1st IVF mid April

Thought it would be nice to start a thread for anyone starting IVF next month

My period is due mid April

Just finishing off getting last few swabs and bloods done ✅

We've got a prescription so will be getting our drugs.

Then we are all set !

Anyone else ? For me it's my 1st cycle ivf
38yrs
Unexplained fertility with 1 previous child ( she's 9yrs)

Just realised I didn't update here, but I had my day 7 blastocyst transferred yesterday, so we're 2 week wait buddies

Woohoo that's amazing so excited for us. We managed to remember our phone and bring it in for a picture. What date do you test? Ours is 28th xxx

@Babyvibes did you get 2 embryos or you have more in the freezer?

@Sungirl11 we did get 2 embryos. After alot of thought about it and having been trying for so long we just thought why not go all in and do 2 we will find out tomorrow how our other embryos are doing and if they are at the stage to be frozen as they wernt quite there today.

Reading these is getting me excited to get started on my next round. I seem to be having trouble ovulating after the treatment though so it might be longer than I thought.

Hi ladies sending lots of love to you all! My drugs arrived on Friday I’m on the long protocol I’m sniffing Synarel twice a day. I’m feeling awful. Absolutely awful

We had our DD during our last round she’s 15 months.

I’m feeling really down and scared and negative. I feel like saying to work I need a self care day

@Finnytea try not to worry and just relaxe. I believe being like that helped me get to where we are today. I know its easier said than done but possotive thought and possotive vibes my lovely.

If you feel you need time off because you are stressed or anything then do it! I've took a hole month off through this so I can concentrate on me and what we are going through and so pleased I did ❤ best of luck to you.

Thanks @Babyvibes what have you been doing with your time off? Did you take annual leave or tell them you were doing ivf? So glad you are having some you time that’s great well done you xxxxx

@Finnytea I took 2 weeks holiday starting from the week of egg retrieval. Then from next week my doctors have gave me a sicknote for 2 weeks.
I work in schools and have to lift some heavy items and do alot of cleaning after the children aswel as being in 4 different bubbles (cobid bubbles) I just feel its too risky. Bith my employers are aware of us doing ivf and have been very supportive of my decisions.

Yeah that’s such a good idea and I’m so pleased they are supportive that’s great.

How did you feel after egg retrieval? I’m day 6 days into my nasal spray and feeling majorly hormonal xxxx

I'm currently 6+2 and have my scan next Tuesday at 7w.
So not much to update at the moment

@starkid were not far off each other then are we.
Has anyone had any implantation symptoms. I've been cramping and twinges since yesterday tea time. It's eased a little now. @Sungirl11 did you get many symptoms in your 2ww?
@finnytea egg retravial itself wasn't too bad for me but for about 3 -4 days after I wasn't the best. I found the gas in my stomach and shoulders the worst. So uncomfortable but once that eased I was fine 🙂 my hormones were like that at beginning of injections but then they settled. Its so much for our bodies to go through isn't it

@Babyvibes I've had very little symptoms.
I started with the sore breasts (specially in the morning when I wake up), the loss of breath when I go up the stairs or something (as if I would of run down the street) and the tiredness is the worst (I just want to be on the couch or laying down).
These i've had since the TWW and I continue to have them now.
And I only had a bit of cramping (very mild) when my period was due, for like two days.

I never had implantation or bad cramps or nausea or anything else.
It's a but difficult to believe i'm pregnant because I feel really well. Haha

@Sungirl11 hope you have lots of time to rest. Its that gorgeous baby needing all your energy.
My cramping has eased a bit now so hoping I get some sleep tonight. Got shooting pains in my boobs and had a fluttery feeling down below today.

@Babyvibes luckily i'm not working atm so I just lay around all day. I thought my husband would think i'm a mess as I'm home all day and have the house in a horrible state haha but he's really comprehensive and tells me to take care of me and the baby now... he's really sweet. But I just can't be asked to even hoover around...

@babyvibes Yes work is really good with me taking any time I need. We're just on our way back from a week at Centreparcs- lots of lovely walks in the woods and time at the spa, it's definitely helped. I start norethisterone day 19 of my next cycle. I think I should ovulate and day now so stims should start 1st week of July.
