@swirls3468 Wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow. I had my Prostap injection on Friday and start Ovaleap tonight. Pleased to be getting on with it but a little up and down emotionally.

Millie029 · 04/04/2021 12:41

@swirls3468
On Friday (day 3 of stims) i felt run down with body aches, headaches, tiredness
and was constantly feeling thirsty. Now on day 5 and that's improved to feeling generally achey, still very thirsty, and feeling a bit bloated. How about you?
We start the fyremadel tomorrow, wondering what will happen with that.

Nope.. when my AMH level came back they did a blood test for PCOS, but that apparently came back clear 🤷‍♀️

Oh i don't blame you feeling that way, 13 days.. oh so many injections!! 🙈 have you had many scans to check the follicle growth?
I'm guessing the ovulation signs could be due to the follicles getting ready, but at higher level due there being more than usual. Im presuming also that the injections keep everything ticking over until the trigger sets off the next stage.
Hopefully tomorrow will result in plans for the trigger, and the next few days will fly by for you xx

Millie029 · 04/04/2021 12:45

Also... my memory appears to have taken some time off... so forgetful at the moment and seem to take longer to process things. Don't know if that's anything do to with the ivf or not! Is anyone else feeling like this?

Aprilia123 · 05/04/2021 09:35

How’s everyone doing?
I had scan after 5 days of menopur today and they measured 4 follicles. Seemed low to me but they seemed happy with it so far, so fingers crossed. Starting fyremadel tonight - not looking forward to two injections...

Millie029 · 05/04/2021 09:51

Fingers crossed for you @Aprilia123 it's positive that they we're happy with your progress so far 🙂
We're starting the fyremadel tonight too.. feeling the same!

Yes I've been the same. Different symptoms every day. Mainly just loss of appetite and bloated now though. Also very tired. I slept 10 hours last night woah!!!!
I went for scan today and looks like I'm ready for egg collection Wednesday 😄 so excited after so many days of stims.
X

Honestly I wouldn't worry too much about early scans. I hardly responded to begin with and they were slow to grow and seem to have grow loads today since my last scan. There's at least 12 big ones now. And on day 5 they were all tiny. Things change day by day, especially towards the end x
Aprilia123 · 05/04/2021 15:21

That’s great news on your collection and counts, hope it goes well Wednesday!
I’ve just had a call to rearrange my meds to a double dose of Fyremadel and reduce the Menopur so looks like they might be growing too well. Have to go back for another scan tomorrow.

Hoping1 · 05/04/2021 19:08

@swirls3468 everything you have said in your post about thinking you have already ovulated and so much Ewcm . That is all normal and happened to me your body is getting ready. Your boobs will hurt all the time get a really comfortable sports bra . Wear lots of loose clothing and your tummy will feel really bloated quite a lot. For Ec wear loose clothing and not layers take your own pad as they give you horrible ones. Take dressing grown and slippers to be comfortable. Also ladies don't worry about the amount of folices/eggs it only takes one. My first got 18 drop to 10 fertilised and only one made it to ET non to freeze. Well another lady who when through it with me got 7 ,4 fertilised and 1 to ET abd 2 to freeze . Hers worked mine didn't just focus on looking after your selves ladies treat yourselves you deserve it after what you are all doing. Xxx

Aprilia123 · 05/04/2021 19:20

That’s a really lovely message Hoping1!

For anyone worried about multiple injections or Fyremadel, it was actually as easy as doing just the one, especially as you don’t have to fill the syringe!

Hoping1 · 05/04/2021 19:30

Also take a drink and snack for after EC as I was really hungry and thristy. Xx

swirls3468 · 05/04/2021 21:46

@Hoping1 Thank you ! That's really nice message and good advice!! I will deffo be wearing comfy clothes etc. I'm so nervous. Mainly about how I'll feel afterwards I think. I just want to feel back to normal now xx

Hoping1 · 06/04/2021 09:41

I felt the same as you now I dong know what clinc you are with but I am with NHS. My clinic were lovely they reassured me the whole time talked me through it and held my hand and stroked my head when I was laid down. I was awake throughout the whole process some are some aren't and I was constantly talked to asked if I was ok and just chatted about life in general. The room was full of professionals looking after you that I didn't focus on the doctor getting the eggs put just the nurse talking to me. After you get checked all the time they only let you go when you ready I walked out I was fine just had wind and cramps nothing worst then my period ones and I slept as couldnt the night before. ET is amazing watching them put your fertilised egg in is somthing eles and mine you take pics and video really is amazing. The TWW is the hardest part ladies simming is a breeze till you get to that TWW . The hormone they give you give off pregnancy symptoms so my whole two weeks I had every symptom but is wasn't to be . Ladies you doing amazing remember to look after yourself xxxx

jolly86 · 06/04/2021 09:52

@Hoping1 that is very useful. I am also with NHS and plan to start right after my info session. I was wondering who does the egg collection and transfer as you mentioned doctor? I had the impression the whole process is nurse run, but do doctors get involved at any of the steps?

Hoping1 · 06/04/2021 10:01

Consultant do Ec and ET well they did at mine so have you had your meeting with your partner and the nurses to explain everything think that after information meeting . I learnt alot from info session things I didn't relize at all xxx

jolly86 · 06/04/2021 10:21

@Hoping1 thanks, I have my session tomorrow! I was under the impression the consultants only assign the medicine. What you said is very reassuring although maybe it depends on the hospital you are at. I am afraid I will have a difficult egg collection as one of my ovaries was found to be behind my womb and I have very low AFC/ AMH.

Hoping1 · 06/04/2021 11:03

At meeting they said it nurse ran to me also but consultant does ec and et. Were about in UK are you. I am north east . The session is good lots of info to take in then you get meeting with your nurse and partner has to attend and they go through all papers you have signed to make sure you understand and consent. That a 2 hour meeting and a lot to take in . They really good and will have seen other people like you . I have a twisted cervix and they had no problem at all getting to it . Try not to stress I know easy said then done but I was suppose to get ivf last year in march and the pandemic hit and delayed us you can imagine the state I was in my first ivf just about to get injection the boom covid but It made me calm down and just go with the flow . What will be will be. I am about to start my second one any day just waiting on period xxx

jolly86 · 06/04/2021 14:32

@Hoping1 thanks again. I am in the west midlands, Coventry CRM. I have the info session tomorrow and will be on short protocol so hoping to start right away. I don't think twisted cervix is an issue indeed but a hidden ovary may make it tricky for egg retrieval. I think they do their best to retrieve it so just have to hope for the best. Sorry that your cycle got delayed it is terrible. Indeed I was supposed to have my info session in sept. but I got pregnant naturally after 16 months and then miscarried so trying IVF now due to my low AMH otherwise unexaplained infertility. Only 1 cycle on NHS then will go abroad if needed.

Hoping1 · 06/04/2021 16:05

Well good luck fingers crossed for you and the rest if the ladies xxx

Kamiros · 06/04/2021 16:34

Hi all. I'm about to do my 3rd injection of Ovaleap tonight and for the past 2 hours I've had quite bad pain in my left ovary, like during ovulation. Should I be feeling that already? Seems early.

Hello I'm at CRM Coventry so if you have any questions just ask!
It's deffo the consultants doing egg collection! It's quite invasive from what I can gather and would take years of medical experience.
Good look in your information session. A lot of mine was explaining the process and consent forms. X

swirls3468 · 06/04/2021 17:09

@Kamiros

Hi all. I'm about to do my 3rd injection of Ovaleap tonight and for the past 2 hours I've had quite bad pain in my left ovary, like during ovulation. Should I be feeling that already? Seems early.
Is it bad pain like crippling or just a twinge ? Because I would say if it's a twinge it's pretty normal. I've had various weird feelings down there and especially today I feel very full and heavy. I do have egg collection tomorrow though so it's to be expected. Day 3 very early for much to be going on x
Kamiros · 06/04/2021 17:18

@swirls3468 I wouldn't say it was crippling but it's more than a twinge. I'll see how I feel after tonight's injection and maybe give the clinic a call. I have very low amh so am on quite a high dose. Fingers crossed it means it might actually be working.

Thanks

swirls3468 · 06/04/2021 17:27

@Kamiros What dose are you on?
Are you booked in for a scan?
Deffo call them they might scan you earlier. But it's probably just your ovaries responding x

Kamiros · 06/04/2021 17:36

@swirls 3468 I'm on 400. I have a scan on Friday which isn't too long. I don't mind the pain and feeling crappy as long as its normal.
