eggs! Hope you are having a good rest 🤍

Yes I am at risk because of ohss. They predicted to collect 9-12 eggs but more must have grown because of the trigger shot and they managed to get 17 eggs!!! No wonder I feel swollen lol.
I'm feeling much better this evening. Just a bit sore that's all. Xxx

Kamiros · 07/04/2021 20:33

@swirls3468 Glad you're feeling a bit better. That's a good number.

DoctorBambino · 08/04/2021 08:57

@swirls3468 wow 17 sounds amazing!

Thank you ! I just hope a good amount fertilise. Will know soon! Fingers crossed

swirls3468 · 08/04/2021 15:05

So we got the call from the embryologist.
7 fertilised!
That's a massive drop from 17 so to begin with I was a bit upset.
1 was immature, 1 wasn't a fully formed egg. 15 were mature. All 15 injected using ICSI. 8 failed to fertilise. And 7 made it and are in the embryo-scope.
I just really hope we get some good blasts. Won't hear anything till Monday now and hopefully we have a good one to transfer.
IVF is such an emotional rollercoaster.

jolly86 · 08/04/2021 15:32

@swirls3468 that is still a very good number of fertilised eggs and seems most likely you will have some to freeze as well. I see you mentioned you are at Coventry, I will hopefully start there too. Did you have Male factor and knew you needed ICSI or was it decided on the spot?

Kamiros · 08/04/2021 15:55

@swirls3468 I can understand the initial disappointment but think that's still a good number - fingers crossed for Monday.

Do you think? I'm just worried that none will make it 😢. The weekend is gonna go soooo slow. It's out of my hands though.
Yes we already knew about the Icsi they said we'd only be suitable for ICSI. Not sure why partners sperm count so low because he's a very healthy person and eats really well. All his blood tests come back normal. Strange

strawberrysummer19 · 08/04/2021 20:54

@swirls3468 that's still a really good number. I'm crossing everything for you for some good news. Yes it's such a rollercoaster of emotions
Look after yourself over the weekend and sending good positive vibes your way x

Hi everyone, hope its ok to join here

I am on short protocol, day 5 of stims and 1st day of antagonist, I had forgotten how big that needle is!

This is my 3rd cycle over the years, have scan on Monday to see if eggs are responding. Anyone else on Rekovelle or at this stage? Every day seems to be dragging
